What a wonderful experience with Catherine and a small group of fellow travelers who are interested in learning more about Bordeaux wines. Catherine created a friendly and jovial space to really experience -- and understand -- tasting. She provided just the right amount of information about the history, geography and techniques of wine-making in the region. It was super interesting and I'll never experience wine the same way again! A nice selection of bottles is available for purchase on-site. Highly recommend!

Itinerary
Learn the art of tasting and discover the richness of Bordeaux wines: history, appellations, terroirs, grape varieties, blends, classifications, and more! In a friendly atmosphere, learn to taste like a professional. Wine will appear more accessible to you, and your senses will guide you to perceive all the finesse of its aromas. You will taste 6 carefully selected wines: 1 mystery wine, 2 dry whites (left and right bank), 3 reds (mixtures, left and right banks) and 1 soft. The wines come from Grands Crus Classés and family estates in organic farming. Guided by Mathilde and Cécilia, professionals trained at the University of Wine, you will also discover the secrets of food & wine pairings, sometimes unexpected. A tasting booklet will be given to you to continue practicing at home. Depending on the season, the tasting takes place in a private courtyard, cellar or in a converted room. The wines tasted are available for sale. Do you prefer only red or white? Our specialized tastings are made for you!

Informative and friendly. Nice experience
Very special place with a Lovely guide in Aya, learned a lot about new things relating wine and Bordeaux. Would love to go back and take a longer trip
A very good experience, with an excellent guide. Decent portions of wine, but very, very small food tastings. A little rushed at the end, too.
Our guide was gracious and superbly explained different wines produced in the area. But the wines served were not very high quality. And to call the food served aperitif is very misleading. More like samples one receives at the cheese shop.
Aya is highly knowledgeable and taught us so much about wines in the region. It was wonderful experience.
Great experience! The wine expert was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. The mystery wine was a nice element. The other wines were also great as were the pairings. The take home pamphlet/wine guide is very useful and informative. I enjoyed the fact that it was a small group and that I got a chance to share this experience with great people. I would really recommend this activity.
Excellent intro to wine tasting and the wines were all very good. Interesting venue and the sommelier was great.
Cecilia was very knowledgeable and taught us so much about Bordeaux wines! I have never tried so many different kinds of wines with such varied flavors. She obviously enjoys giving this tasting.
Aya is an excellent host. She's very knowledgeable about Bordeaux wine and elevates this experience. The setting is intimate and welcoming. The wines and the education about them were both enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour.
Very informative and delicious selection of different wines
Incredible experience, the guide was very prepared and professional, the experience was so interesting and for sure I will come back!
Amazing knowledge, great experience would definitely recommend
We booked this for our final day in Bordeaux— it was convenient and a lovely way to spend a few hours of the afternoon! Our wine guide was Aya, who studied at University of Bordeaux for wine business. She was knowledgeable and insightful — even as we had been on Chateau tours, we learned a lot from her. The tastings were complemented by a simple, but elegant charcuterie to experience the wine with different flavors and food pairings. And we sat on an outside patio that was so lovely!! When we come back, we would absolutely book the “I love my 2cv” small car tour to nearby Chateaus.
We had a very informative and enjoyable time learning about and tasting the Bordeaux wines. Our host was very nice and knowledgeable about wines.
Highly recommend this unique wine tasting experience!! Cecilia was our first stop in Bordeaux to learn about the wines and terroirs of Bordeaux. We tasted many wines in her enchanted private garden and feel much more educated about the wines we will be tasting during our week in Bordeaux/Saint Emilion. She is very knowledgeable and talented about the chateaus of Bordeaux. Thank you Cecilia for a beautiful start to our week of wine tasting 🥰🍷❤️🙏
Very interesting and enjoyable experience. Cecilia was very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
Cecilia was a charming host and welcomed us into her "wine boudoir", she was informative and clear in her introductions and she helped make sense of the differences between the Bordeaux wine regions. Upon reflection, booking a wine tasting at 10.00 am was maybe not the best idea (!) but a visit to Madame Fromagerie afterwards helped to balance the alcohol intake.
Excellent overview of local wines
Wonderful experience! Cecelia is incredibly knowledgeable and Taylor’s based on experience and tastes. Learned so much and shared fantastic wine. Highly recommend!!
Excellent wine tasting in a lively garden setting. A wonderful review of wine in the Bordeaux region. Learned some new things, enjoyed the wine and company, and gained a deeper understanding of the wine in this tegion.
We booked with less than 24h notice when we found the tasting and went with it for the good reviews. We're very glad we did! As it turned out, we were the only booking for that session so had a private 90 minute tasting! Cecilia was welcoming, friendly, and very informative. We had our 16 month old son sleeping in a buggy for the tasting and he was accommodated in the tasting room. We went through the tasting, trying several wines along with snacks to complement them. We learnt about the region, grape varieties, growing conditions, maturation and the process of manufacture. We’ve had an interest in wine for years since completing wine tastings on our honeymoon, and it was great to expand on our knowledge and palette. When we return to the area we will definitely come back for the full vineyard tour! Thoroughly enjoyed and very much recommended.
It was the first time for me to attend a wine workshop in Japanese, therefore it really helped me to understand better what I had learned earlier in English.
A fantastic experience. Very quiet garden setting, we were so lucky with lovely weather. The host was enthusiastic, and very knowledgable. She was able to put guests at ease and ensured we were comfortable contributing to discussions. We tasted several wines, whites, reds, and a dessert wine. Each tasting was talked through, with just the right amount of detail. We were not rushed at all, and finishing with food pairings was a lovely bonus!
Very educational wine tasting that advised on how to taste wine including foods that can influence your tasting. The tasting was also informative on the various wines in the Bordeaux area.
Aya was a great guide, with a lot of knowledge about wines, Burdeaux region, soils and it's so interesting learn of from her. I recommend it a lot! It was a pleasure!
Aya was amazing so knowledgeable on all the different kinds of wines and was an absolute delight! I would recommend her to anyone who would like a more intimate experience.
Wine tasting with Fleur was an incredible experience. The location was charming and quaint, the wines were exceptional, and we learned so much in a relatively short time. Fleur (our guide) was so friendly and knowledgeable - do this if you get the chance!
Really enjoyed our wine tasting experience. Our host Fleur was very welcoming & shared her knowledge in a friendly & engaging way. The duration was perfect too, easily fitted in to a short city break!
Very informative, but also fun and delicious!
This was such a lovely way to spend a few hours. I loved the venue (a small courtyard). Our host was super knowledgeable and the wine was delicious (there was zero pressure to buy, but we did…. ☺️)
Very relaxing and a fun thing to do. Catherine is very good at explaining everything about the Bordeaux wine area. The wines we tasted were a great starting point if you want to know more about wines of Bordeaux
Cecelia was a wonderful host and educator! I would recommend this 100% for people with all levels of knowledge and interest in wine. The wine and food pairing was delightful. We were a group of four: grandma, parents and daughter. Total enjoyment for all and we would definitely do this again.
Fleur was outstanding and great person to do the wine experience . She made it fun and enjoyable! She is absolutely great and would recommend to have it with her . Speaks also other languages for those they can speak French . Love that the tour was intimate and only with my family
Sylvie was an amazing guide ! She provided non-stop insight on the ride to / from Margaux. Selection of wines was intriguing although would have been good to have an option to enjoy additional wines at either winery (but timing at each location was ideal)
We were looking for a wine tasting experience that felt more personal and intimate for our group of four, and Aya delivered exactly that. Located just over the bridge from central Bordeaux, this hidden gem was the perfect setting for a relaxed and enjoyable afternoon. Over two wonderful hours, we tasted some fantastic wines, learned more about the region, and enjoyed great conversation with Aya, whose warmth and knowledge made the experience truly special. As it was a beautifully hot day, Aya kindly moved our tasting to the charming outdoor courtyard, which made the experience even more memorable. Sitting outside, surrounded by the peaceful setting, sipping excellent wines, felt like a little slice of heaven. We enjoyed the wines so much that we brought a few bottles back to our apartment to continue enjoying them during our stay. If you're looking for a welcoming, authentic, and personal wine tasting experience in Bordeaux, we couldn't recommend Aya more highly.
Lovely experience, learnt a lot.
Our host, Fler, was very knowledgeable and made the entire experience really fun and informative! The wine was delicious, well paired, and we learned a lot about region. It was an intimate setting which we really enjoyed.
Sunwha was incredible- this was a great tasting, delicious wine, food and learnt lots. 10/10 would recommend
Plenty of wine was served throughout the tasting, especially compared to some other wine experiences I’ve attended. The host was friendly, welcoming, and did a great job encouraging interaction among the guests, which made the event feel relaxed and engaging. Overall, I would definitely recommend this tasting to anyone looking for a low-key introduction to Bordeaux wines. It was informative, enjoyable, and offered excellent value for the amount of wine provided.
The wine tasting was really interesting & fun! Aya was a great host & gave us loads of interesting facts and even showed us how to pair the wine we tasted with food that it went really well with. It was an intimate relaxed setting with only 5 people in our tasting. I would really recommend it! We learnt a lot about wine making in Bordeaux and the wine we tasted was delicious!
Aya was so lovely, incredibly knowledgeable and kind. We had a great experience with her tasting! I would encourage anyone who wants to try a variety of delicious wines and food to join for an afternoon.
Sunhwa was absolutely wonderful! She is so lovely and so knowledgeable. I have been to many wine tastings; however, I learned the most from her. Don’t miss it! 🩷
If you want an interactive and informative wine tasting, this is what you want to book. It was inside a residential or small building, truly a hidden gem. I was welcomed by Catherine with a warm smile. We were a group of six and it felt vey cozy. We tried 6 wines and pairing with 4 food sample. Catherine explained well the overview of the bordeaux regional wines the terroir and the process of the wine making industry. She let you feel the wine by your own senses, smell and taste of the aromas each wine has, it felt like you're back in school days and having recitation but in a fun way and no wrong answers. What I found very interesting with this mini workshop is the importance of why Bordeaux wines are a blend of 2 to 3 grape variety. Catherine not only verbally answered it why but we ourselves were the one who felt and tasted it with our own nose and mouth. I will forever remember that moment. One of my first Bordeaux highlights! Also she opened our eyes to lesser known type of French wines that are produced in Bordeaux, we have the Claret, orange rose and Sauterne (I loved Sauterne my sweet tooth is very happy to taste it) and I did'nt hesitate to buy a bottle to share at home. Merci beaucop!
Aya was really informative and super friendly. My dad and I really enjoyed the experience and we learnt a lot about Bordeaux wines! Highly recommend this experience!!
Our trio greatly enjoyed this unpretentious wine tasting with Sun Hwa as our educator. This was the first wine tasting where I REALLY learned and we had a great time.
Very informative and interactive. You will learn things. Host was charming and knowledgeable. Wine was good.
First, Aya was great and very professional. Now for the disappointing stuff. This was nothing like the pictures. It was through a door with no signage through a long hallway past the garbage cans and to very weird and Dangerous, steep stairs to a musty dark cellar. The basement smell was so strong it was difficult to smell the wines. Also when I booked I let them know there was a vegetarian and a vegan so the charcuterie board wouldn't work. I had gotten a reply that they got the message but when we arrived they were surprised and came up with 2 small pieces of chocolate each. This wasn't really a charcuterie board but 3 shaved pieces of 2 different sausages and 3 tomme and 3 blue cheeses about a centimeter squared. The boss lady kept coming down the stairs glaring at us and whispering to our presenter. The wines were mediocre. Overall not worth the money.
Fleur made this experience amazing from the get-go. Our favorite event in Bordeaux. We learned a lot about wine and pairings and would recommend to anyone visiting.
The time spent with our guide, Sunhwa, was very informative. She did a very good job explaining and helping us understand the different wines offered during the tour. We left better prepared to enjoy our next glass of wine during our dinner which was not long after our meeting. It was well worth it.
