Reef Discovery Private Full Day Lagoon Tour & Water Lunch

We went out three weeks ago with Fabian and Arii whale watching booked through the Four Seasons. This was the most magical experience of our lives, #1 on the bucket list! After 3 hours with no luck someone saw the blow on the otherside of the island. Fabian booked the boat out to the cut and there was a lone male whale. We had one shot to swim with him and when we got in the water Arii helped guide us to the perfect spot. We were able to witness this gentle giant breach about 20 feet infront of us while in the water. It was a once in a lifetime moment and was the absolute most special, magical moment of our honeymoon. Thank you Fabian and Arii for such an incredible moment! We hope to be back one day! Jenna & Jesse 🤙

We just returned from our second trip with reef Discovery! We had the same guide we had 9 years ago. He was just as amazing as he was then! Fabiane took us to all the best places for snorkeling, especially on a day when the ocean was rough. He knew just where to go. We had a wonderful day, a really special time on their private Motu for lunch, It was an OMG day ....money well spent!

We had our best day in bora bora with this private tour. Fabien is very professional and fun! We saw lots of manta, eagle ray, turtle, stingray, shark and tropical fish. The water lunch is epic!

We were 6 couples traveling together. We had 2 boats on october 13th, 2025, because the maximun capacity of each boat is for 8 guest. Our guides were Fabien and I do not remeber the name of the other guy, but both of them were super friendly and super attentive. The boats looks new, clean and very good manteined. We took the option for a full day tour They picked us up at the pier of our hotel (the Intercontinental Thalasso, which is amazing as well), and at the begining we went to snorkel and swim with the stingrays and the small sharks of the reef (they are inofensive), which was and unforgetable experience, then we went to, swim and snorkel to the reef with thousand of fishes plenty of colors, which was an marvellous experience as well. But the best part was to have lunch in a private Motu (island), literally inside the water, with a lot of fishes, small stingsrays arround us, and some baby shaks as well. The food was a DELICIOUS buffet, very fresh and great variety of local dishes. The guides took great care of us all the time and during the lunch. They served us red and white wines, champagne, beers, water and soft drinks. By far, this is one of the most memeorable experience for our lives time, it was really AMAZING!!!!! At the end of the lunch, the guides took us back to our hotel to rest for 2 hours, and then, they came back to pick us up for a Sunset evening with champagne. One of the boats playaed music, so we sang and dance at the boats enjoying the beautiful sunset of Bora Bora. 2 hours later, they drove us the our hotel, and we all of us felt plenty of happines. This tour is amazing, the service of Reef Discovery is exeptional, and the guides very funny, attentive and so kind. WE HIGLY RECOMENT REEF DISCOVERY for a Half or Full day at Bora Bora, and do not miss the lunch at the Motu inside the water, you will rember it forever.

Our second time with Fabian and this company… Love everything about it! We snorkeled in 4 different spots and had lunch on a private island with baby sharks and sting rays all around us. Don’t look anywhere else, if you are looking for a pair ate tour, this is it!

Such an amazing experience! We snorkeled in four different places. My favorite part was the Coral Gardens. Our guides were very professional. It ended with an incredible private lunch, sitting in the water amongst beautiful fish and friendly sharks. It was a dream! I highly recommend!!

This was an incredible experience! Our guide Pierre was friendly, knowledgeable, and an overall great host. It was hands down the best snorkeling we have done in all our travels. Thanks to Pierre’s expertise we were able to see sting, manta, and eagle rays, swim with multiple black tipped reef sharks, and experience the many fish and growth in Coral Gardens. Pierre made us feel safe and made sure we got to see it all! The private lunch did not disappoint. It was a feast of local flavors served right among the fish Overall a GREAT excursion!

This could be the worlds best tour activity. Firstly, the 25 foot Chapparal boat is a delight to cruise on. My fiancé and I were nervous as it was our first snorkelling experience. Fabien, our captain, was very experienced and very supportive of both of us and his seamanship and knowledge of the local waters was exceptional in difficult conditions. The snorkelling was incredible with an incredible breadth of marine life observed in multiple locations. Finally, lunch was sublime with a beautiful three course meal and great company as Fabien joined us and we got to further understand the amazing culture of this beautiful place. This is an experience of a lifetime.

Best tour we have ever been on and this was our 10th trip to Bora Bora. Fabien made our day so special and I could just tell how much he loves to show off his beautiful country. I absolutely love dolphins and I couldn’t believe we were greeted with dolphins right before lunch. Stop looking at just book with them and ask for Fabien!

I had hesitated to book this excursion because it was the most expensive one we did, but it was worth every penny! The boat was great, very comfortable. Our guide, Fabien, was excellent. I would highly recommend him and we plan to request him again the next time we visit Bora Bora. We were able to see manta rays, sting rays, eagle rays, reef sharks, eels, sea horses, dolphins, etc. The lunch completely exceeded my expectations and rivaled the meals we had at the Four Seasons. It wasn't just a little something thrown together, it was a complete feast laid out in the most beautiful way complete with choice of wine/champagne. The place we ate was totally private and eating with your feet in the water while the fish swim around you (we even saw a baby reef shark) was just an unbelievable experience. If you're thinking about it, just book it. It will be worth the incredible memories.

The lunch at the private Motu at the tables placed directly in the water was the highlight. You basically is docked at the private little island and can eat all this delicious ((-)though mostly already cold) food. There was bbq meats but they were pre-grilled and cold though that doesn't take away from the experience and more of a note to organizers. There was also a variety of fruit, wine and beer and whole lotta privacy on the island. we felt like it was our island and we could do whatever we wanted. Our cap was Hero and he took us to about 4 spots for snorkeling where we saw Manta Reys, Black Tips, Stingrays along with tons of other tropical fish. Highly recommend this tour.

Here’s my story: When my wife and I traveled to Bora Bora we were very much looking forward to this excursion. Every single day it called for rain, and every day it was sunny, EXCEPT for the day of this tour. It was POURING. I mean really pouring. Raining sideways. We walk down to the dock, and started asking our tour guide Fabien if we should just stay at the resort. He assures us that we will still be able to see plenty of sights in the reef. We made it out to the first spot, soaked from the rain, freezing and miserable. We really weren’t sure about this, until we jumped in the water, and we never looked back! It was a spectacular experience. We saw manta rays, sting rays, eagle rays, sharks, and had an incredible experience viewing all kinds of fish and moray eels. Then we went to the private island, and had a delicious lunch, with TONS of delicious, freshly prepared local cuisine, and of course wine. Fabien was incredibly knowledgeable, super talented at his job, and a great entertainer. Definitely a jokester! Would highly recommend this excursion, and Fabien if you’re able.

We did the Reef discovery private full day lagoon with moto lunch(not water lunch). We had an amazing day. It was by far our favorite day in Bora Bora. We saw all kinds of sea life including manta rays, eagle rays, sharks and octopus. Fabian was our guide and he was nothing short of fabulous. The lunch was delicious! It was an expensive day but well worth every dollar. Don't miss this excursion.

We did the water lunch with Yael and had an amazing experience! He was an incredible source of knowledge about Bora Bora and the motus. The lunch was fantastic food and of course unbelievable views with the table out in the water looking out over beautiful turquoise waters towards the main island. We would highly recommend Yael and the water lunch to anyone!

We loved the private snorkeling tour with Yael! We were beginner snorkelers with little previous experience, and Yael did a great job working with our skill level and took us to awesome spots where we saw beautiful Coral, lots of fishes, sting-ray and best of all - sharks! This your was the highlight of our Bora Bora trip. This is a must do, highly recommend!

We had Hiro as our guide, and he was great. We saw lots of beautiful fish and had the best time. It was a great excursion to get you out of your hotel and onto the water.

We had Vehi as our guide and he was terrific. Very informative as to what we were observing. We hit some very interesting spots. Seeing the Eagle Rays swim underneath us was amazing. The coral garden toward the end was very crowded, however is worth the stop. Some of the most beautiful coral I have ever seen. Interacting with the Manta Rays was fun. It's amazing how soft they are as they run up against you. If you go, ask for Vehi. He is the best!

We stayed at the St.Regis and our tour guide picked us up and dropped us back at our hotel via boat, I still can't believe my eyes, we saw the most amazing reef more colourful than the great barrier reef, a pack of eagle rays swimming together and just had the most amazing experience thanks to Hiro. We can't wait to come back and do this tour again.

We were looking for a last minute snorkeling tour on Christmas Eve and Pure Snorkeling was so friendly and accommodating and was able to book us on an private afternoon snorkel trip that same day. Aro was our guide and he was so much fun and very knowledgable. His love for Bora Bora was obvious and very infectious. Not only did he take us to all the great snorkeling spots (where he showed us eagle rays, sting rays, nemo, and was even able to show us two stonefish and a seahorse) he also gave us a great tour of the island and local culture from the boat and finished it with preparing us a delicious snack at the end. Highly recommend this tour - the snorkeling was amazing and the service was incredible.

I highly recommend snorkeling with Reef Discovery if you are going to visit Bora Bora. This was definitely the highlight of our trip. We were celebrating our engagement here and decided to do the excursion, which was set up through our hotel. Reef Discovery is a private vendor so you could also reach out to them on your own. Our guide, Vehi couldn't be more pleasant. He took us to 4 different spots to snorkel, one more beautiful than the next. We saw all variations of stingrays and tropical fish. We lucked out being just the two of us, we were anticipating another couple joining, so it wound up being a super private and luxurious experience. Everything was supplied to us including towels and a snack. I had to use the bathroom and Vehi even made a stop for us. He also had a go pro and after the trip sent me photos and a video of us underwater. What an awesome surprise! This was such a memorable experience. Thank you Vehi!

Vehi was our tour guide for the private snorkeling tour and was the most knowledgeable tour guide of our entire trip! I highly recommend taking this tour during your trip to Bora Bora and encourage you to request Vehi as your guide!

I went with Nui, my guide, and I had an incredible good time. We saw sharks, three different kind of manta rays, and hundreds of small fishes !!! I really had fun with Nui !!!! Highly recommended !! Jaime

On the occasion of my wife's birthday we booked a Private Whale watching tour on October 4. We soon realized that we had made the right choice to book Puresnorkeling. Fabien and his partner found us a beautiful male whale within 15 minutes! Together with Fabien we entered the water and swam with the whale for an HOUR. We were lucky enough to find a male who was calling almost constantly. GREAT!!!!!! As icing on the cake, he also found a mother whale with her young on the way back. Again, we were able to swim for more than half an hour a few meters from the animals and witnessed the intense bond between mother and calf. A very overwhelming and poignant experience that has definitely made our trip to Bora Bora even more memorable! Thank you Fabien and William !!!!!!! You are SUPER!!!! Carla and Rafael

We spent the afternoon on a private tour, which allowed us to discover the multitude of fish and corals that populate the Bora Bora lagoon and realize our dream of swimming with a manta ray! At the bends of another spot, three blacktip sharks joined us, pure happiness! All in perfect safety and good humor. The warm Welcoming, simple and clear explanations about the lagoon ecosystem and the stories and legends of the Ancients who accompanied us enchanted this tour of the island!

Beautiful ride with Vehi who is certainly a great connoisseur of the Bora lagoon, both as captain of the boat and as a safe and accurate guide of marine and underwater wonders such as manta rays... and a very kind and friendly person! We greatly appreciated that it guides us in the water too, with natural and exquisite kindness. Fantastic snorkeling with Fabien the best bora guide! Dolphin dance, singing humpback whale, mantas and leopard, but also a perfect knowledge of corals of all kinds, a passionate who made us love bora and its phenomenal nature.
