This was a fantastic full day tour. Xavier was an amazing guide, full of knowledge and information, with a fantastic humour. The variety of wineries, plus the great lunch made the day perfect. I don't hesitate to recommend.

There were three of us in our party and we also had a couple on the trip - so five total. The pace of the trip was well planned and we enjoyed our guide as well as all the places we visited. Would highly recommend
It was amazing! Our tour guide made this so fun and also pointed out local spots along the way and the history behind it. It is a long tour so be ready! Last recommendation- even if you know this is minimal walking, I still advise wearing tennishoes bc of the old cobblestone in st emillion. Nothing to crazy in heights or walking but would recommend especially if it rains. Gorgeous area, wonderful group, amazing wine!
Great small group of 8. Meeting point at the Olala Bordeaux office within 10 min. easy walk from cruise ship. Our guide Valentin met us right on time. Picturesque walk thru village of St. Emilio, then tour and delicious, light lunch at Vachon vineyard. Tours of Margaux estate and 2 more vineyards after lunch. Valentin was charming and extremely knowledgeable of the area, the wines, plus French food and customs in general. Returned to Bordeaux before 7pm. Learned a great deal about Bordeaux wines and vineyards. A perfect shore excursion as we spent overnight in port. We highly recommend!
A wonderful day. Village of Ste Emilion, and 3 chateau of Margaux plus Ch. Margaux. Our guide Xavier was very knowledgeable and informative. The lunch was interesting and delicious. A very relaxed day and learned lots of new information about the Bordeaux wine region. Also many insights into the wine areas and the city itself. Xavier was excellent English speaker and van very comfortable. Highly recommend this tour and company. Oohlala
It was a wonderful day. Rene was an exceptional guide. Knowledgeable about wines and also a great sense of humor. Highly recommend.
A wonder day touring some of the highlights of Bordeaux. Our tour guide Margot was awesome. The long drive through the countryside enables you to get a sense of the . The wine and lunch were amazing.
Very well run , full day seeing an excellent mix of family and larger wineries . Lunch which was provided was lovely. Our guide/driver Margaux was knowledgeable and friendly. Can fault this tour definitely was VFM and enjoyable
Lovely day out with friends. Our driver Antoine was friendly and knowledgeable. We explored the village of St Emillon, then had wine tours a 3 vineyards; Chateau Grangey - small, family run winery, Chateau Siran and my favourite Chateau Dauzac, before visiting Chateau Margaux for a photo stop. The lunch included was very tasty and catered for multiple food intolerances. Long day but highly recommend.
This a tour of exceptionally beautiful places. First we walked over and around the enormous beautiful dunes with striking views of the ocean and the bay of Arcachon. We then went to a nearby restaurant for a lunch of local oysters and shrimp accompanied by white wine. Finally on to the exceptional sea side resort of Arcachon which looks like the ideal of what such a place should look like.
We enjoyed our full day wine tour to Saint-Emilion, Margaux, and Medoc. Our guide/driver, Hugo, was a very safe driver and knowledgeable about the region and Bordeaux wines. We enjoyed a tasty lunch and all of the wines that we sampled.
We had a great time with Mia. She was so personable and kind. She has a great knowledge of the wine and history of the area. Would recommend her for everyone!
Valentin was outstanding. Very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable guide. He was very accommodating as well. Wineries were outstanding and we got to try one from each region- Saint Emilion, Margaux and Medoc. More driving than we expected but the van was new and very comfortable. 10 out of 10 for us!!
Amazing left and right bank wine experience. Antoine was excellent and extremely knowledgeable and affable. All vineyards provided a great tasting but we particularly enjoyed the Chateau Haut Rocher experience, where the host was awesome. We even got a blast of Abba between vineyards and Antoine’s was something to behold!! Thank you Olala Bordeaux.
The organisation was great and good communication. Our guide Mia was very knowledgable and communicated well in English about the area and wine. The first stop was St Emillion village and we had 45 mins free time to wander around and were able to pop into a couple of wine stores and the church. There were three winery stops on the tour. There were 5 people in the tour group which was a comfortable number in the mini bus. The first winery was quaint, an old chateau, family run, working hard, with old style equipment. It had a nice country feel. We tasted their wines, they were explained and advice was given about the process of how to taste wine. This was followed by a casual picnic lunch under a tree in the garden of the Chateau. We shared a bottle of wine that we liked from the tasting. The next winery was a step up in terms of elegance. This used to be owned by insurance company and is now back in private hands. Good quality, an interesting experience. The last winery had Grand Cru labelling, this was suppose to be the highlight but the wine failed to impress anyone in the group. The person giving the tasting did her best but the wine was not one anyone in the group enjoyed. Suggested to Mia this one taken off the list based on the quality which was sub par. Overall a good day trip for people wanting to see a broad area from Saint Emillion to the Medoc in a comfortable way. Recommend this is great for people with a limited knowledge of wine, wanting to learn more about wines, and wanting to experience Bordeaux countryside. A learning, we sat in the back seat of the mini van and unfortunately as our guide didn’t have a mic we heard every third word due to the rough country roads. Recommend that guides are mindful even if they shout it’s hard to hear in the very back seat.
This is a great tour if you have a full day to explore the Bordeaux wine region. We visited both the Saint Emilion and the Medoc region. An added bonus was a free tasting 2 white sparkling wines and a Rose before we got to our first Chateaux. In total we tasted 13 wines. Our lunch in the middle of the Vinyard under trees was delicious. Our guide Hugo was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of good information about the region.
Truly fantastic tour. The company gladly changed our itinerary to fit with our previous tour in the area. Our guide was wonderful, funny and so very knowledgeable. The lunch was lovely. It was a delightful day.
It was a great day out highly recommend. The tour bus air conditioned, the lunch in a Beautiful setting and the wine delicious
Highly recommend . Enthusiastic and knowledgable guide . Stunning countryside . Interesting choice of vineyards and wines to taste through the day . Ended up at a chocolate factory shop . What’s not to love !
Exceptional day! The tour was fantastic and our guide was amazing. If you are looking for a wine tour in this region look no further!
Fantastic day trip, Antoine our guide was very knowledgeable, spoke excellent English and was very fun. Trips to St Emilion and 3 vineyards were all amazing, highly recommended ohlala tours
We had a great trip with Hugo. He was very informative and fun. It was great to meet people from all over the world.
Xavier was a delight. Very knowledgeable! We learned even more about wine making. This tour is top rated and would recommend him again!!!
Antoine, our guide, provided a great experience of wineries in the area. We visited 3 organic wineries and made a quick stop to see Chateaux Margeaux. The weather cooperated as it would be uncomfortable on a hot day.
An exceptional day. Our guide was so knowledgeable and the three wineries selected for our visits were a wonderful mix. One of the best tours I’ve ever experienced.
Wonderful full day tour where you get to accomplish a lot, which was our goal! Mia was such a great tour guide, and we learnt so much. We were super lucky to spend all this time with her. The day was full of sightseeing, wine tasting, and great stories. Definitely recommend it if you are in Bordeaux for the first time and want to get familiar with different regions and get a feel for the area.
Educational and enjoyable experience. The three wineries had knowledgeable staff and our guide, Sylvie, was friendly, professional, and conducted a nice short tour of the town of Saint-Emilion. Lunch is included - it’s fine and enough is provided and they accommodated diet restrictions. It’s a very long day on many rough roads - for those in the third row it was uncomfortable. I highly recommend Dramamine if there is any potential of car sickness. Overall a high quality experience!
Mia was a delightful, informative guide, herself a sommelier, so she was able to impart a lot of interesting information whilst safely driving us around this picture postcard part of Bordeaux's wine regions for the day. First stop Saint-Émilion village was so charming, followed by three wineries, all very different, with multiple wine tastings either side of the tasty lunch provided, with more wine! A comfortable, relaxed small group tour which I would highly recommend, particularly with Mia as your guide. Merci beaucoup Mia!
Entirely too hot to be cramming 8 people into a tiny bus with very little AC. There should have been a limit of 4-5 people on a bus that small, and water should have been on hand. You’re lucky there wasn’t a medical problem. This tour was irresponsible.
Completely shocked given all the positive reviews. Stay away. Sold a bill of goods that was false. I never write reviews but this was enough for me to leave one. When I tried to take it up directly with the company, their responses only came back to me after much prompting and it was clear they really couldn't be bothered to address the issues. The rest of the tour group (we didn't know each other prior to this tour) were very upset- one person actually asked the tour guide to quickly stop at a store in the town we were passing through so they can get a pastry quickly as the "lunch" was abysmal, the guide said no so he was left hungry even though we were in no rush! I'm most upset that I'll never get that day of my vacation back, the money was significant but lower on my concern list. The vineyards they chose for the tour had us sharing tastings with random strangers that came in on bikes without appointments along at one vineyard and another had GIANT tour bus as well. Basically, save your money and go yourself at a literally fraction of the cost or find a better operator.
This was by far the best wine tour I've been on and Xavier was an engaging and incredibly knowledgable guide! The wines and scenery were exceptional and we learned a great deal during the drive and at the wineries. The group was small and the visits well paced. I feel like we were able to see and do a lot in this one day tour and I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to get a nice taste of Bordeaux wineries!
We had a fabulous experience! Valentin was an excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable and pleasant. Everything was so easy and well organized, and it was a fabulous way to learn about both the history and the wines of the region.
The tour was well organized and we had a good time. We went on a Monday and some shops in Saint-Émilion were closed, but we did not have time to see everything anyways so that did not affect our visit. Mostly red wines for the tastings and they were all great. You have the opportunity to buy the wines afterwards. Our tour guide Hugo was super funny, friendly and had the best moustache. I would recommend this tour to others.
Beautiful day to St. Emilion where we had a short visit to the village but time for coffee and a croissant. Then on to the wineries with a wine tasting followed by gourmet picnic lunch. More wineries and wine tastings. Back to Bordeaux about 5:45 pm; it was a lovely outing.
A lovely way to explore the wine areas of Bordeaux. Wines were of variable quality, some disappointing.
This tour was fun and informative. Learned a lot about the differences between the Right and the Left Bank's Bordeaux style of wines. Our tour leader was an excellent driver and knowledgeable about the regions and wines snd provided us with an excellent lunch at our first winery. All our winery tour guides were also excellent and entertaining. The highlight was the stop in Saint Emilion. It was a challenge hearing our driver from the third row seat. Otherwise, an excellent day.
Enjoyed visiting St. Emilion and Chateau Margaux and the wineries, but the lunch was cold trout, main course of chicken, rice, tomatoes and peppers, served cold. Would have preferred a hot lunch or cold meat and cheese sandwich. Wines and our driver Mia /guide/sommelier were great and very knowledgeable! Recommend driver use a microphone in the van so those in the back seats can hear better. Suggest speaking more slowly to understand the content.
Great Day with a fantastic host Antoune! We had a great group of people in our van and enjoyed their company. Thank you to all the wineries that hosted.
Fabulous day, guide was very knowledgeable and the group we were with were brilliant. We had a lovely mix of nationalities. We learned loads about wine from the region, would highly recommended
Our driver Sylvie did a wonderful job both driving and explaining the nuances of Bordeaux. Our only issues with the van was that the speaker in the back didn't work so the rear passengers missed some of what was said. The Chateaus that were chosen were beautiful and we loved the tastings, but we would've appreciated more time spent tasting and less time repeating the wine making process. Our biggest complaint was with the lunch that was served. The poor quality of the food and the lack of wine incuded with lunch was quite disappointing considering where we were and the cost of the tour.
Started the day in the picturesque Saint Emilion, amazing little village. Wonderful to visit the chateaus and learn about wine classification and the local rules around wine processing and production. Great tasting and appreciated each of the different chateaus history and stories, however the information around the wine making process was a bit repetitive. Would have been good to sit back and enjoy a glass of wine at one of the stops in the afternoon.
super tour, well organized, wonderful choice of wineries. Great to see both sides of the river and understand the different wine styles. The picnic in the St Emillion hillside was the highlight.
An excellent tour with Sylvie. The chateaux we visited and the tastings were really top class. The vineyard staff were very knowledgeable. We learned lots of new things concerning the wines of The Médoc and Saint Emilion.
Our day was exceptional! Our group was 8 people from all over the world and we all enjoyed each other. Our guide, Hugo, couldn't have been better. His English was perfect, he had a great sense of humor, and he was extremely knowledgeable, both about the area and wine.
We enjoyed ourselves, especially at Chateau Boyd-Catenac! That was the best wine tasting lesson we've ever had! Absolutely lovely day! Leire was a very informative, friendly, and personable guide and a very good driver.
Tour guide and driver Hugo was excellent and very patient in his explanations. He is a great asset to your company. We felt the picnic lunch as very below average and were expecting some cheese and meats to go w the wine tasting.
Excellent overall experience. Sylvie, who led the tour and drove the mini bus, was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The vineyards we visited were very hospitable and provided a clear guide to wine cultivation and production. The tastings were also enjoyable - a good comparison of wine styles. In particular our guide in Chateau Haut Rocher was incredibly witty and entertaining. The lunch provided was delicious! We stopped off in Saint Emilion and Sylvie gave a great guided tour of this beautiful and historic town. Would highly recommend the day tour.
Valentín was our guide and made us feel very welcome and knew a lot about the area. We visited St Emilion and Margaux and tasted 9 wines in total. We were offered a very nice lunch and I know some other people in the reviews complained about how bland it was but to be fair, both Valentin and Gaspar told us to season the food as the cook doesn't do it so it accommodates different palates. The one thing I'd probably say to the organisers, not to Valentín because he was amazing, is to perhaps get a better microphone as people sitting in the back really struggled to hear what Valentín was saying. Valentín was super nice and repeated all of it so everyone was aware. All in all, a super great day and I'm travelling back home with some nice bottles of wine!
Gasphard as our guide was great and very helpful and entertaining Picnic lunch was appropriate and enjoyable for the experience Wine tastings were good Overall and enjoyable day
A fantastic full day tour of 3 vineyards with great tastings and a lovely lunch. Our guide, Zavier, was very informative with a great sense of humour, he went out of his way to ensure we all had a great day.
