We stayed at the Coast coal harbour hotel from 30th July to 2nd August and from the moment we arrived we were treated very well and looked after by Kritzel who has excellent customer service skills and made us feel very welcome. We arrived early from our cruise and they kindly offered an alternative room so we could check in early but we opted to wait for the room type we booked and this was ready within 2 hours. The hotel stored our luggage so we could go explore the area, the staff are all very polite and helpful. The hotel is very modern, clean and tidy. The rooms are a good size with good size beds and the electronic lighting panel is a great feature and easy to us when going to sleep and needing to turn off all lights at once. The floor to ceiling windows are something to be aware of if you have a fear of heights. The bathroom is spacious, clean and has everything you need. The gym is well equipped and located next to the outdoor pool. We definitely recommend this hotel and we would love to stay here again should we be lucky enough to go back to Vancouver in the future. Thank you Coast coal harbour hotel for making us feel so welcome and at home. we had an amazing stay.
We had never been to Vancouver, so we did not know entirely what to expect with the location or hotel choice, but we absolutely loved this hotel. The staff was so helpful and nice and the location of the hotel was amazing. We were able to walk to restaurants, Canada Place, the seawall, and to many parts of the city. The room and our view were great and the the bidet toilet with all kinds of settings was a nice addition to the room lol. Would definitely stay here again if we return to Vancouver!
===UPDATE=== I review the response from the Hotel. The "Refreshingly Local™ stay" is not an excuse to deducting amenities. You can avoid just providing amenities indirectly, but they should be free, if your customers ask for it. Water, toothbrush, etc., are necessary for every traveler. You know how JP APA is doing right now? They are still providing those amenities in the room. If you ask for more stuffs, they will be also willing to offer it. ====== Here costs me at least $400 ~ $500 each night during the middle of July. I could not get a free bottle of water and there is also no in-site laundry. This room also does not deserve this price. It has huge differences between the JP APA hotel. Coast Hotel only learns washlet toilet and polite attitude from the JP APA. However, the service from the staffs are great. They also got a convenient location in Vancouver.
Nice hotel but missing some great essentials for business travel. The lobby does not have any space like a business center to meet a client. Simple stuff like a coffee machine at the lobby or complementary water in the room would be nice. For the price, I would have gotten better value in another hotel...I ended up meeting clients in an alternate location.
