The restaurant staff (Rebecca & Meg) were exceptionally friendly. Hospitality was great throughout the entire meal, and my gosh the chilli con carne actually had a spice level I haven't experienced in a while. The Argentina footie game was on, which added to the already impressive atmosphere. My cousin and I stumbled here purely by chance as we head to drive the A4069 (otherwise known as the Black Mountain Pass) to catch the sunset. Worth another visit if in the area

Absolutely amazing place to go. Staff especially Katie who was so helpful and friendly. Martin was lovely too making us feel so welcome and couldn’t do enough for us. Great littl pub, the room was fine although there was no extraction in the bathroom. They used to do the best Polish Sausage meal but didn't when I last went. Hoping they bring it back for next year's visit.

Visited this pub for lunch recently with a disabled friend. As we were traveling to Llandovery by train I had arranged with Kirk, the very helpful landlord, to phone our orders on arrival at the station as our time was limited in order to catch a return train back to Shrewsbury. The help and service we received was outstanding and Kirk and the team at The Bear were brilliant. Many thanks for making it a great day out and for being so supportive and helpful. We shall be back again in the autumn. Oh - and the food was excellent also!
