Oceanside Village Resort

I just wanted to share my deep appreciation for Oceanside here as we had lost an item in one of their units. Their staff went above and beyond to find that item that was lodged in the bed frame/mattress and mail it back to me at no cost, even after I had offered to pay for shipping. Excellent customer service that isn't forgotten or lost on us and we will be back!

We had a great stay overall as the hotel was clean with a beautiful backyard and well-stocked kitchen. Unfortunately, an interaction with a staff member at the end of our stay left a lasting negative impression. The day after we checked out, my child realized they had left behind an accessory to a stuffed animal. I called the hotel and was told someone would look for it and call me back, but I never received a call. I returned the next day to ask in-person. I understand that lost items aren't always found but when I began to explain that my child is autistic and that the item is a comfort item, the staff member replied, "If it's that important to you, then maybe you should keep a better eye on it next time." The issue wasn’t that the item couldn’t be found but it was the lack of empathy. That comment was unnecessarily insensitive and overshadowed what had otherwise been a positive stay. I hope management reminds staff that a little compassion can make a big difference, especially when a guest has taken the time to explain why a situation is particularly difficult for the family.

The resort is in a beautiful location with stunning views and a relaxing atmosphere. The grounds are well maintained, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The room was comfortable, but some of the appliances and amenities could benefit from an upgrade to match the overall quality of the resort. I did not have the opportunity to try the food, so I cannot comment on the dining experience. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay, and I would recommend it to travelers looking for a peaceful getaway with great scenery and excellent service. Dog friendly

We had a great stay would stay again. Cabin was perfect for 3 of us. Will look at coming back again next year. Swimming pool just down the street was a great addition. We never did figure out how to walk down to the ocean from here so we traveled a couple mins to rathtrevor park. Highly recommend checking this out as well. Bunnies and birds all over the village. Very quiet barely could hear dogs walking past barking. The riptide mini golf is right down the street as well.
