Wingrove House

Old style property with old style service. We had a wonderful Sunday lunch and will have to commend whoever trains the staff as they were amazing. Young and enthusiastic, attentive, polite, friendly and professional 5 stars. The lunch was good value and generous proportions.

Just left the Wingrove after three fabulous nights there again, rooms are beautiful and food amazing. All of the staff are wonderful and helpful but found it astonishing that drinks front the bar each evening had to be paid immediately rather than adding to the room bill. Seemed rather odd and something we haven’t encountered at other hotels. Fortunately it didn’t dampen our experience and we’ve rebooked for next year, But maybe something the hotel needs to look into, they had our card details so no chance of not paying!

Had a delicious afternoon tea. Everything was yummy! Only complaint was £15 for large wine. However, will be back to try lunch or evening meal as menus looked very nice.

The Wingrove House truly is a home away from home. Its cosy, intimate atmosphere and beautiful position in the village make every stay feel special. We love that each room has its own character and charm. For our anniversary, we stayed in a superior room overlooking the green, the church and South Downs in the distance, such a romantic setting. The bathroom was wonderful, with double washbasins, a luxurious bath for a long soak, and a separate rain shower. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, and the staff were friendly throughout our stay. Last year, the Wingrove House organised our wedding, and we couldn’t have wished for a more perfect event. We chose it for its homely, intimate feel, and the team exceeded every expectation. The organisation, the canapés, and the wedding breakfast were exceptional. Together with some of our guests we stayed overnight, and we enjoyed a late dinner together in the private dining room. It was truly magical! We hope to celebrate many more anniversaries in this beautiful place.
