Hugo was very friendly and informative and he had great tips. The trip itself was amazing, Saint-Émilion is absolutely beautiful.

Truly lovely. Vineyard Wes great and the host was very friendly and informative. The village was also wonderful.
Xavier was a great guide for this tour. Limit of 8 was great! Sure you pay extra for the small size, but you get a more personalized tour compared to the bus with 50 people. I just couldn't imagine that working! Great tour, highly recommend!
Sylvie our driver was excellent! Very engaging and sweet! Gave us a great history of the village of St Emilion and little walking tour. The host at the chateau was likewise engaging and humorous! We loved learning about what influences grapes and the wine making process.
Our Guide, Xavier was excellent. From start to finish he shared so much information with the group. From the time we left Bordeaux he starting sharing even points of interest about Bordeaux and area. When we arrived for the Saint-Emillion village visit he was quick to give us a few tips on extra highlights that are not often obvious to other tourists. The visit to the Haut Rocher winery was excellent. The tour and wine tasting were very informative. The presentation gave us some great history on the winery as well as the present day process. The tastings/pairing were very nicely presented and appreciated by all. I would highly recommended OLALA!!
Excellent trip, friendly helpful guide, and interesting trip to vineyard, wine making and tasting with informative wine expert. Time to look around st Emilio. Great half day, highly recommend
The wine tour was lovely but could've been more to it. For the price and time they could've added another winery to the agenda. Enjoyed the one we visited... learned a lot from the wine maker. To add to the experience, it was supposed to include some cheese and crackers but the guide forgot. And waited till one of the group mentioned it before admitting to it. No big deal but would've been nice if she said something to the group first instead of waiting for us to ask. Or maybe offer to buy us water to compensate as it was only 3 of us. Overall a nice experience, walking through St. Emilion was magical, our guide was really knowledgeable and the whole process was easy.
My College age, daughter, and I went on this wine tour in late June. The reason we picked this particular tour is because it was half-day, and it included transportation and a stop in the village of St. Emilion. Because of the unusual heat wave, I was especially happy to have air-conditioned transportation. Our tour guide, Margaux, was very knowledgeable and her English was very good. I enjoyed the information that she shared during the ride as well as for half of our time in the village. We had another half hour to roam in the village. I wish we had more time to spend in the village, but we had to get to our wine tasting, so we only had a total of one hour. The winery tour and tasting was perfect! We were able to learn about the winemaking process in this small vineyard and the tasting was outside in the shade with beautiful views. We also had a small with the wine. I would recommend this tour 100%. 10 out of 10!
We traveled to Saint Emilion from Bordeaux in a Mercedes Van with an experienced, friendly and knowledgeable guide. On the journey, we passed through fields of vineyards and numerous chateaus before spending time in the town of Saint Emilion and Chateau Rocher.
This is a nice short tour. Mia was our guide and was fantastic. She is local to St Emilion and has a career’s worth of experiences and it shows. The whole day was great even despite the unusual heatwave and unusual amount of traffic. The only unanimous note we have for the company is that for this vehicle, this should only be a tour for 7 people not 8. The front middle seat should not have a customer in it. Otherwise, great job!
All good with the tour, we left on time, And the guide was really friendly. No problem or complains.
This tour was very small so you can ask the guide any questions. They take a maximum of 8 people and they have a nice office to meet at starting the tour. It was a short 1 hour drive to the winery which is a small villa in the country. The guide was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the grapes and wine making process. Tasting 4 different wines was a great education and the cheese and fresh bread was delicious. Highly recommend this tour if you are looking for a small group and small winery with lots of education.
Lovely half day tour. Tristan at the chateau was brilliant, so friendly and knowledgeable and funny. He answered our questions with enthusiasm and taught me how to taste the wine and discover what it was I liked (or didn’t like) about each one, this will definitely help my shopping in future. Our visit to St Emillion with our guide Valentin was lovely. Again so knowledgeable and friendly, he took an interest in each person in the group and was very encouraging of our questions. Very well organised, easy to find the meeting point and the minivan was very clean and comfortable.
Too short, half a day tour did not allow enough time to explore the town of Saint-Emilion after travelling time and the time for the tasting, we had about 20 minutes only. Great guide and tasting host, the ‘charcuterie’ with the tasting was very sparse consisting of two small thin slices of sausage, two matchsticks of cheese and two very small rounds of bread. Beautiful countryside and comfortable travel.
Really enjoyed it . Very informative. Lovely wine tasting. The only criticism is that it's too little time in st Emilion .
Really nice half-day experience with very knowledgeable and friendly guides! Even the meeting point at Olala in Bordeaux was welcoming and impressive, and the transport van was brand new and comfortable. Would recommend for the half day
Very well organised tour. St Emilion is beautiful and the visit to Chateau Haut Rocher was excellent. Very friendly guides. Good fun
Enjoyable 1/2 day. Very convenient and well organized. One stop at a great local winery and then a visit to stunning St Emillion. Gave us a nice taste of the wine country without taking up a full day
Reney was an incredible guide- great sense of humour and very knowledgeable. We thoroughly enjoyed the wine tasting and tour.
Great informative trip! Touched all senses 😊 Learned a lot from both - our tour guide Xavier and our young but knowledgeable host at Chateau Haut Rocher.
Margot was our guide. Best guide ever. She drove us to st emillion for wine tasting. Awesome day. Learnt so much about wine and how it is made. Was lovely to see more of the region outside of Bordeaux too. Small group and it was the trip of a lifetime. Highly recommend these guys. Felt safe and comfortable and would do it again. Thank you. Amazing experience which is an amazing everlasting memory xxxx
The guide was excellent. Very knowledgeable about the area and the wine. However there was no charcuterie and cheese as specified in the details of the booking
Fantastic guide small group experience. Just right for the price. Great information and insights. The winery was perfect. Recommend!!
Very informative tour. Enjoyed the knowledge we received from our tour guide and the wine chateau guide. Enjoyed the experience in St Emilion. Very nice and comfortable
It was awesome - the guide Margot was very knowledgeable and fun. I loved that we got to do a walking tour and the wine tour as well
Olala tour agency was excellent. Organized and informative. Renee our guide knew the region , wine and had a great sense of humor. 4 hours was enough time to visit the historical village and winery. Gasper from the winery was so enthusiastic and entertaining. A delight and kept us entertained!
Saint-Émilion was beautiful definitely a great day to tour this quaint city and surrounding areas and vineyards in the Bordeaux region of France. Our tour great was excellent Renee was wonderful answered any and all question and knew a lot about the history in this area. You will be walking in this town and walking up a hill which can be slippery when wet. Wear sneakers!! Great tour!!! Also at the vineyard gentleman I can think of his name was great and was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the wines you will be drinking and also you get some charcuterie board too! Highly recommend this tour and it's. 4 and half hours great scenery on the drive back rolling hills beautiful towns
We'd such a fun time visiting the gorgeous Saint-Emilion, learning about the history from our guide and having a fab authentic wine tasting in a Chateau. I would highly recommend this tour.
Well exceeded my expectations with knowledgeable guide Jermey and intimate tasting. Just what we needed to learn about Bourdeaux.
Very nice tour! Our guide René was so nice and helpful , provide us with so much information and good humour!
We booked the tour few weeks in advance. It was well planned for 8 people. We visited the village of Saint Emilion and one winery. In the village we can stay with the guide or by ouselves. Tour guide hire was pleasant and knowledgeable.
Very Fun……very professional…very educational….. safe driver……money well spent… Jeremy was great!!!!!
The trip was awesome and we are so glad we went. Our guide, Valentin, was very patient, thorough and knowledgeable throughout the trip including giving us plenty of time to explore in Saint-Emilion. One of the tourists struggled a bit with a hurt knee but Valentin was very accomdating taking a bit longer route to avoid the steep hills in the village. The wine tasting at the Chateu was also an incredible experience with beautiful views in a very relaxed atmoshphere. The host at the Chateu was very thorough in the vineyard tour and explaining the wine making process. The wine was also delicious. Everything about this trip was perfect and I highly recommend it.
What a great experience! Our guide Nicole was fun, knowledgeable and a great driver. All the Chateaux we visited were unique and memorable. The wine was excellent and driving around the countryside was beautiful. There were 8 or 9 of us in the group and we managed well considering we were a group of strangers on an adventure together! The lunch under the trees was so pretty…the cheese was divine!
Very informative and attentive driver. Excellent visit to St Emilion and wonderful wine tasting and summary by the lady in charge. A lovely experience..!!
Simple way of getting to St Emillion from Bordeaux (1 hour minibus drive each way) with informative commentary throughout by excellent host Xavier. Nice to have a little free time in the village too with good recommendations of things to do within the time frame. Pleasant wine tasting in small Chateau with friendly lady who along with Xavier, explained the Bordeaux wine scene in an easy to understand & entertaining way.
It was a very fulfilling and interesting experience, the wine was delightful and very tasty. Our guide Gaspar was very knowledgeable and provided excellent insight into the world of wine and its culture. Would recommend to anyone looking to learn and taste some amazing wine.
Excellent tour with exceptional guide. I really enjoyed the pace, facts, history and wine. This was the best tour guide I have ever had.
Nice tour of St Emilion but only one vineyard visited which as this was supposedly a wine tour was not really enough as only 3 wines tasted, adding another vineyard would be good
Easy to get to Friendly hosts Knowledgeable tour guide Great ride and beatiful area, breathtaking! Guide let us sightsee see for one hour, vineyards owners were nice and explained wine process Great tour!!! Would recommend!!!
Our guide, Xavier, knows anything and everything about Bordeaux wines. From the moment you are with him he educates you thoroughly! It was such a pleasure having him as our guide. And, he also gave us a lot of insights on what to do and where to eat when back in Bordeaux. I had a delicious seafood lunch at Le Petit Commerce afterwards.
I loved this day trip from Bordeaux to Saint-Emilion. Our guide was amazing and had a lot of knowledge of the Bordeaux region and of the history of wine there. Saint-Emilion is charming and picturesque. We learned a lot about how wine is made when we were at the beautiful Château winery. If you are visiting Bordeaux, this is a perfect half day tour.
Tour guide, Rene, was incredibly well informed, pleasant and thoughtful. Knew the history of Bordeaux as well as the science of wine making. The four hours rushed by, I could have listened to him for hours. Mercedes vehicle very comfortable, visit to a winery and tasting with Vincent also informative. Both young men were charming, knew their subject and enthusiastic. A pleasure to meet such fine French men and learn so much about this beautiful region.
A fantastic day! Beautiful vineyards, with lots of history and charm! And the wines were all fabulous! An experience to repeat and explore even more!
Vincent was a great guide and knowledgeable about wines from Bordeaux, Saint-Emilion, and the surrounding area. I was happy to take a trip to Saint Emilion without having to drive, and it was nice to get a history lesson along the route. The winery we visited was great also. We learned about the entire process of making wine from the vines and their upkeep to pressing, to the steel vats, barrels, and finally into the bottles. The wine was good too.
Stunning tour thank you One of the best we have been on. Loved our driver and St Emilion. The family run winery was also excellent.
Our guide, Emanuelle, has a delightful personality; and on the drive to St Emilion was a fount of information about the Bordeaux area, its wine makers and wine making. Her tour of the village of St Emilion was supremely informative. Sitting in the front of the van, we admired her smooth driving skill. We regret that the rest of our review does not match the remarks of previous reviewers. Yes, our Chateau Balestard La Tonnelle guide explained and showed us the processes of wine making very professionally. And true, the weather prevented us tasting wine on the terrace with views over the far countryside. But the large tasting room was bleak and unwelcoming. We moved swiftly from one wine to the next, with no plain biscuit (as in Britain) to prepare for the next tasting. And for the cost of this tour we would expect some refreshment after the wine tasting before the return drive to Bordeaux. Obviously not coffee before wine tasting, but certainly to end the Chateau visit, preferably with a small local pastry.
Highly recommend. Left at 9am and returned at 1pm. Our guide Noah was excellent and very knowledgeable. Good value for money.
Wonderful day with Xavier our guide. I visited with my boyfriend. We left Bordeaux at 0930 and returned approx 1630. We visited Saint emilion first and had an hour to wander the village. Then we visited Chateau La Rose des Vents winery for a tasting of 1 white/3 reds. We had a preprepared lunch which was delicious. Then we visited Chateau Grangey for a tasting of 4 reds and finally we visited Chateau Monlot for a tasting of 1 white/2 reds. The tour was nicely paced. Xavier kept the conversation going throughout and there was an enjoyable mix of learning and general chat. We purchased 6 wines from chateau grangey to have them shipped to Ireland. There were 8 of us in total with a great mix of backgrounds. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area!
The knowledge of our guide Valentin was great. He was most generous. The small group allowed time for every one to ask questions and enjoy the tour.
