Guide didn’t show up and received no communications. I should’ve looked at the reviews before booking, clearly a recurrent theme.
The price was minimal, with the anticipation of tips, but the guide didn’t show up at the designated time and place. So it had zero value. I have asked for a refund.
Great experience, our guide was well informed, polite and funny, ready to answer questions. A wealth of information on many topics from history, politics, to the Holocaust.a well spent two hours and a bonus at the end with a list of restaurants bars and other activities. Highly recommend to get a global idea of Bordeaux in the beginning of your trip.
Welcoming, knowledgeable guide, offering unexpected insights into the city’s history and culture. Excellent English (although the microphone was a little distorting for me with minor hearing loss - perhaps too close to the mouth). Kept the group together without pressure and moved through a lot of sites without feeling rushed or tedious. The amount of information was just right for two hours on a hot day. Thank you.
Guide did not show up. Need refund. No response . Contacted company for refund , very disappointed. No one was there to fill in
Great guide. Very informative and fun walking tour.
The tour guide did not message to advise it was cancelled and we only found out because they didn’t turn up. Very very poor communication and very disappointing that we were let down in such a manner. I invited a friend to show the best of Bordeaux. This made me look very stupid as we stood there like idiots waiting for someone to turn up
Guide was a no show…..wrote message to the company who wrote me back saying the meeting spot had changed, could have messaged me before to let me know! Went to the new meeting spot was told someone would be holding a flag no one there holding a flag! Anyway heard a guide speaking English joined the tour, left a tip at the end however have no idea what company the guide worked for.
The walking tour was exceptional, conducted at a comfortable and unhurried pace. Caz demonstrated extensive knowledge and was readily available to address all inquiries. Following the tour, Caz provided excellent recommendations for dining, refreshments, and attractions.
Really great tour, very knowledgeable guide who knows a lot about the city and also brings some humour to the two hours. Ended at a great wine bar that we went into after and really enjoyed and provided a great list of recommendations at the end.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and pleasant. We were able to see the highlights of the city and she ended with recommendations.
Our guide Tammy made the experience so enjoyable. Not only her knowledge of Bordeaux which she shared, but she was extremely positive and engaging. Definitely a must do in Bordeaux.
Fantastic tour. Our tour guide was great and very accommodating. Perfect way to kick off our stay in Bordeaux. Would highly recommend it!
A good 2 hour walking tour with Mark, an Irishman, who is very knowledgeable about the history of Bordeaux. Easy delivery. We’d recommend this tour.
Bordeaux having extreme heat- did not go on this tour
Cancelled at the last minute - wasted our time
It was brilliant. Mark, the Irish guide living in Bordeaux, was excellent, entertaining and super knowledgeable. Fabulous short tour and highly recommended.
I booked this company for a private walking tour in Bordeaux for 6 people on June 11th. Mark ( HandMedina Co. Tours) sent me a receipt for the deposit back in January confirming my booking. On June 10th, Mark sent me a text message asking me to confirm if we are going ahead with the tour. I responded yes and informed him that there will be 8 people instead of six. I did not get a response back from Mark. Thinking positively, I gave him the benefit of the doubt that perhaps he was busy. We decided to show up at the meeting point on June 11th at 10:00 am. I sent him text messages but no response. I called his phone number twice. My call was rejected. There is a risk when doing business with someone you don't know. In my experience, 99.9% of the time things go well. This is the one exception. Mark must be having a bad day not to have the decency to respond to my text messages back to him. He initiated the text conversation. He could have at least sent a message informing me that he was not able to do the tour. But he was having a bad day so he chose to be unprofessional. Anyway, I wish him well in his future endeavors. And for those considering his services, I hope he's not having a bad day when it's your tour.
We had a wonderful walking tour of Bordeaux with Tammi! She was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much interesting history, local insight, and hidden gems along the way. You could tell she truly knows Bordeaux inside and out. She navigated the city effortlessly and made getting around easy and enjoyable, which allowed us to relax and fully take in the experience. Tammi’s enthusiasm and expertise brought the city to life. We left feeling like we not only saw Bordeaux, but truly experienced it.
A great way to see and hear about the history of Bordeaux without having to listen to the information in 2 languages
Caz, our guide gave us a very interesting, informative and entertaining tour of the historical sites of Bordeaux.
This was a wonderful way to see the city from a different point of view. The canales and one free drink were a great snack along the way. The guide was a bit hard to hear at times. We got some great photos from this tour.
We arrived at the place we were instructed to meet and our guide was a no-show. We waited for over an hour and checked places near the meeting site and nothing. This was to be the highlight of our trip to Paris. So very disappointing. When I contacted Mark at their office he made it our fault and dismissed my complaint.
Great history and general walking tour of Bordeaux from Pascale Rocher. Learnt a lot and thoroughly enjoyed tour. Very pretty and easy to walk around.
Our tour was cancelled and we didn’t find out until 20 min after we were to begin. The guide never showed and when I called to get info was told it was cancelled. The independent tour told me they told Viator the day before but that info wasn’t passed on to me
Very interesting and informative tour of Bordeaux with Camilla. She was charming and more than pleasant
Could not reach guide We were 10 mins behind Did not call us and could not reach him or I ve use Viator before In Bordeaux they are 0/10
Our guide spent time to learn what we wanted to see and we covered everything that she felt we should see also. We ended up within sight of our cruise ship and then had a nice stroll on our own back to where we started.
This tour is a great way to learn about the history of Bordeaux and get acclimated to the city. Lilia was an outstanding guide! Thank you!
Ordered on short notice. Great guide, very informative and personable, beautiful city…thoroughly enjoyed the tour.
Our guide was very informative and packed plenty of sites into our walking tour. She has a vast knowledge of Spanish history.
Beautiful and knowledgeable guide. We heard the history of Bordeaux dating back to the Medieval times. Our guide, Pasquale has a book that helped us understand what the town looked like.
Raphaël was a wonderful tour guide. So incredibly knowledgeable about the area and very kind. He brought Bordeaux to life for us. Additionally, he went out of his way to recommend restaurants and food options for us as we have some allergies and were looking for help navigating that in the area. Highly recommend!
Fantastic walking tour with a lovely guide who knew all the history and culture and could give us an insiders look at old Bordeaux. 2 hours packed with info and great sights. Highly recommend this tour.
Leyla was an excellent 3 hour walking tour guide. She was extremely knowledgeable and interesting. We would highly recommend this tour!
Very comprehensive historical and cultural tour of a beautiful Bordeaux cityscape! We felt like we walked the course of both the French Revolution, pilgrimages and a vibrant modernized city.
Bordeaux is a fantastic city. We will come here again. Lila, our tour guide, shared her knowledge in a very personal way. Super friendly and knowledgeable. A pleasure to spend 3 hours with her.
We had a fantastic time with Marina as our guide. She was a great host for our first full day in Bordeaux. The tour provided a wonderful overview of the city and marina was eager to point out hidden gems. We learned a lot of the history of the city and now have a great foundation for exploring Bordeaux for the next week! Thanks Marina!
This was a nice easy walking tour of Bordeaux! Lila was a great tour guide and gave us suggestions on where to eat and the best historical places to visit. I would highly recommend a tour like this in the first few days of your visit to get acquainted with the city quickly.
Rafael was delightful! It was like having a peaceful stroll with one of our sons. He accommodated our needs and was flexible. Can we stop at this cafe. Of course! Keep in mind, we were on a private tour.
Our guide Emma was great, and projected such a positive attitude about “her” city. In 2 hours we hit numerous highlights and also learned quite a bit about the history as well the current state of the area. Highly recommend this tour to get started in your visit to an amazing French city.
Our tour leader was so nice and extremely knowledgeable. We had wonderful time even though it was a rainy day. I highly recommend the tour!
Our guide was very nice-but the tour was just so so, we paid for a 3 hour tour and she thought it was a two hour tour so it was really just a summary.
Great walking tour with Indigo. We never felt rushed and we were able to make suggestions about what we valued seeing. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and pleasant.
Super friendly and very informative travel guide. Lots of very informative and interesting information about the City of Bordeaux.
Great 2-hour private tour with a local guide, highlights of Bordeaux history and modern day life, highly recommend!
Our tout guide was excellent, her knowledge something else, the information she shared gave us everything we need to re-visit this beautiful city, thank you
Wonderful walking tour! Great way to get an overview of the city! Our guide was great and gave us lunch recommendations that were very good!
A great tour guide and we saw a lot of interesting places. Our guide was very interesting and knowledgeable. Possibly three hours was a bit long and we should have chosen the two hour option as there was a lot of detail.
