1 Hour Gyrocopter Flight From Brighton To Beachy Head

Excellent trip with Lloyd. Didn’t really know what to expect (it was a birthday present) but really enjoyed the experience. Lloyd explains everything really well and although you are not enclosed the experience is great flying gear provided keeps you warm and you are mic’d up so can hear everything. Our route went out over Devils Dyke and the south downs (passing right over the Amex!) then back along the coast from the seven sisters past Brighton back to Shoreham. Great views and lucky to have a very clear day. Would highly recommend it.

Very exciting and fun experience, Looks completely mad to go up in a motorbike with a propellor, but once up in the air, it feels very safe and the views are amazing. Such a perfect part of the world to do this in too. Highly recommended.

Absolutely brilliant Lloyd was great super informative and really friendly. The flight was stunning and gave me a new found appreciation for the south downs and coastline. Lloyd even let me have a go at flying which just added to an overall great experience. Fantastic for a gift for someone.

This trip made my day, week, year.... I've wanted to fly in a gyrocopter since probably seeing Little Nellie in that bond film , You Only Live Twice. I can't recommend Lloyd (the pilot) enough- informative, friendly and chatty. Will be looking to book again soon as well worth the price. This is definitely a bucket list trip. Absolutely brilliant experience. Bought this as a gift for our Dad's 80th birthday. We had initial contact with Lloyd the pilot when booking and the day before the flight. Lloyd was brilliant and definitely felt we were in safe hands. Dad got a good hour in the sky so great value for money. The airport has a great cafe on site with an outdoor seating area overlooking the runways so fabulous views of dad taking off and landing. Lloyd even sent us some aerial photos of Dad. Brilliant day, thank you Lloyd!

Very though preflight briefing with emphasis on safety. The flight was well managed and carried out very professionally Visibility was good and landmarks were easy to pick out enhancing the whole experience It was an outstanding experience and I’m booking another flight. What more can I say.

This was an absolutely brilliant experience. Lloyd explained everything very clearly and was happy to fly my preferred route across West Sussex rather than eastward which also allowed my grandchildren to watch me fly past their home! This was my first experience of flying in an open cockpit and allowed for amazing views all around (and down!) Although small, the gyroplane felt very stable in flight, even during the time that Lloyd let me take the controls! I would thoroughly recommend this experience to anybody.

Yesterday I showed my grand-daughter a buzzard slowly ascending on thermals way above our back garden in mid-Sussex. This evening, I took this gyrocopter 1 hour flight above the South Downs and Sussex shoreline - a landscape of so many tales over the last 35 years of my life and all piloted by the very capable and amiable Lloyd. For such a small craft, it's incredibly stable and there was no turbulence nor Rosa Klebb et al trying to shoot us down! My wife, who bought me this experience as a 60th birthday present, asked me afterwards whether I was frightened whilst flying: the honest answer was 'no' as I was too busy focusing on the different view of the landmarks that have featured in my recent life, the people I've met along the way...and just how green the Amex's grass is compared to everywhere else given the current drought! In short, this experience has all the 'wow factor' you could ever need. But like that buzzard, in what I can only describe as a calmly exhilerating way.

Great trip - really glad I tried this. Stunning scenery and the experience feels very 'direct' with the open cockpit. I particularly enjoyed having a go on the controls, with Lloyd talking me through what to do.

Wow. This was an incredible experience that my wife purchased for my 60th birthday. Although I was slightly apprehensive of sitting in a completely open gyrocoptor it was not scary AT ALL. Lloyd the owner was very good at explaining everything, putting me at ease. The take off was the part I was most worried about but it was VERY smooth. In fact the GC was far more stable than several light aircraft I had also been in. The flight itself was incredible and I was immediately totally relaxed as the sights take your mind off being scared. The views throughout were incredible and despite living on the south coast for my entire life I saw sights and things along the coast to beachy head and back that I never knew existed. Ignore any concerns you may have, step outside your comfort zone and within 1 minute of getting airborne you will be at ease and enjoying the flight. There is no doubt I will be doing it again with Lloyd.

From Start to Finish The Gyrocopter Ride was great , Lloyd was great at getting me prepared . Then when Air borne had the chance to fly " little nellie " ( oldies will remember !! ) If I dont take up Training for a License , then without a doubt I will be back fora few 1 2 1 flights for a bit more flying time

I was pretty nervous to start with, but Lloyd completely put me at ease! I honestly cannot reccomend this experience enough and I've already told friends and family to get a date booked in. This was possibly the most fun I have had this year! Lloyd is so professional and passionate about flying, not once did I feel uneasy (apart from the little tricks we did above brighton beach for a brief moment!) What a gift to receive for Christmas ! The experience was breathtaking, from the friendly and professional reception by Lloyd, to the flight and the fantastic art deco surroundings of the airport building. The Hummingbird cafe (a must visit even if flying is not your thing, great food staff and surroundings) is the place to wait and meet up whilst grabbing some refreshments. This is the first time I have flown in an open cockpit, what a difference from a fixed wing aircraft or helicopters. The gyro copter just feels at one with the environment. The view of this area of natural beauty is enhanced by this mode of travel as we made our way along the coast via Brighton, Newhaven,Seaford, Burling gap and Beachy head. Then back over the South Downs over Cuckmere Country Park and the Amex stadium to the airport. Lloyd gave clear and concise descriptions and demonstrations of the aircrafts capabilities and characteristics during our journey, and was a very safe pair of hands at the helm. This is a great opportunity for anybody who loves the thrill of flying in a totally unique way, across some of the most evocative scenery in the UK.

I booked the 1 hour gyroflight for my dad. It was a special gift from the family for his 80th birthday. He absolutely loved it. Lloyd was brilliant, he made the flight such an amazing experience. The Gyroplane was a great experience. Very different way to fly compared to your usual holiday flights. But felt very safe and secure. Lloyd, the pilot was very reassuring and gave a comprehensive safety briefing. Fantastic views from about 1000ft up of the country side and local towns. The airport is a lovely art deco building that harks back to a bygone era when flying was something special.

Had the most wonderful one hour flight over the Sussex country side in a Gyrocopter. The most memorable trip on a perfect day to view the South Downs, the famous white chalk cliffs and the coast line from Newhaven to Brighton from above. So relaxing and peaceful. This was because I felt so secure after my safety briefing and the caring and professional manner of my pilot Lloyd who explained exactly what to expect. Being in an open cockpit was just thrilling and felt a true adventure. Would highly recommend and the best birthday present ever!

If you are looking for a unique experience that I guarantee none of your friends have tried, then I can totally recommend a Gyrocopter flight over Brighton and the South Coast. It is honestly an experience I won't forget. I’ll admit I was a little nervous at first, but Lloyd was brilliant. He took the time to explain how safe the gyrocopter is and walked me through what to expect, which completely put me at ease. Once we were in the air, any nerves disappeared. The feeling of flying in a gyrocopter is so different from a plane—it feels much more open and immersive. It's like riding a motor bike in the sky! The views were spectacular. Seeing Brighton from that vantage point is unforgettable; we had a perfect view of the iconic Piers, and flying over the Amex football stadium was a massive bonus. If you’re a football fan or just want to see the city from a new angle, this is the way to do it. Thanks again, Lloyd, for a safe and thrilling flight.

This really is an amazing experience. Lloyd is an exceptional pilot and does everything possible to make it unique to you. As the aircraft has duel controls I was given the opportunity to have a go at flying it.  Shoreham airport is nicely located with stunning scenery around the area, viewing it from an open cockpit aircraft was incredible. There's a great cafe/restaurant on Airport that's also dog friendly, so any family or friends who go with you can watch from inside or outside the cafe and have a great view of the airfield. I would highly recommend Lloyd and this experience.

My family wanted to give me a memorable experience for my 80th birthday. I chose an hour's flight with Lloyd in his wondrous aircraft. The flight exceeded my high expectations. Thank you Lloyd for your kindness and great expertise. You gave me so many delightful memories. Highly recommended!

I organised the gyrocopter flight as a birthday present for my brother. Well, all I did was ring Lloyd and book it with him, easy. When I told my brother, he was thrilled at the thought, but said, You know it's way out of my comfort zone! Lloyd is great, he met us at Shoreham er sorry Brighton City Airport and went through safety checks with Tony whilst I waited having a coffee in the bar/restaurant. They were soon ready for the off, I took some photos of them on the tarmac and watched them take off and fly into the distance. When they landed back in Shoreham Lloyd took photos of Tony with the Gyrocopter, which he kindly forwarded to us. I took some more photos of Tony with the warm outfit and helmet he wore for the flight (provided). They will be a fitting reminder of what Tony tells me is his :- The Best Birthday Present Ever!
