This was one of the best tours I’ve been on! The food and wine was delicious and plentiful. Aurelian share some amazing local places with us and was so knowledgeable about Bordeaux and the surrounding areas. He was friendly and fun to interact with. I would recommend this to anyone and would take the tour 100 times over!

There seem to be a lot of food tours in Bordeaux but this one stood out to me as including wine and being run by a sommelier. When we found that Aurelien was working for himself and supporting only independent establishments, we were even more pleased with our selection. It was a thorough, varied but relaxed tour. It was a very pleasant way to spend three hours and we came away better educated about the area.

We loved this tour! Aurelien was a great guide, sharing the history of Bordeaux and knowledge of local products and wine. We got to taste many delicious, artisan products from various shops and restaurants. Would highly recommend!

This was such a great tour and was our favourite part of our holiday in Bordeaux. This isn’t a large organisation rolling out tour after tour. This has a truly personal feel, provided by the fantastic Aurélien. Every stop we made; we met passionate, local business owners, tried delicious food, learnt about the history and origin of the food and enjoyed a glass of wine carefully paired with it. We walked, chatted, ate and drank with someone who felt like a local friend. Exactly the kind of vibe you want when you’re visiting a new city you know very little about. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough.

We had such a lovely lunchtime, visiting some important traditional food and drinking places in old Bordeaux. It was so varied and full of interesting information and fun. Aurélien was the perfect host. He was also very accommodating when we had to change the date at the last minute. I highly recommend the trip!

This tour of Bordeaux was awesome! Aurelien was a perfect host and shared so much information that we would have not gotten otherwise. The food and wine were delicious! He did an amazing job of choosing a variety of locations for sampling cuisine and drinking delicious wine.

Aurelien is a great host, we found him charming and engaging and the perfect host for our food and wine tour around Bordeaux. He said at the start that he wanted us to experience some different and unexpected and the tour certainly was. We did a 11.30am tour and visited probably 6 to 8 shops tasting local wines and cheese, hams and bread, cakes and chocolate and pates. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore some eateries in Bordeaux.

Great guide. An independent tour guide rather than the big companies. Guide was so knowledgeable and great sense of humor. We were able to visit all small independent establishments owned by locals who love what they produce and it really shows in the quality. So glad we choose this tour.

What a great way to see the city and enjoy local businesses, food and wine. Our guide, Jourdan, was great. Informative, easy to follow and provided us with a lot of great extras like testing our ability to identify different scents found in wines. You are provided with a tastings at every stop and it is more than enough to be a full meal. I highly recommend

What a brilliant experience! Highly recommended. Very knowledgable and personable guide who has carefully crafted a tour with stops that are authentic and selected for the highest quality produce. Marvellous food and wine, plentiful but not over the top meaning we could pop out for dinner that evening to one of the recommended spots. We really enjoyed a game where we used our (lacking) sommelier skills to identify fragrances! Book now!

I highly recommend this tour. The guide was awesome. We tried a wide range of food ranging from meats to desserts. He did a good job making the wines approachable and choosing wines that we might not have otherwise tried. We learned a lot and had a lot of fun along the way.

Great way to spend a few hours in Bordeaux if you want to enjoy good food, wine and relaxed company. We tasted caviar, fois gras, a selection of cheeses, cured meats and sweet treats, all washed down with perfectly paired wines - you won’t go hungry!

First wine and walking tour we’ve done and it was very enjoyable. Aurélien the guide was great, very knowledgeable about the history of Bordeaux and as a sommelier, wine too. We stopped at small independent shops and wine bars in and around the old part of the city tasting sweet and savoury. Learnt about about wine along the way. The tour concluded with a wine tasting with cheeses and chocolate in a small wine bar with a deli counter (Coume Vai). So good we went back there twice for lunch…. their croque monsieur is very good.

Aurelian was a sommelier so we had a great introduction to the wines of Bordeaux. He took us to the golden triangle and old town which we look forward to spending more time exploring. The food selection was well curated to experience foods of France that we might not have tried otherwise. He was very engaging and personable and made each of us feel like getting to know each other which is a real skill.

Very enjoyable tour. The food and wines served were excellent. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the wine and the pairings that he offered. All were delicious. The stores and restaurants that we went to were local, small, artisanal with interesting selections.

Wow, we had SUCH a good time with Aurelien, we got a great variety of very tasty bites, amazing wine, we saw neighborhoods we wouldn't have saw with out him. He was fun, yet kind and patient. It was fun and relaxing. We left with happy bellies. We also hit some shops, so you are welcome to buy some small take home gifts if you I recommend going early in the trip so you can revisit some of the places he takes you too. My husband and I do food tours often when we travel, this was one of our top tours. I'd do it again with Aurelien if I visit again... Thanks for the good memories Aurelien!

Aurélien was wonderful! Very knowledgeable about his wines. He’s been living in Bordeaux for 16 years and is a sommelier. He took us to many family owned shops and the food and wine pairings were excellent. He showed us around the city and gave us many recommendations for restaurants bars and things to do. I will be telling all my family and friends about Aurelian’s tour! Highly recommend!!!!

This was the best of all the walking food tours we have taken. Rory was an outstanding guide. He paied each food with an appropriate wine and explained why the food and wine go together. Each stop was in a shop where we sat and tasted as opposed to standing on the street. If I could give this 6 stars, I would. The BEST food tour.

Such an amazing way to experience Bordeaux and learn its rich history through wine and food. Aurélien is so kind and knowledgeable as he walked us through all the various gastronomic items this great region of France has to offer. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone visiting the city!!

Tasting local specialties is always one of the most memorable experiences we have when we travel. We did this tour at the very start of our vacation, and then we could not stop thinking about the glorious Dunes Blanches. We thankfully purchased small and portable quantities of the various specialties we tasted because these were the best souvenirs from our wonderful time in Bordeaux. We also enjoyed the wines and cheeses. Aurelien did a great job making this is a very fun tour with most emphasis on food and wine over sightseeing.

This experience was much better than I expected. It included an instructional walk through the Golden Triangle of Bordeaux as we walked between local shops offering local products paired with local wines. Caviar, foie gras, meats, cheeses, baked specialties and artisanal chocolates: each treat paired with a different wine -- at least 8 different wines. Our excellent guide has some training as a sommelier and so we had our taste buds challenged in a gustatory game. Special requests were honored with extra stops. If you are ever in Bordeaux, take this tour. You will be surprised. Try everything: even if you think you don't like something ( like maybe foie gras you had in the past), listen to your guide's instructions on how to enhance the flavors and get ready to close your mouth and hum "Mmmmm!"

Excellent guide and tour. Plenty of delicious food and wine all with great explanations. Very nice pace that included stops in locally owned restaurants and stores. The guide provided a wonderful overview of the many wines in Bordeaux with excellent pairings that impressed so all. Very sweet group of guests too! We thoroughly enjoyed our food & wine tour in Bordeaux. It was a small, fun group and our guide gave us just the right amount of history, humour and sampling of the local cuisines, all from small business owners which we liked.
