MyriamDon was an excellent tour guide- knowledgeable, friendly and had a passion for her city, Bordeaux. Besides learning about the history of Bordeaux we had a fantastic experience tasting food and wine.

A fabulous trip. Our delightful guide Oliver gave us a great insight into the history and culture of Bordeaux, with fascinating facts and delicious food on the way.
Our guide Oliver was charming, engaging and knowledgeable; a fun experience. Learnt much about the history of the area and the people involved as well as some delicious food on the way. Thanks you
Outstanding 3+ hour tour with an enchanting guide in Ricardo. Coffee, chocolate tasting, local fruit, local bread, cheese, a lunch, all while learning about this beautiful and fascinating city. The highlight, in my mind, was the local market (they sell everything, and everything is fresh) where we had a cheese tasting (smoked Comte is a new favorite). A very worthwhile tour and we’ve taken them everywhere. Highly recommend this operator and Ricardo as a guide!
Although a rainy morning, we had a great time learning about coffee, food, wine and some history of Bordeaux and the region. Caz was engaging and knowledgeable and a marvelous host.
Caz was great. He was approachable, knowledgeable, and flexible. The tour was very interesting and we saw many places we wouldn’t have seen without doing this tour. The food market was amazing.
Enjoyed a lovely stroll through Bordeaux with an amazing tour guide, Valerie. We were able to taste wine, cheese, chocolate, starters, organic fruit, desserts, and artisan bread. Each location had a great vibe and delicious food and taught us something about food and the beautiful city of Bordeaux. Very good value for the cost, would definitely recommend. 5 out of 5 stars!
We had a really great time with Caz! There were only two of us, so it felt like a private tour. Caz was very knowledgeable and engaging, giving us lots of fun historical facts, anecdotes and interesting trivia about Bordeaux, some of its architecture and of course food and wine!! Meandering through the historical parts of the city, we tasted a variety of local specialties: coffee, cheese, chocolate, bread, chocolatine, canelé, wines as well as a delicious entree in a restaurant. We highly recommend this tour if you’re a foodie visiting Bordeaux for the first time!

Really enjoyable, informative and fun food tour of Bordeaux! Valerie was an excellent host and showed us some lovely parts of the city along with some fabulous tastings! As a group of 6, she was able to answer all our questions and guide us around very confidently!
Stephanie was a very excellent guide, and we had a wonderful time sampling food and hearing the history of food and of Bordeaux. My wife had said that she was “delightful, very informative a pleasure to be with”.
We had a fabulous tour with the wonderful Caz! In addition to sampling some of Bordeaux’s best treats, Caz was a wealth of knowledge, interweaving interesting historical facts throughout the tour and very obligingly answering our myriad of follow up questions. His knowledge of Bordeaux’s rich wine history was a particular highlight! Recommend this tour to anyone visiting Bordeaux who enjoys food, wine and local history.
We gained so much more from this tour than we expected. Our local tour guide, Stephanie, was so generous with her knowledge of the history of Bordeaux and how it relates to food. The selection of food tastings were from carefully selected cafes, bakeries, and markets. Every bite was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Stephanie.
What a fabulous tour! We had a great guide (29th April) who gave us a great combination of history and food in Bordeaux. We had a number of tastings and food to take away with us. Would thoroughly recommend.
We were happy that our tour continued, even though we were the only participants. Isabelle, the owner, has a vast knowledge of all things Bordeaux. She told us about coffee, chocolate, cheese, bread, cannelés, and organic fruit, and we had a small taste of each. The tour ended at a restaurant with a choice of appetizer or dessert. So, there was not a lot of food, but there was a lot of the history of Bordeaux's culinary influences.
A very interesting everyday food tour where we got to explore some of the older parts of Bordeaux and its connection to its culinary delights. We sampled the local produce such as pastries, cheese and duck “rilletes”. Stephanie, our guide was very good at explaining everything and answering our questions. She even took away some questions and followed up with us on her findings. We felt very relaxed in her company, plus she spoke excellent English, as well as allowing us to practice our French. We felt it the tour was the right mix of history and food. Our only suggestion would be, to be allowed to explore the markets a bit more, soak up the atmosphere and to see what was on offer.
Isabella toured us around for three hours and we saw so much of the historical part of Bordeaux. She did a great job of explaining the history of many of the foods we tried and how they came to France/ Bordeaux. It was wonderful! I highly recommend!
Fantastic food tour. Our guide Stephanie was wonderful. Friendly knowledgeable and helpful. All of the stops were of great interest and high quality. Although we only spent a short time at the Capucins market on the tour we were able to go back and shop after we had said our goodbyes. Highly recommend this tour. We also revisited the organic grocery store to add items to our feast.
We loved touring the market and enjoying wine and cheese. The canales were the best we had in Bordeaux. We enjoyed seeing the first organic food store in Bordeaux in seeing its wares. We were introduced to some fruit we had never seen before. Stephanie chose great places for us to be and was a delight. We toured the first day we were in Bordeaux and Stephanie gave us a great template for the rest of our stay. She was very knowledgeable about the history of the city, which was great for two history buffs.
We thoroughly enjoyed our food tour and would highly recommend it !Our guide Isabelle has carefully selected each stop , and we were introduced to small producers who pride themselves on the quality of their food. We tasted coffee, chocolate , bread , cheese , and charcuterie and learnt about the history of Bordeaux while meandering through the beautiful old town.
Very informative, saw lots and ate lots that I would have never done without being on the tour. Excellent way to see the city for the first time.
We did the Bordeaux A Dream food tour and we loved it! Takes you through beautiful streets in the city center and give you a great taste of Boudreaux specialities. Every stop it’s selected with great care to highlight the importance of organic production and quality. Our guide Isabelle was really nice and really passionate about great food. It was a very enjoyable experience.
This tour had all you could want and more. It is very new but you can tell that alot of time and effort has been put into ot curating the best possible experience. The host Isabelle was passionate about the history of Bordeaux and the of food and wine we tried, which made the experience all the more enjoyable. I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone planning a trip to Bordeaux.
My daughter and I loved this food tour of Bordeaux. Isabelle and Maria were our tour guides. They were both so warm and friendly and the tour was informative and delicious. It was a wonderful way to learn to navigate the town of Bordeaux also. We agreed that we will start any visit to a new city or county with a tour similar to this. They provided so many suggestions and were so helpful and patient with our lack of knowledge of the French language. They tailored the tour to our desires and food preferences. It was truly a wonderful experience!
An ideal activity to do as a couple or with friends to visit Bordeaux in an original way and for lovers of good food. Isabelle was a great guide, passionate and very friendly who made us discover many authentic places. A big thank you to her!! This food tour is also a great gift idea
Es war sehr informativ Vielleicht ein bisschen mehr über Food und Wine wäre cool!! Man hat einen Eindruck von Bordeaux.
Great tour that combines history, anecdotes, meetings with local artisans with strong values and the best... tastings! Very nice meeting with Isabelle who founded Paris Bordeaux a Dream It’s an original gift that’s sure to please.
Thanks, Stephanie. We loved this gourmet tour. History and choice of points of interest were perfect. Everything tasted like heaven 😉 you are an excellent guide. Looking forward to seeing you in Montreal. Diane and Michel
What better way to discover a city than through its gastronomy and its craftsmen, restaurateurs and producers passionate about their profession? After testing Paris A Dream (we recommend!), this is what we had the chance to do thanks to Isa de Bordeaux a Dream and his Gourmet Walk in Old Bordeaux. Isa is a great guide passionate about the activity she created. We were delighted to receive the email with the addresses visited and about twenty other addresses tested. If you want to discover Bordeaux in a different way and especially away from walks with big impersonal tourist companies, book without hesitation!
Great experience this weekend in Bordeaux! It’s amazing to be able to visit a city while tasting high quality products and discovering a whole culinary heritage. An activity that I recommend 100% to visit Bordeaux! Thank you again for this FoodTour!
It is a different experience from other guided tours. Shops specializing in infrequent and therefore very curious food topics are visited. It's pretty original. Departs from usual and in very small groups
Thanks to Isabelle for this superb gourmet walk in the heart of Bordeaux. We had a very pleasant time & the products tasted were delicious! We didn’t see time pass. Thank you so much!
We hired the gastronomic tour because we were struck by what it proposed in the ad. The result was as good or better than what was proposed. They showed us the most interesting and not always visible, of the Bordeaux food trade with a historical approach while innovative and sustainable in addition to a small restaurant experience. A really entertaining morning and a motivation to continue discovering this great city that is Bordeaux.
