Saint-émilion & Pomerol Wine Tour: Tastings, Lunch & Wset Guide

Dante was a wonderful guide. Had a very enjoyable day and lunch. We tasted wine at 3 places.

Full day of tour and tasting. One wine shop and two chateau with great lunch. Good example of wines in the region. Dante our guide did an excellent job Highly recommend.

We spent the day with Dante who is a sommelier. We did 3 different tastings - all great choices. Hearty lunch @ our 2nd tasting was provided. It was very organized & we learned a lot. Pick up in Bordeaux was prompt. Enjoyed every minute of this 6 hr experience.

Fabulous day visiting chateaus in Pomerol & Saint-Emillion. Dante was an absolutely wonderful guide, from pick up to drop off. Very knowledgeable & very passionate about his subject matter, whilst also being very personable. Can't recommend him enough!! We had a wonderful experience at the two chateaus we visited; blind tasting in the dark in Pomerol & a fabulous picnic lunch in the sun at Saint-Emillion with time to visit the village too. Can't rate this trip highly enough, c'est magnifique!!!

The biggest surprise is how extraordinarily beautiful the village of Saint Emillion with with its 11th-century church that will shock with the size and splendor for such a small area

This was a great tour and Yez did a great job getting us to our locations. He was very knowledgeable and shared so much about the history of each location. Saint Emilion was fabulous! And he found a solution to get us down to the center of town due to the fact we had someone in our group that used a walker. He was very patient and accommodating making it a good experience.

If you are visiting the region, booking this St.-Emilion & Pomerol wine tour is an absolute must. From start to finish, the entire experience was flawless. Our guide, Paola, was hands down one of the highlights of our trip. Her knowledge of the region and the intricacies of the winemaking process in both St.-Emilion and Pomerol is truly impressive. She didn't just walk us through tastings, she shared fascinating insights that gave our group a much deeper appreciation for the wines and the heritage of the area. Beyond her expertise, Paola is incredibly warm, attentive, and caring. She went above and beyond to make sure every single person in our group had a comfortable, personalized, and seamless experience. You can tell she genuine loves what she does and cares deeply about her guests.

A very informative tour on the wines of the regions. The wine tastings were also extremely informative and fun. Loved the tour of Saint Emillion and the lunch at the winery was so very nice. Our guide was top notch!! Highly recommend.

Not sure if our guide was WSET? She was very nice but didn’t share alot of wine knowledge. She drive us to each location and dropped us off. Didn’t spend much time with us.

3 different wine tastings in one tour, expert tour guide named Yev and Olga at Chateau Rol valentine were amazing. They’re both very knowledgeable as well as Chateau chambrun was also very charming. Great experience, great wines and highly recommended.

Great tour. Our guide Yev(sp?) was, friendly, funny, and extremely knowledgeable. We received a healthy amount of wine knowledge and wine tastings. The lunch was delicious. We were extremely satisfied with the excursion and highly recommended it!!

What a day! Danté our guide was superb from start to finish. Being a WSET Certified Wine Expert his breadth of knowledge on the history of the area and its wine making was exceptional. From pick up to set down he spoke with enthusiasm and love of the area and it’s wine production . Any question was answered in depth and his enthusiasm on the topic was infectious. I could not recommend this tour enough and if possible ask for Danté as your guide! Santé

If they do not get enough people for the trip, they may cancel your trip and not tell you. We were at the pick-up on plenty of time and when they turned up, they took 6 other passengers but said our trip was cancelled. They said Viator had cancelled the trip. Viator confirmed the trip had been cancelled by the service provider. I recommend Bordeaux So You - they are excellent and better value for money.

What an amazing day we had. And along the drive Paolo enlightened us with history and knowledge of the grape growing and vineyards of Bordeaux. We had three tasting and visited two Chateaux’s. As it was harvest time we got to pick and taste a couple of different grapes. This was a highlight for me.

This was an excellent trip. From start to finish . We were picked up in Bordeaux centre and went first to the beautiful village of St Emillion. It is extrenely beautiful and we had our first wine tasting in one of the shops. Very nicely organised, Onto the second venue where we enjoyed a nice lunch and saw the grapes being harvested and pressed. Our third venue was a beautiful chateau that was a perfect end to the trip,. Our guide was Clement and he was feiendly and informative throughout the trip. A group of 8 had a thoroughly brilliant day out , highly recommended.

We highly recommend this tour. We liked everything about it. Our driver and tour operator, Paola, was pleasant, informative and very helpful throughout the journey. The picnic was very scenic and the chateaus we visited were top notch. The van was spacious and secure. Would definitely do it again.

Our tour of the right bank in Bordeaux was led by Paola. We began in the town of St. Emilion which was beautiful and not to be missed. We received an overview of the Bordeaux region from Paola on our drive to St Emilion and further detail from one of the wine estate owners who is also a wine shop proprietor. After we had time to explore the town, we then toured a winery in the region, walking in the vineyard, tasting merlot grapes and seeing the entire vinification process. We enjoyed a tasting and then a wonderful picnic lunch that Paola prepared. Finally we headed to an estate in Pomerol which was magnificent. I felt that our day covered everything I had hoped to experience for the right bank - tremendous knowledge, on tasting of a wide range of wines, time to enjoy the beautiful town of St Emilion, and an up close interaction with the winemakers and their wines, especially in Pomerol. We had a kind and knowledgeable guide, too. Highly recommend!

Paola was amazing; she gave us a wonderful tour of the wineries and shared a lot of interesting history of the region and winemaking. It was a great way to spend the day exploring Saint-Emilion and Pomerol. We highly recommend this tour!

Our tour guide Dante ensured we had the most wonderful day wine tasting & exploring this beautiful part of France. As someone with only basic knowledge of wine production, it was fascinating to learn more about the many nuances during the production process. We got the opportunity to taste many varieties of wine and our charcuterie lunch was delightful. Thank you so much Dante, we thoroughly enjoyed this experience

Yev was a masterful guide- extremely amicable, an a knowledge of wine (and spirits) that was second to none. Beautiful locales, absolutely incredible wines and wineries, and a lovely lunch. THIS I will do again!

Yev was a SUPERB guide, better than many I’ve had. Extremely knowledgeable of wine, wine and area history, and details of production. Beautiful region, wonderful wines, and a lot more involved than the tour description. A sampling of at least 18 different wines, and a wonderful countryside lunch. Best tour in ages

This tour surpassed our expectations, largely in part to our guide, Yev. The tour was informative, comical, and provided stories that our group won’t soon forget. I can’t recommend this tour enough, especially with Yev as a guide.

Yev was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and interactive throughout the day. Helped us understand the wine growing & tasting while also teaching us about some of France’s history. I would recommend him and this tour to anyone visiting the area!

Outstanding tour. Our guide, Dante was fantastic with his comprehensive knowledge of the wine business, its history and wine making in detail. He also communicated clearly and in understandable terms. Bravo Dante. We started in a wine shop in St. Emilion tasting six wines coming from wineries located within a 4 mile radius. The differences were startling. Then on to a Chateau with more tasting and a lunch al fresco and more wine. Lastly, we went to a Chateau in Pomerol to finish the day. All in all one of the best tours ever. Recommend highly.

Wonderful tour with a knowledgeable, interesting, and very fun tour guide. Dante took us to three vineyards where we enjoyed tasting numerous wines, as well as taking us on a walking tour of Saint Emilian and finishing with a gourmet cheese and wine lunch picnic. I highly recommend this tour.

We had a wonderful day outside of Bordeaux with Dante. He was prompt on the pickup, nice vehicle accommodating 6 pax comfortably. The day could not have been more perfect. His knowledge of the wine industry was amazing. We had time to browse in Saint-Emilion a bit, but the star of the show was the three wineries we visited, including a lovely picnic lunch at one. We got a great overview of the different wines from the area. I would highly recommend this tour.

This experience was as great as it was because of our guide, Yev! He was so incredibly organized, knowledgeable, and hilarious. The whole day went smoothly because of him. We learned so much and had a great time. HIGHLY recommend Yev!

Dante proved to be an exceptional tour guide, demonstrating comprehensive regional expertise. Our experience included several delightful tastings, starting in St. Emilion and continuing at two distinct Châteaux. The provided lunch was both substantial and expertly prepared. There was an absence of pushy sales approaches at all venues. Nevertheless, a wide array of wine was available for purchase across various price points at each location.
