The White Buck

Upon booking we informed them it was our wedding anniversary and they decorated the bed and made us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff were amazing. Also we went for bed, breakfast and dinner which was very reasonable and the food was delicious Will definitely not hesitate to return. Bear in mind that this is a dog friendly place which did not bother us but it may not be to everyone's taste.

We stayed at the white buck for a surprise birthday weekend I booked for my partner. What a fantastic weekend it was. From the birthday bunting and balloons on the bed, to the gorgeous food, brilliant service all round, to the lovely level of dog friendliness - including a bowl of biscuits, complimentary dog shampoo and a sausage at breakfast time! Also a wonderful location in the heart of the new forest. We had the junior suite which was fantastic with bath in corner of the bedroom. Quiet and comfortable night. We really hope to visit again one day!

Stayed at the nearby campsite and visited this pub twice. The garden is incredible! During the day they had some lovely music playing and in the evening there was great atmosphere, a couple of guys showed up on horses and there were a few blokes in cricket gear. Everyone was cracking jokes about world war 2. Proper country if you know what I mean? Fish and chips were top notch, especially the triple cooked chips and the other food that came to the table looked great too! Beer selection was good - the classics. And the staff were very nice. No complaints. Highly recommend.

Good Menu, fantastic selection of indoor and outdoor seating, an ‘everyone’s welcome’ atmosphere and great drinks too. We hung out there for the afternoon and really enjoyed the garden, all the food we ordered was spot on, none of us had any complaints. Staff were welcoming and seemed to have good cohesion. I’ll be back next time I’m in the area!
