Great way to see the beautiful city. The guides were knowledgeable and shared their knowledge accommodating English visitors as well. The wine was good and canele was a great touch. Would highly recommend.

Seen from the river on Matmut Atlantic Stadium.
The square is composed of an esplanade descending gently towards the Garonne and surrounded by planted walks. There are the monumental statues of Montaigne and Montesquieu by sculptor Dominique Fortuné Maggesi in white marble, which were placed there in 1858.
The Aquitaine Bridge is a suspension bridge located on the Bordeaux ring road, in the Gironde department and the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. It connects the towns of Lormont and Bordeaux over the Garonne. The bridge was completed in 1967 and has a span of 394 m for a length of 1,767 m. It is the last bridge over the Garonne before its estuary, the Gironde, and the Atlantic Ocean.
The original gate was located in the 14th century rampart. It was replaced by the current monument, built closer to the Garonne.

A fantastic experience, wonderful tour guide and saw the city from a different angle! And a great opportunity to have a lovely glass of red on the boat
Very disappointing experience – poor communication and customer service Our boat trip was scheduled for 5 pm in Bordeaux, but due to a protest, the departure location was changed. I completely understand that protests and unexpected circumstances can be beyond a company’s control. However, what is unacceptable is the lack of communication and organisation. There was nobody at the original meeting point to inform customers about the change. I received a phone call from a staff member who spoke very little English, asking whether I had received an email with the new location. I had received absolutely nothing. When I called back, I was told the trip location had been changed because of the protest, leaving me confused and unable to properly understand where I was supposed to go. There was also an elderly couple in the same situation, which made the lack of assistance even more concerning. I understand that the protest was outside the company’s control, but communicating with customers is not. A simple email, a clear phone call, or having a staff member at the original meeting point could have prevented this situation. I am still waiting for my refund. While unexpected circumstances can happen, the way a company handles them says a lot about its customer service. Unfortunately, this experience was extremely frustrating, and I would not recommend this company unless they significantly improve their communication and customer support.
1 1-2 hours of good information and great crew to deliver the message en francais and English. Marie (believe her name) was engaging and great deal of fun.
Such a great way to see the city from a different prospective. Very interesting learning about the Port and how the bridges came to be. Nice and relaxing.
Relaxing calm ride with a fantastic tour guide who gave a lot of information but in an enjoyable way.
We did the evening tour. It was sunny and warm and a beautiful way to experience the city. There is narration in French and English. The guide gave very interesting fact about Bordeaux and its history. You get a free drink with your ticket and there are drinks for sale. The tour was relaxing and enjoyable.
We took this hour and a half boat ride our first day in Bordeaux. It was the perfect thing to do before dinner. You get to see the riverbank and some of the historical sites along the way. It was a beautiful day so we got to sit on the top and enjoy the sunshine! It was great value for the price!
Nice way to see the city that can’t be seen on land. Good guide that was very informative and impressed when switching between languages
There was no proper queuing system at the port so it was a bit of a free for all ! The canele as we went onboard was delicious and the wine was great too. The tour itself was a bit uneventful, the guide was informative but a bit robotic. She spoke between French and English but the switch was so often that I lost touch . It was good value for money but a bit boring
Very fun narrative in French and English.
This was a relaxing experience. It was lovely to be on the water and the tour guide did a great job of explaining all the river sights.
Lovely 90 minutes cruising down the river with a great guide, friendly, informative and fun. Decent glass of wine and treat, good views and a great way to spend some time in Bordeaux from a different view point.
Very relaxing and enjoyable Guide very helpful and informative Best to sit upstairs as views much better
Thoroughly enjoyed this cruise on the Garonne river. Very informative and engaging guide. Option to sit up top or under cover below. Had the glass of wine and cannelé which was lovely. Would definitely recommend.
Really good value for money and a great introduction to Bordeaux. Lovely boat and great facilities. Our guide was brilliant, knowledgeable and very fun . Thank you
It was a good late afternoon trip with a guide that was fluent in both French and English. He was knowledgable about the city and skilfully used humour to keep attention.
We had a wonderful and educational tasting. Antoine our host was wonderful! We learned about the region and local food.
The staff try really hard and are all very good at what they do but there just isn’t enough waterfront in Bordeaux to justify a 90 minute boat cruise. Once past the city which doesn’t take long there’s not a great deal to see or look at.
I initially booked this cruise for my first day in Bordeaux. However, after an early start and morning flight, I was feeling very tired, so I contacted the team to ask if it would be possible to change the date and time. They were incredibly kind and accommodating, and happily rearranged my booking. When I came back on the new date, I needed to use the bathroom on board, and I have to say it was the cleanest, most spacious and best-maintained boat toilet I have ever used. It might seem like a small detail, but it really reflected how well the boat is looked after. I also really appreciated how the crew went around to every guest individually to check that everything was okay and to ask if anyone had any questions. That personal touch made the experience feel welcoming and showed that they genuinely cared about their guests. Overall, it was a fantastic experience with excellent customer service from start to finish. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bordeaux.
Great 1.5 hours spent on the river. Very informative and worthwhile. Plenty of sunshine on the roof top or air conditioning downstairs
The French commentary was so loud, it was impossible to listen to the English commentary provided on an App.
Great and informative tour off the river in bordeaux. I learned a lot of history. Also loved that it came with warm canales and a glass of wine! The tour operator was great and the boat driver was great too. You could also purchase more drinks if you wanted. There was seating upstairs (part of it shaded) and downstairs seating with AC as well. People loved around a lot so we were able to get lots of vantage points. Highly recommend
You are told to arrive 30 minutes early to embark which most guests did In the blistering heat to board really 10 minutes before No shade offered. Not good The trip itself a bit underwhelming although we had a very good host robin who kept the energy going in the blistering heat Just think you need to treat guests better at the outset
Excellent informative funny tour Great value for money Savannah was friendly and excellent French to English commentary You get a token for a drink on board including soft drinks, but the bar prices are extremely reasonable as well if you want more drinks, bottle of water €2, glass of wine €4 Takes a hour and half. Shaded and non shaded upstairs area, air conditioned downstairs area with unisex toilet Definitely worth while when in Bordeaux
A lovely way to spend an afternoon in Bourdeaux. The guide was excellant, informative and funny. Arrive early to obtain a seat in the shade. Best to use your drink ticket for a canned drink as the wine was awful.
Great 1.5 hour cruise with wine and snack. It was very hot the day we went, and there is an air-conditioned interior with great views. The host gave good information about the city. Wonderful way to get a view of the old and newer parts of the city from the river.
The English version was good. First, he would do it all in French than English. You got one of the famous cakes they make. the wine so so. Learned a good amount of history from this perspective
Very pleasant trip. Excellent guide.
Very relaxing and you can see things from the river but you can basically see the same things if you're walking
It's a nice activity to do in the area for the price. Great way to see what else Bordeaux has to offer. Couldn't really make out what the guide was saying Nice wine
I would recommend this experience. This boat ride was inexpensive and worthwhile. We learned lots of information and saw the city from the river which was a great perspective. The boat was not too crowded and the staff were friendly.
This was very nice , the wine was delicious and the ride was very good !! Nice boat !! Tour information was good too!!
Enjoyed our trip down the river. The wine was nice. Liked that there was live narration in English.
Very nice and relaxing and informative!
Greeted at meeting point by happy crew members. Boat clean and comfortable. Commentary fun and informative in both French and English. Can’t emphasise enough how great all the crew were . Five Stars not enough.
Robin (presenter) was EXCELLENT…very knowledgeable and engaging with his audience. Well done! It was a very quick and informative way to get some good history on Bordeaux.
hour and half boat trip along river , guide talked too much would have been nice to have a few breaks from talking to just be able to chat and enjoy the ride
Informative and relaxing, easy to get to. For a wine region the wine served was not that great. Guide was good
We enjoyed the trip. Was a very reasonable experience for the price
The commentator was good but the cruise too long and drawn out. One hour would be enough
Very enjoyable trip. Adrian was informative and entertaining. Learned a lot about the city. Nice, generous glass of rosé wine and a cannelé cake. A great experience.
Very relaxing. Informative. Information about the Nazi U boat base would have been nice to hear about as we went by, but it was not part of the script.
Wasn't an hour and a half. One glass of wine was provided but the queue was very long. Perhaps they should have staggered the orders.
Awful, noisy experience due to uncontrolled children with parents who ignored their running , jumping, noise making yells, screams, etc. couldn’t hear the guide. This company should offer “no kids” options for those who want a peaceful experience. Done many of these but never had such an awful, noisy, stressful 90 minute river cruise.
I went on a yacht tour along the Garonne River with SAS Yacht de Bordeaux, and it was a beautiful and relaxing experience. The weather was perfect—sunny with no rain—which made the entire cruise even more enjoyable. The views of Bordeaux from the water were stunning and gave a different perspective of the city. One thing I really appreciated was how accommodating the tour guide was. About half of the group did not speak French, and the guide made sure everyone could follow along and enjoy the experience. The ticket included a glass of regional wine, which was a nice touch and added to the overall atmosphere of the cruise. I booked the experience through the tourism office, and it was included as part of the Bordeaux City Pass, which made it an even better value. Overall, this was a smooth, enjoyable, and scenic experience—definitely worth doing if you’re visiting Bordeaux.
Everything is run very smoothly. The glass of wine that comes with the ticket is very small. It’s a river so the boat is very stable. The skipper and crew and storyteller are all very professional.
Wonderfully relaxing, informative and pleasant experience. Smoothly sailing by Bordeaux and learning a bit more in depth information of its famous history, while sipping a glass of wine is not hard to do. Well narrated, very clean boat and nice employees. Highly recommend. It’s a nice break from the cobbled streets on your feet.
It was enjoyable but perhaps a bit dear for what it is. The tour guide was very helpful and his commentary was relevant and amusing in places. The tour left on time and back dead on time. All in all a reasonable tour.
Beautiful day interesting tour. Just the right amount of time. Ok the wine wasn’t great but I didn’t expect it to be
