I love Viator as you get to meet such lovely and knowledgeable experts like Adrian. We spent a good half hour touring the old part of Bordeaux and then around an hour tasting wine, while Adrian explain the finer points of the region, the grapes, how to match wine with food. Thoroughly recommend the tour, lovely guide, took the time to answer our questions fully and point out places we should visit. 👍🏻🍷

Enjoyed our walking tour with Pascale and discovered some lovely streets/areas we might not otherwise have visited. The wine & cheese tasting was delicious - so much so that we went back the next night for dinner! Would recommend this for a casual, fun and informative way to spend a few hours exploring beautiful Bordeaux
A lovely, easy walk with History, culture and more from the gorgeous Pascale. Followed by an interesting and informative wine and cheese experience no-one should miss in Bordeaux. Highly recommended.
Ani was our fun guide. He is very knowledgeable on the history of Bordeaux, and as a sommelier, he took us on a wonderful walk while explaining the wine regions, the grapes grown in this region, and much more. We ended with a wine and cheese tasting, putting into practice our new found knowledge. Ani has a fantastic sense of humour and a wicked smile! We highly recommend this tour if you find yourself in the region. Thank you, Ani!
A wonderful leisurely stroll through downtown Bordeaux and then hour long wine tasting with interesting and informative guide. Highly recommend!
We took a day trip from Paris to Bordeaux for the Wine and Cheese Tasting walking tour, and we were so glad we did! We met Ani several minutes early at the designated meeting point and went from there. Ani is very knowledgeable on the history of Bordeaux, mixing tales of the past with the history and science of wine, doing it all with a fantastic sense of humor! He has developed some great learning aides to teach but in a very accessible manner. We highly recommend this tour if you find yourself in the region. Thank you Ani!
Great tour with Pascale. She was knowledgeable about history and wine. We had a great time. Highly recommend for the first time in Bordeaux.
I had an incredible experience on the historic guided walking tour and wine tasting session in Bordeaux! The guide was knowledgeable and passionate, bringing the city’s rich history and stunning architecture to life. The walking tour was the perfect mix of culture and charm, with plenty of fascinating stories about Bordeaux’s past. The wine tasting was equally exceptional, showcasing some of the region’s finest vintages. It was a perfect blend of history, scenery, and indulgence. Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Bordeaux!
Ani was a great tour guide, knowledgeable and entertaining. We all really enjoyed the walking tour and the tasting.
Adrian hosted a very good wine tasting afternoon, me and my partner very much enjoyed and the wine and cheese was perfect. He also had great knowledge of the area ! Thank you for an enjoyable experience :)
Ani was an excellent host, professional, entertaining and knows his wine. The tour was very informative, we learnt a lot and I may now be a convert to red wine from Bordeaux. Tour highly recommended if you have a couple of hours to spare.
Did a trip with Ani as our host, although it was raining the tour was absolutely pleasant. Ani obviously knows what he's talking about and shares his compassion with joy and in a funny way. Highly recommended!
Very enjoyable experience. We were lucky enough to have Ani as a guide, he was professional, fun and knowledgeable. Fun facts on the walk and in depth wine tasting with exceptional cheese.
Interesting and informative tour. Clem was really nice and had a lot of knowledge of the city and the Bordeaux wine. Would recommend to use her as your guide.
Very professional tour with lots of interesting information and good wines! A nice little walk in the city with some information about the city's wine related history, and then finished with a tasting where we got to know how to distinguish between different types of grapes, regions and vintages.
I travelled into France for work, being a wine lover I decided I wanted to learn some more about Bordeaux being the wine capital of the world, I’m quiet an introverted person and didn’t want to just see a vineyard. This tour offered a more niche approach to your typical wine tour, I had the pleasure of having Adrian as my tour guide and was accompanied by a lovely American couple. Started of in a very convenient location (easy to find as Adrian was holding a bright blue umbrella) he then allowed some time for the others to join, we then set off to three locations which took around 45 minutes where he explained the history of how Bordeaux became the wine capital of the world, after we finished the walking part of the tour he treated us to a local delegacy ‘ Chouamoure’ some sort of vanilla filled pastry (to die for) and then we moved onto the wine tasting. It consisted of 4 different wines, all of which were a different variety and each one paired with a different cheese, throughout the tasting session he would give us an insight about the wine itself. Very informative and knowledgeable, post the tour he sent me some recommendations to cater for a solo traveller. Concluding, thank you Adrian for a very small group you made it seem less and showed us your local knowledge and expertise of wine, I’ve walked away from this feeling more knowledgeable and made me want to return to Bordeaux as I feel I have more to see now.
We did the Bordeaux cheese and wine tasting tour with Clem and it was such a great and informative experience. We started off with a walking tour, where we learnt about the history of wine making in Bordeaux, followed by a tasting at a local wine shop. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who stays in Bordeaux. Thank you Clem for going above and beyond with your tour, and making it a very memorable experience.
We did two tours in Bordeaux but the quality of the tour guide was disappointing and I would not recommend.
Clemence was truly outstanding. Great knowledge of Bordeaux- the city and the wine. The two and a half hours flew- and the wine and cheese session at a lovely wine bar was excellent. Great afternoon.
Great way to spend the afternoon. Our Irish guide was knowledgable and made the tour interesting and fun. Delicious wine and cheese at the end of the tour in a very nice wine bar with an interesting dispenser which allowed you to select and taste about 30 wines from every region of France and beyond. Highly recommended.
An informal but informative tour with a short walk around the area before adjourning to a great wine bar for tasting. We had 4 wines paired with cheese - a white, 2 reds and a sweet one. Our guide Chaz the Irishman was good and made an excellent teacher. My only disappointment was there was 11 ( and should have been 13), way in excess of the promised 8.
Was not expecting this gem of a tour. Very professional well educated guide. He was patient and made the tasting interesting and enjoyable. I can recommend without hesitation.
Cas was a great instructor. He was very knowledgeable about the area and about the different wines of the area. He made the learning aspect very enjoyable and I can’t wait To go home and show my friends what I learned!
Great tour, very informative and the wine bar was very cool. So many options! Definitely would recommend to other travelers.
Caz brought us on an interesting tour around Bordeaux, explaining the history of the city and wine. It was fascinating! The tasting session was engaging and fun, loved it.
Friendly people in the group, including our host who was very informative. The walking tour was interesting and progressed through nicely but the wine tasting was the standout. Great insight into wine in the region.
We had an informative and educational tour with Clem. She gave us a history of the wine industry in Bordeaux and then provided a wine and cheese tasting and pairing. Clem was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and entertaining. We highly recommend this tour!
Nice walking tour about everything Bordeaux wine related. The cheese pairings with the wines was incredible.
Clem was an excellent guide, made the whole experience great fun. The wine tasting was enjoyable and informative. Gouda cheese coupled with the st million was a treat
Adrian our guide was very knowledgeable and good fun. Enjoyed both the walking tour and wine tasting. Definitely recommend.
Ani and Sean had lots of knowledge to share. I learned a lot about the different kinds of wine grown in the Bordeaux region and was happy to support their vision of sharing wines made by women vintners. A beautiful way to pass the afternoon.
Cas was a great host: very knowledgeable and able to address the interests of both knowledgeable wine consumers and novice wine consumers. This is a great tour for folks who do not have a lot of time in Bordeaux or as a prelude to an all day winery tour in the region.
This was a great tour around Bordeaux’s wine area and is very handy if your time is limited in Bordeaux. Our guide Caz was very knowledgeable on the local area and its wines. Finished off with a great tasting session.
Was so amazing! Made our trip! We only were in bordeaux for a day so Ani went out of his way to show us the whole city and extended the tour an hour! It was so interactive and interesting. The wine was amazing and pours were soooo generous! Came with a generous amount of cheese, meat, and bread to pair the wines with. Ended up only being us on tour so it was private. Ani was a great teacher and taught us so much about the city and the city wine!
It was a dreary day, but Caz showed us around the Chartron streets with interesting facts and capped it with an insightful tasting and a delightful venue. He was friendly and helpful!
A really enjoyable tour with some lovely sights of Bordeaux and ending in wine and cheese (included in the price) . Our guide was very informative and shared his extensive knowledge with us. The tour was expected to take a specific route including La Cité du Vin, Pont Jacques Chaban Delmas and Pont de Pierre, however none of these significant locations were visited and for the price per person of this tour, this was disappointing.
Caz was a great guide for the wine walking tour. This was a walking tour specific to learning about wines in the Bordeaux region with a tasting at the end. We had a great day out and enjoyed learning about Bordeaux wines. At the end we tasted two white wines and two red wines with three types of cheese and bread, these were all lovely wines! We would recommend this tour.
Extremely knowledgeable guide, very fun tour! Learned some history and a surprisingly comprehensive guide to wine.
Extremely educational, fun and delicious experience! Highly recommend when you are visiting Bordeaux.
Great tour! Caz was knowledgeable, informative and interesting. We enjoyed ourselves and learned quite a bit about the area and Bordeaux wines!
We had a fantastic time trying wines and cheeses of Bordeaux! Our guide Ani was very knowledgeable and provided a great tasting.
Very enjoyable tour with Ani. He was very entertaining and informative. Had a great time in spite of the rain.
The walking tour was modified as I was the only one signed up. I was offered a blind wine tasting which was fantastic. Shawn was incredibly knowledgeable and very pleasant. He guided me through some of the wines of Bordeaux. Fantastic!
Very fine initial overview of wines from the region paired with the tasting for the second half of the tour. Walking was much less than we expected—perhaps 4 city blocks—and the four tastings and pairings with cheese were more than expected. Great explanations of how wines get labeled/categorized, helpful color tip sheets to orient one to color and flavors, and a nice break down of what to pay attention to in a tasting and pairing. Our guide, Caz, was knowledgeable, generous with his experience and offered serious answers to every question in our group.
Fun and informative tour - comprehensive coverage of the Bordeaux wine region. Caz was a great and charismatic guide!
My wife actually said at dinner it was the best walking tour she has been on. Clem was amazing, friendly, enthusiastic, very knowledgeable and she ensured everybody was engagaed. The tour wasn’t a long walk around monuments it was a tour around the history of wine in Bordeaux. Cheese is a bit of a nice to have - wine is the centre. Loved it.
Went on this tour to learn more about the Bordeaux wine region and it did not disappoint. Thanks for a great tour!
It was a really useful trip about wine history! We actually learned a lot from that. Out tour guide was really nice, friendly, and he has a big knowledge for sure! We would recommend the tour for our family.
CLEM was an excellent guide, she was knowledgeable about history, wine, cheese, vineyards etc. Uld recommend
Worthwhile tour with Caz. Learned the wine regions and grape varieties in Bordeaux and had a fun tasting with some amazing cheeses. The walking tour was not too far and a good mix of moving with a little local knowledge.
