We had a gourmet tour at La Croizille. We first started with a tour with Isabella (friendly and professional, the toor itself was quite informative), then proceeded to tasting of several different wines and finished with a cheese and charcuterie platter with great views. Definitely recommended! We had a great time.
Okay so, the tasting itself cost little to nothing. I believe 16€ for 2 persons. We booked a tasting in English as our French is not the best. The person serving our tasting was nice, but as we booked in English we did expect better explanations about the vineyard, how the wines are made, the wines itself etc. in English. We got to taste 3 different wines, which for us were way to expensive for how they tasted. When we asked wether it was possible to order wine online it was possible but in the shop you would have a special discount. Now we see that the we bought are half the price online, rude. Anyway, if you’re just here to taste wine and buy some for at home I advice you to skip this one.
Our favourite tour and tasting of the weekend. Our guide was excellent and showed us around both vineyards before having a tasting with cheese and charcuterie pairing. Easy to book online and one of very few vineyards that seem to be open for tours/tastings on a Sunday. We enjoyed all the wines and were pleasantly surprised to be offered a further 3 tastings with the pairing. The cheese and charcuterie was plentiful, very nice and we struggled to finish it all (rare for us!). Great views over the vineyards made it a perfect setting for the tasting. We brought 2 cases of wine between us and enjoyed it so much we have booked to return with different friends at the end of August. Highly recommended.
Wonderful couple of hours in the company of our guide Leia. She was amazing. Confident, articulate in English! Very informative and good fun! Great to see the traditional and modern chateaux alongside each other and the bar option enjoying a platter of meats and cheeses on the terrace overlooking the vineyard alongside 3 further tastings of wine was delightful. Would thoroughly recommend a visit!
Firstly I should say I’m not really a wine drinker! However, I’m interested in the history of the region and the culture and rules around wine making. The opportunity to see two types of Chateux made for a really interesting tour. Unlike some other reviewers, I loved the modern architecture of Chateau La Croizille and the modern approach to such a traditional process. They haven’t turned me into a wine drinker, but I did enjoy the tasting experience!
The visit is very interesting and the explanations very clear. We loved it, the view of the vineyards was beautiful!
Our Guide was very friendly and gave us a lot of interesting information. The visit itself, the wine tasting was really worth the Award!
Wow! Smiling and friendly welcome, fascinating visit, atypical place, and complete and fun wine explanations. Tasting magnificent wines in a rare place. To do absolutely. In addition, the "gourmet" version of the tasting is a real plus, with a board that is worth the detour.
The tour was very pleasant with beautiful scenery, the guide was sociable and professional, and the tastings were excellent.
bonne dégustation avec la possibilité de goûter 6 vins différents grâce à la formule plateau fromages, charcuteries.
Exciting tour of the family’s two castles with very clear explanations on wine making and an adorable guide gladly answering questions. Wine bar option to take absolutely: 3 glasses of wine with a delicious charcuterie board and cheeses, to be enjoyed comfortably installed on a terrace overlooking the valley and a landscape of vineyards typical of the region.
Nice experience on a beautiful domain. Good guide in ENG & FR, told very smoothly and pleasantly. Correct & interesting explanation during wine tasting.
We had a great time with the visit of the vineyards and the tasting at the Château de la Croizille. The guide was very knowledgeable, passionate, and answered all our questions. We were able to learn a lot about manufacturing, different varieties, bottling etc... I would highly recommend this moment to make a couple, with family or friends!
A tasting board to share with the discovery of original wines. Then an interesting visit led by Mathieu who is very kind!! Then discover 3 wines. The smile the sun the vines and their history. Everything is there to have a good time.
Chain visit, impersonal! It feels like a carnival attraction, one group chased the other! Tasting standing in the reception room! Zero usability!
We first visited the two castles with the explanations of our Guide Elisa, who knew how to make us discover the difference between the two castles, bring us his oenological knowledge and share his passion for these beautiful vineyards. We then tasted three types of wine and finally shared a moment around a charcuterie/cheese board with wine tasting. Thank you for this lovely experience.
