Great tour! Guide Valentine was excellent- really knowledgeable and very informative. Chateau visits were very interesting and not at all pushing for sales which was really refreshing.

Perfect afternoon in Margaux. This is such a lovely area and one that is better with a guide vs DIY. We visited 2 lovely chateaus and stopped for pictures at Chateau Margaux and Chateau Palmer. The small group was ideal and allowed for a personalized experience.
It was very interesting learning about their climate and the differences in soils depending on where the grapes are growing. Both wineries had very knowledgeable tasting room hosts. Very passionate about the wines.
It’s a drive in and out of the area. Be aware if this when booking the trip. Not a bad thing but this part of the Bordeaux area isn’t about the villages. Our guide was very nice and we enjoyed the wines. You will see from the road, the well known Chateau Margaux.
Excellent tour, guide is nice and knowledgeable. Conversation is good throughout the trip, good wine, nice chateau, beautiful scenery. I would recommend for any who wants to visit the chateaus without having to drive yourself.
We visited 2 wine houses in the Margaux region, very good English tour guides and nice wine tastings. Our guide from Olala Bordeaux was Margot - with a t ; she was very enthusiastic and very knowledgeable on wine and the different appellations.
The experience was very good until the end where our guide skipped the food and cheese pairing at the end. A couple of times near the end of the tour the guide wanted us to jump out of the van early as if it was a favor to us. We knew there was supposed to be a wine and cheese pairing because when we met for the start of our tour in the afternoon, the morning tour that started before us had just wrapped their food and wine pairing at the office. Just be mindful for the price you might not get everything that’s in the description. I reached out to the company after the tour and I did not hear back.
We enjoyed the afternoon! Nice scenery as we drove out to the vineyards. The two tastings were very different. While both wineries are family owned, one was very quaint and the other quite modern. The wines and people at both were good and the tours were very informative.
9 people (8 guests) and driver crowded in a Mercedes V van. I sat next to a guy of 100 KG all the way. Terrible experience.
We had a tour and tasting at two wineries, and the wines were very good. Ended up at Chateau Margaux for a quick photo op (not a tasting), but it was good to see the chateau. The highlight of our 1/2 day was our guide, Margot, who was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. She made it a well worth experience.
Really enjoyable and informative tour. Rene was a very good guide. Would thoroughly recommend.
Our guide, Sylvie, was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. The problem was that we had eight adults packed into the van which made it very uncomfortable. the tour should be limited to four or six people.
Enjoyed an afternoon drive through the beautiful countryside west of Bordeaux with our guide Sylvie.Visited 2 Chateaux where the predominant grape variety is Merlot and in St Margaux is blended with Cab. Savignon. Wines were introduced by their enthusiastic hosts and 3 wines tasted at each.
Very informative and friendlly guide, loved hearing the history behind Margaux region. Hand picked chateau’s were wonderful!
Informative, friendly, fun with enjoyable company & great wines
Great knowledge from Antoine. Visited 2 vineyards and the chocolate shop. Really good day out and met a few new friends. Wines were amazing and bought 2 bottles of Margaux. Definitely recommend!
The experience was a great way to experience some wineries. Our tour took us to the left bank area and the two wineries we visited were absolutely stunning and welcoming. The wines were amazing and due to us going in a more off-season the wineries were not too busy. Our tour guide was great too answering any questions and keeping us in a timely manner without being rushed. We learned something new at each winery and they both approached their production in a different manner which was neat to see.
Lovely tastings at both locations. We learned so much about the regions and wine making process. Highly recommend.
Lovely afternoon with guide, Rene. Time and money very well spent! Do it!
It was a great way to reach two excellent vineyards that would have been impossible to reach without a car. Our guides (one was still in training) were informed and personable— and even arranged for us to have great weather!
Excellent tour of several Chateau's and wine tasting and a fantastic guide! The 2 beautiful Chateau's were very well done.
This was a really lovely tour. You lave in a small bus from.Bordeaux and visit several wineries around the region. A great afternoon tour.
Good evening experience to visit to wineries in Margaux and see the behind the scenes of the wine making process.
I contacted Olala Bordeaux because I booked a wine tour in Margaux with a different company. Olala Bordeaux was able to change our tour to Saint Emilion with a very short notice. The meeting point is the best in Bordeaux, they have a very nice office where you could wait for your tour guide. Our tour guide Nicole was amazing, during our trip she explained the area, the differences between the wines in the area. We were very lucky because we were alone and in the winery the person who met us, Muriel, talked in Spanish. We had a wonderful time in this tour. Nicole prepared a table like to seat to have our wine testing. We were offered 4 wines, everything was perfect. We also visited the Saint Emilion town where Nicole explained us the key points includes the famous Saint Emilion macarons that were delicious.
We had Gaspar as our guide. He was clearly knowledgeable about Bordeaux wines. I now know why some Bordeaux wines include Chateau in their names and others from the same vineyard don't (you'll have to take the tour to find out the answer). He was very outgoing and pleasant, and provided significantly to our enjoyment. The two hostesses at the vineyards we visited were very pleasant, gave us a very good explanation of their specific processes and provided great descriptions of their wines. While not an expert by any means, I got the clear impression that the two vineyards selected for this tour were very representative. The wines were all different which made trying them to be an education unto itself. For anyone looking for an excellent wine tour that doesn't take up a full day, I strongly recommend this one.
It was an easy pace, our driver was very engaging. My apologies I forgot his name, but he came from Chile originally. The wines were a fair value, and the surprise orange wine was a nice bonus. Even if it isn’t my cup of tea.
Our guide was very knowledgeable about Margaux and made the experience very interesting. She was very attentive.
Casper was an excellent guide. He has a lot of knowledge and is not shy to talk to you as tourist. Next year we will book the Saint Emillion tour.
I recently joined a Bordeaux winery tour with a friend, and it was an unforgettable experience. The staff were incredibly welcoming and kind, making us feel comfortable from the very start. We enjoyed tasting a variety of excellent wines while also learning about Bordeaux’s rich winemaking traditions. The tour was the perfect balance of fun, education, and hospitality. I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Bordeaux—it’s truly a must-do!
Margaux was great! She had so much knowledge not only about the region we visited but about the whole history of wine production in Bordeaux. The chateau’s were also wonderful with knowledgeable staff and great stories. Wonderful experience even with the 100 degree temps
Our guide was very informative and friendly. Short trip to 2 chateaus. I would like to be offered some little snacks would be a great addition.
Our guide, Xavier, was terrific! He had a deep history of Bordeaux and the wine families, the details of the “rules”…. Very good tour.
Well put together and honoring of the local wine makers history and traditions. Our guide was informative and entertaining. He orchestrated a review as a game in the return trip, even with a prize for all at the end. The wineries chosen and the presenters all had a passion for their vineyards and the wine making process that each one uses. It was an enlightening and enjoyable afternoon.
Would have liked to visit more wineries-we only went to two and the second was just a tasting, not a tour. Our guide was great, however, and provided a lot of information. He also made a special stop to Chateau Margaux for my daughter who is named Margaux.
We enjoyed our half-day visit to the Margaux wine region. The two wineries we visited were lovely and very different from each other. Nichole, our guide, was very friendly and informative. We enjoyed some very nice wines and learned a lot about the Bordeaux region.
Lovely trip to 2 chateaux with wine tastings. Our guide (Davier) was genuinely funny and extremely knowledgeable and both the wineries were really interesting to visit. I would definitely recommend this trip.
Jeremy was a great driver and provided information and made the commute enjoyable. The two wineries were unique from others we've visited in the past.
Our guide Ronnie was excellent and very informative and social. We enjoyed our tastings. GREAT 👍 Would definitely recommend and was worth the money.
Having done both full day trips and half day trips I think doing Margaux in half day is a perfect plan if you don’t have too much time in Bordeaux and want to enjoy the city food scene. The 2pm departure left on time and we were welcome very warmly by Valentin from Oh lala team. We were 4 in total and the transport was clean and comfy. We visited two chateaus one with grand cru appellation. We got offered to try good vintage and even second labels which gives you an idea of how the wine is sold in the region. Very educational and fun. I would do it again next year just to see what they produce next.
Wine tasting is not exactly done like that. You are supposed to change your taste between tastings with bread or cheese or water. This was like we throw wine in the same glass with no intervals. Taste was gone. There was also not enough space in the van more like packed Ike sardines.
This was our first time in Bourdeaux and we decided to take this tour to Margaux on the left bank of Gironde in the afternoon of December 2. The tour was organized by Olala and our guide was Valentin. The departure point was a wine bar on Rue Mably, which is conveniently located and provides water replenishment service and a restroom. Everything in our case moved like clockwork. We left on time in a group of six and rode for about an hour while Valentin provided lots of information regarding Bourdeaux and wine along the way to Chateau Margaux where it was possible to take photos. Then we headed to Chateau Paveil de Luze for the first tasting. After a tour of the winery where we got briefed about the history of the estate and their process of winemaking, we tasted three wines, the first being a white and then two reds. In between the tastings we were offered chocolate sticks with different flavors. Then we headed to Chateau Dauzac for the second tasting where we were again given information on the same subject and then moved to the tasting of three wines, all red this time. On the way back, Valentin gave tips on favorable places to visit in and around Bourdeaux. These were all to the point since he is from around the area. His driving was very smooth and he was quite knowledgeable on the subject of wine. All in all, this was an excellent tour on a cool yet beautiful sunny day with nice people to the heart of wine country.
Viktor was amazing!!! Great information and a ton of fun! Loved learning about how French wine is made and what makes it different.
Quality of our guide, Nicole, and delicious red wines! Beautiful vineyards. A good structured tour visiting attractive vineyards with helpful local guides
Nice wineries and guide was knowledgeable. Enjoyed learning about the different wines and the area. Recommend
Our driver Valentin was on time, courteous and knowledgeable about Margaux vineyards. We had great time tasting at 2 wineries.
Great way to know Margaux and its historic wines. Friendly staff, knowledgeable hosts and nice wineries that provide a good idea of the region’s winemaking business
Departure in a minibus from near Place de l'Opéra. Took an hour or so to get to the Margaux region, and similar back. Affable driver, but inaudible except those in the front seat beside him. Saw two wineries, and guided tour and tasting, plus questions. The highlight has to be seeing Chateau Margaux itself, though only to photograph through the gates. Pleasant enough trip, but pricy.
Guide was informative and friendly. The wineries we visited were gave good presentations and the wines were good.
Awesome tour. Started on time, the guide was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. The chateaus were very interesting, presenting wine and their craft. Can highly recommend!
Very enjoyable drinking a lovely Rose while hearing about winemaking in a state of the art barrel room!
