My husband and I came on Tues to Friday and it has been the best holiday we have had. We came in Oct and the weather has been great. We have had total relaxation with hiking, kayaking and lots of campfires. We are definitely coming back and the views from our cabin amazing.

I am a UK tour operator and booked Harrison Lodge on the Lake for two of my clients. Their experience was completely unacceptable and the way the complaint has subsequently been handled has made matters considerably worse. The photographs attached show the accommodation as my clients found it when they arrived. The room had clearly not been properly prepared: the bed was left in disorder, rubbish and debris remained in the room, there was an overflowing/used bin, dirty windows with substantial cobwebs and debris. there was also staining running down the wall beneath the air-conditioning unit. The owner subsequently explained to my clients that the cleaner had experienced transport problems and had therefore not arrived to service the room in time. However, no communication or warning whatsoever was given to myself or clients beforehand. They simply arrived expecting the accommodation they had booked and paid for to be ready. The condition was sufficiently unacceptable that my clients had to be relocated to alternative accommodation the following day. What has made the situation particularly disappointing is the handling of the refund. When the problem occurred, the owner verbally offered a full refund. This was subsequently reduced to 50%, which was confirmed in a text message. After the matter was then pursued through our accommodation supplier, the offer has apparently been reduced yet again to approximately one night's refund. So the sequence has been: Room not prepared on arrival → no advance warning → clients had to be relocated → full refund verbally offered → 50% refund subsequently offered in writing → now approximately one night's refund. I have retained the photographs, messages and correspondence relating to the complaint. Problems occasionally happen in travel, and a cleaner having unexpected transport difficulties is entirely possible. What matters is how a property deals with the problem when it happens. In this case there was no advance communication, my clients could not reasonably stay in the accommodation as presented and the refund position has repeatedly changed afterwards. As a professional travel company, I need to be able to rely both on the accommodation supplied and on commitments made when something goes wrong. Based on this experience, I could not recommend this property and would not place clients here again. I would invite Harrison Lodge to consider their actions in the future more carefully.
Love the setting and the dome itself. Stayed there a couple times, and loved it but will not continue to support based on the owner and a few other things. The owner blocks the entire calendar so that he can up charge for events (weddings, etc.), making it virtually impossible to go over the weekend, and even during the week now, most the time. We forgot our house coat there and he ignored every message sent in an attempt to arrange picking it up. With the prices charged, did he really need to steal that from us? There is nothing to speak about regarding service when there....but to not even respond to a single simple request to get our item back? There is also basically no water access, so while it is a beautiful view from the dome, the experience is what you make it. Come prepared with all you need, and a good mind frame, because that's all you get outside of a nice dome and great view. Edit: oh, I forgot to add that you are not secure when staying there. The same pass code is used for all the doors on all the suites, and it wasn't changed between the times we were there. Don't trust your security there, or how this place is run.
Hello , we stayed 2 nights. First night was in the Geo dome which was cool in itself. But getting down to it , is very scary with luggage. The view was incredible except the blinking light from the shore flashing into the windows. It also needs more hooks for towels. Bathtub was very relaxing. Second night we stayed in cabin #2. Bed is way too small for 2 grown ups. No side table on the one side. And the view was very disappointing for the amount spent. Controversy comment , but the trees could use a trim to embrace the beauty of the lake. Lack of staff on site is a bit unnerving.
Very nice and clean room with huge picture windows. Great views of the mountains to the north and balcony views of the lake with sunsetting behind the mountains. Good floor space for our shiba's bed and food/water bowls. We loved that they were pet friendly! Even though the windows are huge, we still had lots of privacy, being on the 2nd floor and having blinds for windows facing the parking lot. I do wish there were more places to hang wet towels in the bathroom as there was only one hook. Beautiful grounds.
