Fantastic wine experience, learning about the difference grapes, colour, regions that product the grapes. The tasting and pairing of food and how the wine can taste so different. The host was extremely knowledgeable and passionate. A very delightful experience.

Itinerary
Discover the essence of Bordeaux red wines during an intimate and educational tasting, designed to awaken your senses. Bordeaux is known for its reds, but few grasp all the richness. You will learn to taste like an Ace while exploring the differences between the Left Bank (Structured Sauvignon Cabernet of the Médoc) and the Right Bank (Soft and fruity Merlot of Saint-Émilion). Guided by Cécilia, certified expert, you will taste four carefully chosen wines – single varieties or blends – from family estates in organic or Grands Crus, as well as a mystery glass and a mature wine to discover the ageing Bordeaux. You will understand the impact of grape varieties, terroirs and winemaking choices on aromas and textures. Each wine is accompanied by a delicatessen, in accordance with its flavors. You will leave with a personalized tasting booklet Depending on the season, the tasting takes place in our stone room, private courtyard or cellar. Wines available for sale. We adapt to white lovers! Write to us before booking in Japanese and Korean depending on the day (5 days a week)

Friendly and knowledgeable host, learned so much and had a fantastic experience!
Very intimate location and knowledgable host Great wines
Sun Jua was really informative and super friendly. I felt really welcome. Her knowledge of Bordeaux wines and the region was super impressive. Couldn’t recommend more if you were looking for a relaxed and friendly wine tasting!
Very intimate experience in a small house type of situation. Walkable from our hotel, gracious on the pours and discussion. English was good, conversation was good. Enjoyed!
We very much enjoyed our wine tastings with the knowledgeable Mathilde in an apartment across the Garone River at 25 Av. Thiers, 33100 Bordeaux, France! Only one other couple booked for that time--they from Scotland and we from the US, there with our hostess—made for a delightful, intimate gathering outside on the patio! We shared stories, laughed plenty, ate pieces of meats and cheeses from the charcuterie board and tested six different wines with generous pours, learned more about different wines, their terroirs and how to “taste” wine. Another group came in before we were finished (because we were late…details to follow), and Mathilde sat them in the kitchen, adjacent to the patio and began her teaching with them. She invited us to stay on the patio as long as we wanted. Details as promised: Months prior, we had easily purchased two tickets online for a reserved class, day and time. Per Google Maps, getting to the class via tram would take us 17 minutes from our hotel. The apartment is a 2 ½-block walk from the Stalingrad stop on Ligne C/D. Our hotel was near the Grand Theatre, so we started on Ligne A tram. A few stops later, there was a malfunction with the train, and after 15 minutes of attempting to fix it, the conductor told us all to disembark. What???? We were due to our class in ten minutes. And so, we, like other business people and tourists, walked VERY quickly to the River’s edge, along the Pont de Pierre bridge over the River and to the apartment. While hurrying across the Pont de Pierre, my husband searched (on his phone) for the phone number of the class in our Reservations folder so that we could call the class to let them know of our circumstances.. The number put us through to the owner, Cecilia, who shared that she was out in the vineyard harvesting grapes (how great is that!) but would let Mathilde know. I had suffered an injury to both knees and was trying as hard as I could to keep up with my 6’5” husband’s strides! We arrived, breathlessly panting, and our wonderful hostess/teacher took us right out to the patio, where she had waited for our arrival before starting. All quite adventurous, yet lovely and peaceful! The tram lines worked just fine for our return to the hotel…thank goodness! We highly recommend this in-home wine tasting experience for something more personal, in addition to touring the nearby vineyards of the Bordeaux region!
Cécilia was excellent at explaining everything; from the different wine making regions of Bordeaux to the complexities of each wine we tasted. She personalized the experience based on our preferences! Highly recommend this tour!
The Bordeaux Wine Tasting evening was very intimate and wonderful! Ilona is a fantastic hostess! She is knowledgeable and personable, and she ensured our evening was educational AND fun! Ilona provided very detailed info about the origins, composition, and differences of the wines we tasted. Our tasting was red wines only, which suited our preference perfectly! Ilona made the information she presented easy to understand and made it impossible for us to leave the tasting without buying some of the delicious wines to take home!😋 Thank you, Ilona for a wonderful and fun learning experience!
Excellent explanation of the Bordeaux wine areas, grapes and how to identify different wines. Matilde was very knowledgeable and personable and we learned a lot. We tasted 4 wines and Matilde showed us how to recognise the different grapes, their bouquet, and how they change with aging. Also how they change when drunk with food! I highly recommend it.
This was the greatest experience of my entire life! The immense selection of wine and the incredible knowledge of the host was astounding.
My husband and I had such a fantastic experience at our wine tasting. Ilona was so knowledgeable and she shared so much interesting information in fun ways. We not only enjoyed tasting the wines. We loved learning about them as well. Ilona was friendly, fun and thoughtful. I would highly recommend this activity if you’re in the Bordeaux area of France.
Fantastic! We’ve done many wine tasting and this was one of the best. Our experience was done bilingual (they checked in advance) and it was smooth and even added to our French holiday experience. IIona was knowledgeable about wines and the charcuterie was extremely well paired. Minor point, the charcuterie was all meat and no cheese as per the description, but this did not bother us. Great to learn about the wines of the region without leaving the city. We would recommend to others!
This is your own personal experience with a knowledgeable wine connoisseur. So delightful! Thank you for the wonderful afternoon!
Cecilia was exceptional and flexible with my schedule change. The breadth of knowledge she shares depicts her experience with the French wine county and history. She was able to personalize my Bordeaux wine tasting experience that was memorable!!! Thank you Cecilia and team!!!
We had such a lovely time. Cécilia was so knowledgable and we learned a lot about the wines and the region, her English is brilliant! We tried some wonderful wines which were then paired excellently with some cheeses and meats. We definitely recommend!
Had a great time, we booked this to make the most of our weekend in Bordeaux and tasting wine from the region, and we did exactly that it gave us a good insight into what whines to choose and how to make the most out of the wine we had
Good time, amazing people and great wine. Learned a lot more about wine. Cécilia is passionate about wine and it’s so nice to see. Thank you for teaching us so much more about wine, having a nice chat with us (and introducing us to your really cute cat). Hopefully I can come back again with friends and family for another tasting!
We LOVED our afternoon with Cecilia. More than a wine tasting, we learned so much about the wine varietals of the region and how to 'train your nose.' Cecilia was an impeccable host and if time permitted, we would go back for one of her other courses. Highly recommend.
Mathilde was amazing, sharing her wine tasting insights and even giving us tips for the rest of our time in Bordeaux. This was the best wine tasting I’ve ever been to.
We had a great time in the company of Cécilia, who explained to us in a very playful way the different Bordeaux wines! Thanks to her we came out knowing more about what we liked as a type of wine and how to match them. Thanks again Cécilia for this moment, we recommend!
Superb experience around wine! We had a friendly and informative time during this tasting of four red wines. The interactive approach, with sensory games to refine our perception of aromas, made the experience even more immersive and fun. Our host was perfectly masterful of his subject and knew how to transmit his passion with pedagogy and enthusiasm. Each wine has been presented with clear explanations of its origin, its particularities and its possible pairings. We particularly appreciated the exchanges and the availability of our host to answer all our questions. At the end of the tasting, we were treated to some gourmet pairings that enhanced the wines and concluded this beautiful discovery on an even more tasty note. An enriching experience accessible to all, which we recommend without hesitation! 🍷
Great tasting with Cécilia! We tasted 8 Bordeaux wines, each as good as the other. The food and wine pairings were very interesting. We had a great time and we learned a lot of things! I highly recommend 😃
With a friend, we had the pleasure of participating in a red wine tasting hosted by Cecilia, a passionate professional taster. The tasting took place in a small cellar with an authentic and warm atmosphere. Cécilia took the time to explain each wine with impressive expertise, while making the moment friendly and accessible. We learned a lot about Bordeaux wines while having a pleasant and relaxed time. I highly recommend this activity to all those who want to spend a unique and authentic time around Bordeaux wines. Thank you, Cecilia, for this wonderful experience!
We spent a most pleasant time with Cecilia. The tasting took place in a friendly and interactive atmosphere, making the experience both fun and rewarding. We particularly appreciated the small sensory games offered during the tasting, especially those allowing to identify different scents present in the wines. Cécilia masters her wines perfectly and knows how to present them with passion and pedagogy. His explanations were clear, captivating and adapted to our expectations. She answered all our questions with precision and enthusiasm, which made the exchange all the more interesting. To crown this beautiful discovery, the tasting ended with an assortment of small delicacies perfectly matched to the wines, a detail we particularly appreciated. An experience we highly recommend! 🍷✨
Franchement tip top. Great welcome, pretty atypical setting. And very interesting explanations. Great tasting! I recommend! Thank you.
Tasting really informative. Very pleasant moment in this small basement cellar, with a very friendly oenologist
Cecilia prepared us, with much love, a wine tasting of the area in the cellar that she has in her house. We had a great time!
