Absoluly amazing. My partner booked for my birthday. From the second we booked in i was treated like a princess. The reflexology was out of this world. I had a evening meal booked and our server Lloyd when above and beyond to make sure I had the most amazing night. The food was stunning. Out of this world stuning. I can highlyt recommend a celebration here. The staff have made my birthday feel so special. Exceptional. Thank you xxx
I stayed overnight as I has a business event the next day. From the check-in stage through to the check-out stage, everything was great. The reception and restaurant staff were fabulous; friendly, professional and very helpful. The hotel is very nice,very clean and the view is just spectacular. There was a wedding when I arrived and I was worried that I might hear music through the night but my worries were laid to rest straight away really. I was in bed by midnight and couldn't hear anything that was going on anywhere in the hotel, weddings or not. I would definitely go again, location was ideal, easy to get to and overall the experience was great evsn though it was a very short stay.
16 of us went for 2 nights and 3 games of golf in June. We'd been there 3 times before. Things have deteriorated. I contacted the hotel manager the week after with the following points, and got an auto reply saying he was on hol and would reply later. I gave him 3 weeks and followed up - nothing. 1 I tried to submit the message below as feedback, but when you click on "Submit" on the contact page on your website, nothing happens. So I emailed. I took me a while to find out how - the staff gave me a wrong address when I rang. 2 Safety issue ignored: the sports bar had a ramp (for wheelchairs?) covering HALF of three stairs. Having had a few drinks, one of us stood on the edge and fell. His head missed a pillar by inches. 3 Our group are mostly old geezers, and have difficulty hearing in crowded rooms. In previous years, we were allowed to use the hotel dining room, and I think we were fairly well behaved. This time, we were told we had to use the sports bar restaurant - a self-serve canteen with terrible acoustics. The staff were universally great, but the food wasn't - "school dinners" was one comment - (and the choice of beers - well, there is no real beer). But I think we paid hotel prices.
The room was ok but cobwebs all around the balcony... reception and bar staff were OK but sime of the breakfast bar staff seemed almost annoyed to be bothered. The grounds are beautiful with lots of wildlife and the spa facilities quite good but I don't think Id go back.
We came to the Vale for a second time for a couple getaway and overall had a positive experience! The facilities were available prior to check in which allowed us to enjoy an afternoon in the pool, jacuzzi, sauna/steam and even sunbathed outside thanks to the beautiful weather. Everywhere is well maintained and staff are always on hand to help. The only thing I would say is that it does get quite busy which makes it harder to enjoy/relax. We spent the evening in the Vale Bar. Unfortunately the grill was fully booked so I recommend booking prior to your stay to avoid disappointment. However, we enjoyed the food in the bar more than the grill. I would still say it is overpriced though for the standard of food. Everywhere was very busy (bank hol weekend) but staff were trying their best to keep up with demand. We did end up waiting over an hour for food but the lovely lady who served us, Haley, didn’t hesitate to get us a free drink to compensate which was really appreciated. If it wasn’t for the bar staff being lovely, I think this could have ruined our experience. The rooms here are nice and big, even in the standard doubles. We were happy with the hygiene standards but were disappointed not to have a fridge in the room but that is minor. Overall the room was perfect for a night away as a couple.
