Bordeaux Afternoon Food Tour : Sweets, Wine And Cheese

Aurélien was fantastic. I've traveled the world and can say without hesitation that this young man provided the best food/culture/history tour ever. He is an ambassador and treasure to Bordeaux. If we could give ten stars we would.

My 2 friends and I had an amazing food and wine experience in Bordeaux with Aurelien as our guide. He was friendly, fun and very knowledgable about the different venues we visited and even suggested others, wish we had done this earlier in our visit. Great value for money and when he was told it was a friends birthday… he even produced a candle for her. Highly recommend

Aurelien was a fantastic host for this tour where we were able to taste local delicacies, wine and cheese. As a sommelier, Aurelien had fantastic knowledge of wine and was able to pair each type of wine with different cheeses. Please take this tour, you won’t regret it!

Ended up with a private tour for the 3 of us. A great mix of visits and a really knowledgeable guide. Highly recommend this for early in your stay! Nice insight into Bordeaux!

Aurélien was a wonderful guide from start to finish. He had excellent communication on where to meet and when. This 2 hour tour was part walking tour with history and part tasting delicious specialties of Bordeaux and ended with a very informative wine and cheese pairing. Aurélien also provided us with a physical and digital list of the best restaurants and bars around the city which was an unexpected surprise. 10/10 would recommend!

A wonderful walking tour with fun stops for treats from Bordeaux, then ending with a wine tasting and charcuterie at a family owned establishment. Each stop was a family or individually owned business. Our guide, Aurelius, was a perfect guide, knowledgeable, local, and for we English speaking visitors, very skilled in his English language. Highly recommend!

Aurélien was the best tour guide we could have asked for! The local stores and treats were authentic and delicious. The wine and cheese tasting was our favorite part, with Aurélien teaching the history and regional significance of the wines. Overall, we highly recommend going on this tour for a great Bordeaux experience!

Very expensive for what you get. You definitely do this tour yourselves for a fraction of the price and spend the left over money on yourselves. We spent £180 for x2 people and that was just too much for 3 wines /cheese plate/ 3 tiny squares of chocolate/1 canelle. Nice guy, but over priced. It's a walking tour with no overheads, so how he can justify the price is mind boggling.

Tour was great. A good variety of sweets, coffee demonstration, and the guide was great. A beautiful city and a great way to spend the afternoon.

Very fun afternoon of local treats and walk around Bordeaux. We learned a lot about local history, politics, culture, etc. Charming guide with excellent English (since our French is poor!) We frequently do tour like this afternoon of arrival to beat jet lag - worked like a charm!

He is knowledgeable and entertaining and all the individual food experiences/tastings were a good selection of traditional local treats and delicious food crafted by very talented local producers. We thoroughly enjoyed the food tour and all the fantastic shopping opportunities on the walk. We have been to Bordeaux before but discovered new areas, shops and foods that we had missed on previous visits. Historical sites and stories as you sample local delicacies. Just go. You won’t be disappointed!!

This engaging food tour was our perfect introduction to Bordeaux. Aurélien was exceptionally personable & had impressive language skills. He shared his extensive knowledge of the area’s history as he introduced us to wonderful local chocolates, cookies & pastries. Our favorite spot was the coffee stop which was unique, fun & memorable. At the end of the tour, we received recommendations for food & activities to enhance the remainder of our stay. We had a lovely relaxed afternoon drinking coffee & eating sweet treats! The latte art was the best part of the tour for us - interactive & fun, it was also great coffee in cafe Brazza. We also enjoyed the other pastry & chocolate stops - some shops were more enjoyable than others as the owners interacted with us more. Between each shop we were given lots of info on Bordeaux which was great to get & we really appreciated all the extra restaurant & cafe tips. Would recommend this tour!

What a wonderful afternoon with Aurelio! He was so knowledgeable, sweet, and entertaining. We learned a lot about the history of the area and sampled some first rate chocolate, pastries and cappuccino. I’m not a fan of coffee, so the barista made me an Iced white chocolate drink with cinnamon that hit the spot on this hot day. I would highly recommend this tour!

Aurélien is a pleasent person with a big knowledge of the City. The Late-Art was fun and the food was delicious. It's a really good way to get to know the City.

A gentle ramble around the beautiful city of Bordeaux with our friendly and personable guide Aurélien. The tour was bilingual French/English to cater for everyone. Aurélien delivered some fascinating and unusual facts and had clearly done his homework. The folder with historical illustrations of the city was a very nice touch and helped you to see how the city has changed over the centuries. Along the way, we each had a go at making a heart shape on a cappuccino (it’s harder than it looks!) and sampled some of the local specialty foods (with added commentary about their origins). Overall, a very enjoyable experience. My only comment, maybe 3 hours is a little bit too long. However, I would thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone. Merci beaucoup Aurélien!

Being from Bordeaux, we learned a lot during the historic tour of the city. We enjoyed the creative activity at café brazza and taste the different specialties some of which were new to us. When friends were visiting Bordeaux, we chose to try the afternoon visit to Délicieux! Food Tours, and we loved it!! Aurélien, our guide, is clearly passionate and his humor won us all over! Originally from Bordeaux myself, I was surprised to learn so many new things about my hometown! The visit is perfectly balanced between the exploration of Bordeaux and its history and the numerous gourmet stops. We also loved learning latte art, I highly recommend!

We had a great time as a family. Aurélien really adapts to his group! We were lucky enough to have him all to ourselves and he knew how to adapt his comments to our teenagers!
