Beautiful hotel right in the heart of Bristol. The hotel was within walking distance of everything we wanted to visit. The hotel was incredibly clean and it smelled great! The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. I was even able to sign into Netflix on the room's TV. The drinks were great; the cocktails were outstanding. Parking was great, very safe, secure and reasonably priced. We will definitely return. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Only downside is there's no spa facilities - a hot tub would have been nice. Also, my Mrs wanted a sweet treat quite late. I asked if we could have a dessert at 10pm and a nice lady said yes, she gave me a menu. 2 minutes later I returned to a different member of staff and he wouldn't let us order a dessert, he completely shut me down. Slightly disappointing. Apart from that, brilliant!

We stayed at the Marriott for one night during the bank holiday and had a great experience overall. The location is excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and always ready to help. Unfortunately, our initial room had a leak under the sink, but as soon as we reported it, the team arranged another room for us straight away, which we really appreciated. Both rooms were nicely decorated and comfortable, although some of the furniture in the second room could do with being updated. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and definitely one of the highlights of our stay. Overall, we had a lovely time and would happily return. The pictures speak for themselves!
We chose this hotel expecting a comfortable and professionally managed stay, but unfortunately our experience fell well below the standard we anticipated. The cleanliness was particularly concerning. We discovered aphids in the room, and the sofa bed mattress had visible urine stains. This is simply unacceptable for any hotel and raises serious concerns about the property’s hygiene standards and quality control. Operational issues further diminished our stay. Throughout our visit, only one of the elevators was functioning, resulting in lengthy waits each morning and causing unnecessary delays during the busiest times of the day. The most disappointing aspect, however, was the management’s handling of our departure. We had reserved two rooms and were travelling with seven pieces of luggage, yet staff refused to allow us to leave more than four bags in the lobby, despite the circumstances. Rather than demonstrating flexibility or attempting to accommodate guests, the response was rigid and unhelpful. This avoidable decision disrupted our carefully planned itinerary, caused us to miss valuable time, and left us feeling that guest convenience was not a priority. The hotel’s location, within walking distance of the Floating Harbour, is a positive feature. Regrettably, a convenient location cannot compensate for poor cleanliness, inadequate facilities, and disappointing customer service. We left with the impression that the hotel falls short in the areas that matter most.
For a Marriott, this hotel was a bit of a disappointment. Staff were lovely, but the room was weirdly hot even with the aircon on its coldest setting all night. Windows couldn’t be opened either. At breakfast, other tables were saying the same thing There are no plugs near the bed so unless you have a usb charger you can’t charge your devices bedside which is an inconvenience. Breakfast was included in my rate but a latte or cappuccino coffee was additional charge which I have never encountered before - especially from a Marriott. Location was great, bed comfortable. I wouldn’t necessarily stay here again given the uncomfortable heat and weird coffee charges at breakfast
Beautiful suite but otherwise a very disappointing experience: - No air conditioning and no fans could be provided; - Lots of noise could be heard from outside throughout the night, meaning I had almost no sleep; - Incredibly uncomfortable bed; - Staff unhelpful, had to ask several times for room to be turned up, no fans provided and had to go down to front desk because phone was not being answered; - Breakfast in M Lounge was also disappointing, particularly cheap eggs and lack of hot veggie selection. Beautiful hotel let down by none of the basics being done right. Budget experience at non-budget prices.
