We had a great time on the bike tour of Bordeaux. We visited well-known spots as well as some more unusual ones that we wouldn't have got to on our own. The pace was good - Bordeaux is beautiful to cycle around. It felt good value for money and our guide was very knowledgeable. We would definitely recommend!

A lovely way to see a lot of Bordeaux in a few hours. Our lovely guide ‘Flavi’ took us at a leisurely pace to all the historical sites of interest, whilst navigating the busy streets, in a calm, safe way. We even managed to circumnavigate the student protests with ease! Great way to spend an afternoon and don’t worry about not having been on a bike in a while, you pick it up very quickly on their fab bikes.

Fantastic way to see the city! We rented electric bikes. Bikes are well maintained. Guide very knowledgeable. Gave great recommendations as well.

Flavie was there to meet us in a quiet residential area. She was expecting two more guests, but they cancelled at the last minute, so we had the tour to ourselves. The bikes were good and Flavie was thorough with the safety briefing. She took us to gardens, churches, an amphitheater and gave us an entertaining history of Bordeaux and its complex relationship with England. There were some street demonstrations by school students, which added to the atmosphere. Three quarters of the way through the tour, the heavens opened, and we nearly avoided getting drenched, but not quite. Flavie and her partner sheltered us in their garage after the tour and gave us each a poncho to head out to the tram stop. Highly recommended.

This was one of the best bike tours we have taken.. Flavi was a high quality guide. She provided the history and a taste of the culture in Bordeaux. The equipment was in excellent condition and the pacing was perfect. Don’t think about this tour, just book it. It is a good spend of time and money.

Bordeaux is a pretty flat city so cycling around is quite easy and not too strenuous. We got to hear & see things that other tours miss like the amphitheater. Fleur was very informative and explained lots of details.

Fantastic experience and the perfect way to discover the city, combining beautiful sights, fascinating history, and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Our guide Flavie, spoke English (and French) perfectly, was incredibly knowledgeable, passionate and engaging, patient and open to our questions and asks - making the tour incredibly informative but also fun. We saw parts of Bordeaux and understood the city in a way we would never have otherwise. The pace was perfect: in 3 hours we saw all of Bordeaux, with some breaks and chats, and time to go in churches and passages. The bikes were comfortable and good quality - we were hoping for e-bikes because of the heat but booked too late, and, as advised it was absolutely fine on normal bikes as Bordeaux is quite flat and easy. I selected this company because they are a small size, local company, and the owner responded straight away to my message and organized promptly and swiftly, and was open to our needs. The whole experience felt very well organized from start to finish. An excellent and beautiful tour, a fantastic guide - highly recommended! PS: special thanks for the scrumptious canneles!

Excellent bike tour with Mika! Here's what we loved about this tour- 1- safety first! 2- Mika is extremely knowledgeable about Bordeaux and its history. He is also very friendly and good natured. 3- We were able to see so much of Bordeaux in a three hour tour- seems like we hit all the highlights. 4- This tour is a great value for the money. We loved the complimentary small cake.

A great way to learn about the history of Bordeaux and appreciate the city as it now is I was happy with the experience but it was diminished by incorporating two people who did not speak English . This was an English speaking group but the guide spoke French about half the time to the two non English speaking couple which was a wasted opportunity for the rest of the group. I would strongly recommend that he does not do this in future It could have been so much better.

This was such an enjoyable experience. Our guide was superb. We had the electric bikes which were fabulous (especially given the heat), but normal bikes would have been fine. Good condition helmets were provided, as were panniers for rucksacks etc.

Phenomenal experience! Great guide. Almost too leisurely a pace. Only negative is we should have been warned how hard the place to find. Literally a garage on a back alley.

Joshua was our tour guide today, 26/06/2026, we were late to arrive at “the shed” due to taxi not arriving. He handled our delay with kindness and we set off on an excellent tour of Bordeaux. Michael was a well informed guide who provided an excellent historical overview of Bordeaux and went well beyond a typical city guide experience. He had numerous visual aids to understand the interesting history of the city. I learned a lot while enjoying an excellent Dutch bike.

A lovely gentle cycle around Bordeaux , you definitely don’t need to be an experienced cyclist. Brought us to all the tourist spots and told us about the history. It was such a lovely afternoon, would definitely recommend

I loved this bike tour. We did 4 tours around Bordeaux and this was by far the best one. If you want history fun and an interesting half day tour this is the one. So many laughs and fun had . Thankyou Mika for such a memorable fun and interesting trip.

This was a really great way to see Bordeaux. I learned a lot and saw a lot. The only thing to caution others on is the bike riding was dangerous and you need to constantly be aware. You cannot rely on the guide to assist.

Mika was a great guide. The equipment was great, he provided ponchos which worked well for the variable weather in May, and he is very knowledgeable about Bordeaux.

We had great fun with friends casually cycling the streets and learning about Bordeaux. Flavie was engaging, easygoing and kept us all safe. The bikes were very comfortable. This was one of the best activities we did on our trip and would definitely recommend.

We were part of a group of eight adults, on ebikes, which were in good condition and easy to use (and quality, clean and comfortable cycle helmets). Mika, our guide, was mindful of safety and the progress of all group members, but was equally laid back and chatty throughout. The tour travelled through all the main districts, giving us a good sightseeing tour of the city, including the right bank which we might have otherwise overlooked. Mika's general knowledge was impressive and his historical tour very informative. We moved at a manageable pace, sometimes crossing busy pedestrian routes but never had to chase to catch up, other routes cleverly avoided the congestion while leading us to tourist hotspots. Overall it was a very enjoyable cycle, manageable for all ages and abilities, with a very friendly and informative guide. Bordeaux is bike friendly and a tour with Mika is a great way to enjoy it. This experience would certainly encourage me to take cycle tours on future holidays. I would definitely recommend Monsieur Bacchus as a value for money holiday experience.

Our tour guide Flavi was kind and informative. We had a fun tour of old town and across the stone bridge to Darwin and back. It was fairly easy. Bikes were comfortable. Highly recommend. The bikes had chain guards so don’t worry about your pant legs. Dress in layers.

This was a great way to see a lot of Bordeaux in 3 hours! As well as the historic sights of the old town, we got to cross the river to see a lovely arty area that we would not have found on our own! The tour guide was jus lovely and very knowledgeable and she made the whole experience a real pleasure! Highly recommended!

Flavie was an excellent guide! She was personable, engaging, knowledgeable & fun. Her english was excellent. The bike tour was every thing that we expected and more. We got to see a lot of the city. The 20 minute stop in Darwin was enough to have a beer. Highly recommend.

Flavie led our bike tour through the streets of Bordeaux. She was very friendly and made sure we all kept together as a group. We learnt lots about Bordeaux's history and Flavie treated us all to a famous Cannele cake. We also stopped for a break! Would highly recommend.

I would highly recommend a bike tour to see more of Bordeaux. It was easy riding, not crowded on the streets, and fun to see more of the town than just walking around.

We ended up getting a private tour as it is low season. Guide was very knowledgeable and planned great stops with places to explore along the way.

We had a great time on the ebike ride. Our tour guide Mika was VERY knowledgeable about the city of Bordeaux and we learned so much from him! He also took us to all areas of the city we could NEVER have found on our own. I would say to take this tour as soon as you arrive in town - then you will know where you want to return to see more. It feels like he took us to every single neighborhood- great guide and great tour! Be sure to read all his information carefully because although he sent me an email the morning of, confirming the location for us to meet - Viator sent us to a different location . It was ok - they were only about 10 minutes apart, but it was frustrating to have followed their directions. That is why he sends you an email first thing in the morning with the correct directions. He says that Viator is difficult to change. Enjoy!
