Downtown Victoria Food & City Tour

Excellent food tour! Loved that we explored the smaller venues and experienced hidden places we have never been to before, despite living here! Eric was a great host and we'd highly recommend the tour, arrive hungry !

Eric was great. He was knowledgeable about Victoria and about food. The food was great, well balanced mix between sweet and savory and a good variety. We met some interesting local restaurateurs.

What a fun and interesting experience! Our tour guide, Erik, was a great storyteller and very knowledgeable with the history of Victoria and the eating establishments we visited. We enjoyed the variety, quality and quantity of food for tasting. When visiting Victoria, I recommend signing up for a tour with Off the Eaten Path.

We had an absolutely fantastic food tour in Victoria with our guide, Vasi! We stopped at seven different places, and the variety was incredible. Every stop offered something different, and we got to try so many delicious things. The restaurants and food spots were locally owned, including several family-run businesses, and it was clear that Vasi has built wonderful relationships with the people in the local food community. They all knew her! Even while we were walking between stops, people would wave, say hello, and call out to her. It really added to the experience. Vasi was extremely knowledgeable and clearly passionate about Victoria’s food scene. We covered a lot of ground and saw a great deal of the city, but somehow it never felt exhausting. Come to this tour hungry! You will eat A LOT. There was so much food at each stop that by the end we were completely stuffed — in the best possible way. The combination of great food, locally owned businesses, interesting stories, and Vasi’s personality made this an excellent tour and a fantastic value. We discovered places we probably never would have found on our own and got to experience a really fun side of Victoria. Great guide, great tour, great food, great local spots, and an excellent value. We highly recommend this tour!

Great share of a city from a local.

The tour guide was well informed and we loved eating while we learned about downtown Victoria. All the food was delicious and it was nice to try food from small venues.

Our group of six had a fantastic time on this tour. Our guide, Vasi, was incredibly knowledgable and accommodating of our needs. We learned a lot about Victoria and had a delicious and eclectic variety of local food and treats. Highly recommend!

Wendy provided an excellent experience with a variety of tasty treats and small bites. The seafood chowder, the Iranian dish, and the chocolate truffles & drinking chocolate were highlights. Thank you!

Fun experience of downtown Victoria with a variety of sampling in 7 different spots. Would have liked fewer stops with a comfortable seat in each.several of the stops were standing up.

Food tour great guide, didn’t enjoy the food that much. The sweets and clam chowder great. Stomach wasn’t happy with all the different spices at the end.

So much food and all so tasty! No need for dinner!

Really informative and good way to get to know Victoria

These tours are my go to easy button to visit any new place (and some old - I actually live here and brought friends for the tour). Off the Eaten Track is great and thoughtfully curates a tour of lesser known but absolutely delicious locations. Vasi, our guide, was super knowledgeable, friendly and engaging. We had fun comparing local knowledge of food and she even let me add my own stop (I had to duck into Serena's to get us all pizza to try - it's my favourite in the city). Come here and tour with these guys - you won't be disappointed.

Wendy was a great tour guide. I wish I could have heard her better while we were on the streets. Make sure you have your group within ear shot. Guide had to move fast, so if you are looking for a short paced tour, this isn’t it. I think the idea of taking us off the beaten path is great! I loved hearing the stories about how the restaurants were created. I’m still not sure about the corn dog . ;)

Guide was knowledgeable, funny, ad friendly. Service was great.

I had an amazing time with Brenda. She was full of information about Victoria, all of the stops on the tour, and many recommendations well outside of the tour. I'm going tell my friends to join on their next trip.

The tour location was easy to find, using the address they provided and I loved the little shop they were in that sold little local trinkets, art and snacks. Vasi was our tour guide and she did wonderfully. I appreciated all the places she took us and the variety of food we had (I won't name any in particular since I think it's supposed to be a surprise). It was also great that it was a variety of cultural dishes. All very tasty. My partner and I each had our favorites, that's for sure. We appreciated Vasi's knowledge of the local restaurants she took us to as well as the knowledge of the area. It was also a great opportunity to chat with other tourists. I'm so glad I purchased these tickets! 10 out of 10 - I would recommend this tour and Vasi!

It was sooo much food so make sure you come hungry. Brenda was great and very funny.

Our city and food guide, Wendy, did an excellent job. She knows the city and is a great advocate for Victoria and its food scene. She took us to seven locations and all were very good. My favorite was the Korean Korndog, although every restaurant was very good. In addition we had a great group of people from around the world. The food was really good and there was enough that you will leave satiated. Thanks Wendy!

Vasi was our guide, she shared a personal story that was very heartfelt & which made the tour more personal. The restaurants were small family run that you probably not go to & the food was amazing. Plus we didn’t have to wait for the food. The Korean hotdog was delicious!

Wonderful food tour with Vasi. She was super sweet and knowledgeable. Do not eat breakfast on the day of your tour as there is LOTS of food and a good variety, too! It’s a great way to see the city.

Wendy was an absolute superstar and deserves so much credit. She made our tour fantastic and gave us lots of great insight into the city. As we were the only ones booked on that tour we also got a very personal experience which we loved. We also ate lots of good food at all the venues! We have given 4 stars not 5 because some of the food choices seemed odd. We expected specific local Canadian or BC dishes or eateries, and it did feel an odd choice to eat where we did, although all of the food was very tasty. We had food at a local Korean place, a local Mexican place, a French macaron place, a French chocolatier, and finally (and what did feel most strange) a restaurant attached to the tour guide venue where we ate a single dish from the menu. Like I say we got great quantities of food for the money we paid, a fabulous guide and the food was all very nice too, but they seemed like very strange choices on a local food tour.

Tour was wonderful. Brenda the tour guide made it extra special. She was extremely knowledgeable of the area. Gave great tips on the city and she truly made the tour special.

Vasi was our guide. Can't say enough about her! Knowledgeable, gracious, and shear delight. Loved her! Diversity of culinary selections was impressive. Sampling of food crossed regional boundaries, both locally and globally. The tour is well worth it. I give it my highest recommendation.
