Bordeaux Sightseeing Private Sidecar Guided Tour

It was so much fun. If you are not a motocycle driver, you should reserve for 3 people if you are 2, so that both have a driver and you mount the side car instead of the back of the driver’s moto.

What a brilliant experience! Our Retro Tour of Bordeaux by motorcycle and sidecar with Alex was easily one of the highlights of our time in the city. It is such a fun and novel way to explore Bordeaux. We travelled through the grand streets, winding alleyways and little cobbled snickets, seeing parts of the city we would probably never have discovered on our own. There is something quite special about seeing Bordeaux from a vintage motorcycle and sidecar and we absolutely loved it. Alex was fantastic. Personable, charming, knowledgeable and really good company. He clearly knows and loves Bordeaux and shared lots of interesting stories and little bits of history along the way without it ever feeling like a history lesson. We have done plenty of walking tours and sightseeing buses over the years, but this was so much more fun. You get to cover plenty of ground, squeeze into places a bus could never reach and actually feel like you are exploring the city rather than just looking at it through a window. A really memorable experience and one we would definitely recommend. If you are visiting Bordeaux and fancy doing something a little different, give this a go. We came away with huge smiles on our faces.

Wozzers, what a brilliant tour. We thought we had seen all of Bordeaux until we went on this tour. Alex was a brilliant tour guide, he was funny, very knowledgeable with all the history. The novelty of doing this tour enhanced the experience of seeing and gaining historical facts of the area was beyond our expectations. Just book it, You won’t be disappointed.

SO MUCH FUN! My friend and I shared the motorcycle with Alexander,she was in the sidecar,I was behind.. 1st he was early! 2nd a great driver speaking excellent English,very nice. Stopped in interesting spots,seemed very knowledgeable. 45 min trip,went by too fast! I highly recommend

Good fun way of seeing around Bordeaux. Guide didn't speak much English and preferred to do the Tour in French. No real info on the historical development of Bordeaux. One of us was in the sidecar and the other riding pillion which was not expected. Tour lasted longer than the expected 45 minutes but then parts of the route were very busy.

Great way to see Bordeaux! Only issue is the traffic, plan to get there at least an hour before scheduled tour. I had to cut mine short due to transport to get there and felt I didn’t get the full experience, not the tour operators fault but 119 gbp I felt it wasn’t good value for money.

This was the best tour of the city of Bordeaux. Our guide , Arnaud, could not have been better. So informative , so friendly and knowledgeable . No words to express how excited i was the whole time . The two gentlemen who drove us on our tour (2 couples) were fun and provided lots of interesting facts about the city. It was a fun way to see the city.

This is a must-do! Alexandre is extremely personable (anyone can have knowledge but he does a great job explaining in a way that you can really learn), and made me feel instantly comfortable through the whole trip. I had so much fun, couldn't believe it went as quickly as it did. Super fun! I even had a crazy question about something (les lamproie) and he had an instant answer. Awesome!

Driver was very understanding of some anxiety about riding on the back of the bike. He was very knowledgeable and had interesting stories to tell. He was funny and stopped a couple of times to allow for photos. He recommended restaurants to us and the best time to visit popular sites.

Arnoud was a magician!! He brought the spirit of Bordeaux to life and we fell in love with the city.

My wife and I booked the 45 minute tour while on our honeymoon. Our guide/pilot Alex was punctual, very friendly and made us feel very welcome and comfortable, while showing us around the city he shared a wealth of historical knowledge as well as pointing out great places to get food and drink during our stay. Once our tour was over both my wife and I agreed that we should have booked one of the longer tour options, it was a brilliant experience and should we return to Bordaux we will most certainly be booking again.

Our driver was fun and engaging and despite the weather which was cold and damp we still had fun. Sitting on the back of the motorbike was a bit scary but still fun

Alex and Lucio were incredible tour guides. Our family (18 year old son) were so impressed with their intimate knowledge of the area. The 3 hour tour was a perfect mix of history and the city as it is now. We speak English but communication with Alex was flawless. Alex was a joy from the start, he was funny and informative and the interaction was great fun. Being on a motorbike (and sidecar) was such an experience. My wife enjoyed holding on to Alex when she sat pillion 😂. We would thoroughly recommend this experience.

Great fun and very interesting way to see the heart of Bordeaux…two fun guides…three of us traveling together.

Alex and his staff were fantastic! We enjoyed cruising around town (getting many smiles from the locals), learning about the history of Bordeaux and visiting the different neighborhoods. We were able to go down tiny streets where cars cannot drive and across town on a scenic and exhilarating ride. We booked the tour in advance - it sells out - and it was our first event when we arrived in Bordeaux. It was the perfect introduction and helped us when we returned to the various neighborhoods on foot later in the week.

This was such a great experience discovering parts of central Bordeaux which we probably wouldn't have seen. Our driver, Annou was polite and knowledgeable but above all fun! We were able to stop at different sites and be given interesting information. We would definitely recommend this experience to anybody wanting something a bit different. Thanks Annou!

Our Tour guide (Arno/NoNo? Sorry I don’t know how to spell it🥲) was the sweetest, funniest and most caring tour guide ever. We had the best experience ever! He was so attentive and informative. My elderly mother really enjoyed the trip and loved him also, she said it was one of the best things she has done abroad. Well worth the money! Our tour kind was so kind and aware of the weather, he took us to cooler spots and even got us some water at his expense. Such a lovely gentleman and an absolute credit to the company he works for. He also has great taste in video games so he earns extra stars for that lol. Thankyou for a wonderful day!!

Omg I have to say a big big thank you to Arthur and Hugo for for a great experience on their sidecars! It was our first time to Bordeaux and first time having a sidecar tour! Arthur who was my main driver was informative, attentive, patient and jus jovial easy to talk to and he did his best to make us happy! What an amazing experience. Great tour with very knowledgable guides Arnaud and Arthur. We had an hour tour and we’re given the option of historic or fast and historic so my son chose the later. Saw lots of the city and given lots of recommendations of other places to go/ eat and the best Bordeaux cakes to get! Would definitely do it again

After a few safety tips from Lucio, our guide/driver, we set off on our tour driving through the streets of Bordeaux and stopping at various landmarks. Lucio was very knowledgeable and entertaining in sharing facts and made the entire experience fun and interesting! He also took great pics of us at every stop. If you have a chance to do this, and are up for a fun - and sometimes quite fast ride - this is must do!!! Thank you, Lucio - you made our day and we will always remember our side-car ride with you!

A private guide, in my opinion, is the only way to experience a new city. My guide, Arnaud, made sure I had fun. He explained the history surrounding every stop/point of interest with enthusiasm and humour. I thoroughly enjoyed the freedom of riding on a motorbike, the places we visited, the wind in my hair, and the beauty of Bordeaux.
