Stunning property and amazing communication / customer service. It would appear that it's a gamble staying here as I could hear a couple in the hot tub when I got off the bus they were so loud! I arrived around 6pm to blaring music and them talking and laughing at the top of their voices, drunk. The property advertises it as a retreat but shows images of people drinking in the hot tub and whilst it's great that folks have a fab time, they completely took over the house. I went to say hi and they told me they would go to the pub then come back to the garden and share my hot tub slot with me which was 9pm. I'd left London as was frazzled only to encounter more chaos that you might not get in a hotel or if the owner was on the premises, which they were not. So I went for a walk as the room was boiling in the heatwave with no fan. A map in the welcome pack would've been useful as I was trying to get to the sunset. I found Aldi close by! Returned 2.5 hours later and they were still there. Other guests complained about it at breakfast the next morning as they were tired from an early start and had to endure the couple in the tub with them. It was uncomfortable. That said, I would try my luck again as there are some lovely walking trails if you can find them and the hosts were very friendly and helpful, the place was spotless and there was a really nice vibe amongst guests when it was calmer over the dry breakfast of croissants, toast, crumpets, yoghurts and tea.

I stayed at the Northrise retreat on my own to get away. The hotel was comfortable, accommodating and relaxing. It's only a 10 minute drive from the seaside. You access the hotel with a key code for convenient arrival and the directions are clear and simple. The hot tub is warm and relaxing with a sauna option that you book on the day. The communal areas are clean and comfortable with microwave, toaster and plenty of tea and coffee options. They supplied alternative milk options too. The shower in my room was so powerful and had the big 3 available shampoo, conditioner and body wash pump bottles. The owners were really easily contactable and accommodating. I highly recommend this beautiful retreat.
Really good value. Owner Darren welcomed us and guides our motorcycles into secure parking. Rooms clean, bed comfy, shower great. Outdoor garden where you can just see the sea! Hot tub, sauna, help yourself continental breakfast. Highly recommended, especially motorcycle folk
Had a weekend stay and was upgraded without having to ask. Rooms where clean, comfortable with thermostat for temperature control. Main room was equal to 5 star accommodation with splendid views. Service and staff, most professional and polite attending to every need. Great outdoor jacuzzi tub, adequate sauna. Generally pleased, would definitely visit again and would highly recommend. Thank you Darren and Stella.
If I could give 6 stars I would. The location is out of the hustle and bustle and zoned parking making it easy. The street parking is ok just be sure to follow the owner's direction. Is near to local fast-food restaurants and 2 convenience stores (walking distance). The rooms are reasonably spacious and the beds very comfy. Nice, attached shower and bathroom. There is a breakfast room where you can get drinks 24/7. Breakfast is 8 to 10ish and continental style. Toatser, Microwave in this room. There is a small fridge that is shared with others if needed (label your food using labels supplied!) Nice large, secluded back yard with seating and sauna/hot tub for those inclined (bring own bathing suit of course) Owner is very accommodating and friendly. If I return to Hastings and need a B & B, I will look no further than going here again. Wonderful time.
