I love writing a good review about somewhere we've stayed and it's a pleasure to write one for Usk &Railway Inn! My other half and I have just spent 3 nights in this lovely inn. The room was bright, clean and had a very comfortable bed. The pub was great, with excellent Guinness and a lovely Merlot but most of all was Linda with her amazing breakfasts! I've eaten a lot of breakfasts in my time and I can honestly say Linda's is one if not the best! Dinner was also fabulous so thank you all but especially Linda for such a great stay, be warned we will be back 😊 thank you!
Great welcome and warm, friendly service. Food was excellent (breakfast and dinner) as was the beer. Rooms are on the basic side but comfortable and spotlessly clean - they even provided a fan when the thermometer went through the roof! Great location for exploring this beautiful part of Wales. Will definitely stay again if in the area.
We all enjoyed Sunday lunch yesterday.A nice change to find quality, great tasting food and a reasonable price. Definitely recommend and service also great, keep it up, more places need this standard. Thanks Tracey & Ryan
Nice pub, good size, comfortable and clean rooms. Large comfortable bed. Good location in the town. Breakfast included, we only had cereal but the cooked choice from other guests looked very nice and appears to be cooked fresh to order. Friendly staff.
We stayed overnight at The Usk & Railway Inn on our way through to South West Wales and were super impressed from start to finish. The rooms are finished to a good clean standard, really comfortable, and better than we expected.
The service from everyone was excellent throughout our stay; very friendly, welcoming, and attentive. We ate in the restaurant and had the chicken curry, which was good. The standout dish though was the steak and ale pie, absolutely class! The steak was incredibly tender, very generous in portion size, and packed with top-quality pieces of meat.
There’s also a great selection of beers and spirits available, plus a fantastic beer garden with beautiful views over the hills.
We’d definitely stay again and would highly recommend it to anyone passing through the area.
