Gastown Historic Walking Food Tour

It was fun and informative and tasty. The guide was funny and the food was delicious. I would totally go on another one in a different location.

Our Host Sean was amazing, humorous and memorable. My international team came from all corners of the world and he made it a great experience for us. The restaurant selection was also amazing. I did not know what to expect having never done such a tour, but I have kept those locations in my records as potential places to take in for the future. Well done and I will for sure recommend this to other colleagues and friends

First time in Canada, and Connor, our tour guide, was knowledgeable, humorous and charismatic. He made the 3-hr. tour go by in a flash with engaging stories and anecdotes. The food was great with a nice balance of alcohol to go with it all. All in the area so the walking was not daunting but gave a decent layout of the town. Well worth the price for the entire experience.

For the amount of money we paid for the Gastown Historic Walking Food Tour it was disappointing. We've been on several food tours worldwide and this by far was lacking in food and wine. The first place we went served us a 2 ounce local beer without any accompaniments. The other stops also limited to 2 ounces of wine with tiny portions of food. Now when i say "tiny", I am not exaggerating. We had a teacup portion of a salad at a nice French restaurant and maybe a cup portion of a pasta dish at an Italian restaurant. Sadly, we left this "Food Tour" hungry.

Kate was wonderful! The food choi6eere excellent....some noted in other reviews that there wasn't much food. I disagree -there was plenty! There were several times that 8had to climb stairs, so those with mobility issues might reconsider, but we loved every minute!

Very fun food tour with a great group of people from all over the world. Andrea was our guide. She was fun, informative, kept our group entertained and introduced us to several great restaurants. Be prepared to have fun and be really full.

Moderate walking, a fair number of stairs (one flight each). Good food selections by the organizers. If the guide had a portable speaker, that would have helped because the group was a little large and the street noise was kind of loud making it hard to hear her at times.

Our guide, Rachel, was great. Knowledgeable, informative and friendly. Went to a number of places in a short distance - Gastown is densely populated with a variety of excellent cuisines - Food and drinks. And lots of history.

Kelsey was a great host and gave us a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon experience in Gastown. The variety of stops were excellent and we tasted a range of foods and beverages in each location. Thank you a great experience on our last night in Canada.

Our guide Andrea was fantastic! She made the experience delightful with her warm, upbeat approach and sense of humor. This is a very well run, organized tour with lots of stops. At some, I wished the portion sizes were a little bigger. It really was a sampling experience more than a progressive meal. The food itself was delicious at each and every stop. Glad we went!

We enjoyed the tour and Kate's knowledge of the Gastown area. The tour visited restaurants and cafes we would never have found and the samples of food were delicious, not forgetting the local wines and beers. It was also nice to meet the other people on the tour. We returned to Brioche and had the most amazing brunch.

Andrea was a wonderful guide. Very knowledgeable, adjusted everything to meet the soeed annd pace of our group. Food was fantastic at every location. She also was great about making adjustments and accommodations based on dietary restrictions and needs.

David the host was entertaining. Some restaurants were disappointing for example the French restaurant gave a microscopic taste of salad. The tortellini was mushy. The Japanese karaage was good. Overall I would not recommend the tour.

Disappointed. Our first day in Vancouver wanted to see the area . Several of the restaurants didn’t have clean tables or napkins. The food was good and our guide was nice although very low-key.

Disappointed with this tour. I have done several food walking toys with via tour in the past and was really looking forward to this one. I was traveling with friends and highly encouraged the tour. A few restaurants had dirty tables and didn’t even have napkins for us. It was limited to pre order instead of sampling many options. Our guide was very nicer but had low energy. After traveling all day we wanted fun and this didn’t check off the boxes. The food was good.

I went with some friends on the North Vancouver Food Tour and it was exceptional! Our guide Zach was awesome and thank you for all your knowledge and fun facts about the Shipyards and Lower Lonsdale area. This tour offers great views starting with the 11 minute Seabus ride to the North Shore. The views of Vancouver from the North Shore are stunning and gives you a different perspective of how big Vancouver is! The restaruants were fantastic and it was very easy to get from one to another with our guide. I will certainly be going back to a few for a full meal! We were all too stuffed before our tour ended! I do want to mention that I did a foodie tour by another company and had to go and have a meal afterwards. This was not case with Taste Vancouver food Tours!

Awesome experience. Simon was not only very knowledgable and informative, but he was also a born entertainer. Great food and 2pm was perfect tour time for us. Fav place was #brioche. Maria was excellent to deal with as we had to move tour days around and she couldnt have been more helpful. Highly recommend!!

Stayed in Vancouver for 3 days before a cruise and did the tour the day before the cruise left. The experience was very good and the guide funny and knowledgable. It was worth the money. My only suggestion to travellers is to do the tour early in the your stay so you you know some of the restaurants you might like to go back to eat later in your stay.

Good food, good history explanation & enough to call it dinner. Guide Andrea was fun to be with. Went back to one of the restaurants the next night.

Loved the food tour. Great food and drinks, very informative! My husband is a very picky eater and he liked everything! Wine or beer was included at most of the stops. Generous portions! I definitely recommend this tour.

We had such a fantastic time on our Gastown food tour in Vancouver. It was a wonderful way to experience the area through its food, culture, and local flavors. Every stop offered something delicious and unique and we loved learning about the history and stories behind Gastown along the way. Andrea, our guide, was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience fun and relaxed. We got to discover parts of Vancouver we may have otherwise missed while enjoying some truly amazing food and drinks. If you're visiting Vancouver and enjoy good food and a little history, I highly recommend taking this tour. It was a great way to end our Alaskan adventure before we flew home.

Entertaining, informative, and tasty! This was a fabulous food tour of Vancouver's infamous Gastown. Our guide, David, was very funny and also super organized. This was a very well-planned tour. There were 7 stops on the food tour, progressing from a drink and an appetizer to main sampler portions and dessert. Well worth the time and money.

My cousin’s came as skeptics but during the experience they both were so impressed that they plan to return with friends. Food and company as top tier! Thank you Dan for a truly awesome experience. Think of it as a pub crawl meets progressive dinner with a garnish of local stories. This tour provides a different course at each stop accompanied by local wine and brew tastings (non-alcohol beverages also available).

This is the best food tour we have ever taken. David was our tour guide and he did an amazing job. He shared so many interesting and entertaining stories about the Gastown neighborhood. This was definitely more than just a food tour.

Andrea was awesome! Places we stopped were nice, clean and accommodating. Good food at all stops, if you’re not a wine drinker, only water or lemonade options (just FYI). Good value for $. We had a great time.

Sean was a fabulous tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and engaging, but the food and wine fell short. Overall the food was okay, but very heavy and somewhat bland and boring. The wines were actually very good, but minute pours of around 1.5 - 2.0 oz. at our first two stops was a little too little. The best dish was a salad with lardons and goat cheese, but the portion size was maybe 2 - 3 bites. Enjoyed the tour and Sean’s witty commentary, but the tour fell short on the food and wine and we felt it was overpriced for what we got.

Sean was the BEST! Gave us a lot of information in a fun way. Food was excellent all around, and a great tour of Gastown! I highly recommend this activity!!!

We walked around Gastown and stopped at a series of pubs and restaurants. Food and drinks were excellent and our tour guide Andrea was wonderful. We really appreciated her history about Vancouver!

A fun afternoon eating our way through Gastown, with Sean as our guide! I highly recommend this tour
