We booked for a Sunday lunch for 4 of us (plus a large dog with us!) and when we arrived we were given a very warm welcome. We had been allocated a large round table in a semi private alcove which meant there was plenty of space for us all. The roast beef was exceptionally tender and all of our dishes were very tasty, generous portions too. It was a shame that the pub had run out of the tart tatin but obviously it was a popular dessrt and we were on a late afternoon lunch booking so it didn't detract from a very enjoyable lunch. We'll be sure to visit again. Many thanks to all the staff for their professional and friendly service.
My 3 friends and I had a lovely tasty lunch at the Avon Causeway pub yesterday Saturday 17th October. Our food was delicious and very nicely presented. We were served by 3 different people, but no matter, they were all very courteous, helpful and friendly. It was a very pleasant experience and we enjoyed ourselves and I’m sure we’ll be returning sometime soon. Thank you to everyone.
Stayed for one night on business. Really welcoming reception from staff. Beautiful historic pub which unusually at 8pm when I arrived was practically empty so securing a table was not a problem. Both the evening meal of pie and mash, and a full English breakfast were superb . Rooms were comfortable, and well appointed. Loads of parking . Would definitely stay here again
Great location, just a stone’s throw from the town centre and several beaches. There’s also a children’s play area in the pub’s outdoor beer garden, which was a nice bonus.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming on arrival and throughout our stay.
The food was very good. The breakfast, in particular, was delicious and made with locally sourced ingredients. A special mention goes to the black pudding!
The rooms were comfortable. The only downside was that our room overlooked the beer garden, so we had to keep the windows closed at certain times because of cigarette smoke from people outside.
We recently stayed at the Avon Causeway Hotel for a family trip and had a wonderful experience.
The staff were exceptionally friendly, polite, and accommodating throughout our stay, always happy to help with any requests.
Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed, making for a relaxing stay. The hotel grounds are particularly impressive, with a lovely garden area that is perfect for families to enjoy and unwind.
The location is also excellent, providing easy road access to the New Forest and many of the surrounding towns and villages, making it an ideal base for exploring the area.
Overall, a very enjoyable stay with great hospitality, comfortable accommodation, and a fantastic location. We would happily stay here again.
