Reef Discovery Luxury Private Snorkeling Lagoon Tour

We had the best half day private snorkeling tour with Fabien. It was windy and so he took us to a different spot to see the Manta Rays -- incredible! We then swam with sting rays and eagle rays. He gave us a wonderful tour around the island and we ended at the coral gardens where he pointed out various clams, fish, and even sea horses! The boat was perfect and immaculate. Fabien brought out the snacks and water at just the right time. We will definitely book again and ask for Fabien :)

This is the best way to snorkel in Bora Bora! No waiting and a personal guide to show you interesting things IN the water. If areas are crowded, you can go to a more secluded spot. The Coral Gardens are AMAZING! Life changing experience to see so many beautiful fish in one stop.

We went to Bora Bora with the goal of swimming with manta rays, which I had never seen. Mana was our guide and it was a joy to spend half a day with him on this private tour. He was very prompt and waiting at the dock of our hotel. Our travel agent recommended this company in part because they do not feed the fish for the tourists, but are respectful of the marine life and their natural habitat. It was not easy to find the manta rays on the day we went out, but Mana was persistent in taking us to three spots in the search. Three was a charm and we were able to snorkel above three elegant manta rays. He took pictures underwater and was able to identify the mantas by name. We also went to two other reef areas for snorkeling and enjoyed an abundance of tropical fish and beautiful coral in the crystal clear, calm, turquoise water of the lagoon. Beyond my expectations! The boat was very comfortable and it was great to have Mana swim with us. I was also very appreciative of his taking photos and sending them to us. I highly recommend this tour company and Mana. We have never had a private snorkeling tour and it is truly a joy. PS In reading these reviews, I learned that there are schools of eagle rays, so I will have to come back in search of these!

Fabian was the most amazing tour guide— our first snorkeling trip was so wonderful, that we went out with him a second time in the same week! He is truly the best. We saw manta rays, eagle rays, octopus, sharks… not to mention thousands of beautiful fish, astounding coral, sea cucumbers, etc. Cannot recommend Fabian and Reef Discovery more; we’ll remember this trip forever.

My wife and I did the 1/2 day private snorkeling tour with Reef Discovery in Bora Bora. Our boat captain, Arii, picked us up at our resort right on time and we spent four hours exploring the area and snorkeling in 4 different places. We saw beautiful coral gardens, large manta rays, schools of eagle rays and hundreds of amazing tropical fish too numerous to count. Arii was great - personable, spoke perfect English and very knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife. It was a memorable outing and well worth the cost.

Very enjoyable half day of snorkeling in 3 different areas. We saw eagle and manta rays, a turtle, an eel, ref sharks and masses of gorgeous tropical fish. The Coral Gardens reef is spectacular.

Pierre was wonderful, he taught us...helped in every way, so we had the best experience. This is truly an experience of a lifetime.

My husband and I booked a full day snorkel & lunch charter and were lucky enough to have Tau as our captain/guide! He made the experience memorable and fun, we learned a lot and enjoyed every moment! Highly recommend this experience, we saw so much marine life and the lunch was delicious!

Our private boat ride experience was nothing short of extraordinary! From start to finish, it was an unforgettable journey filled with breath taking snorkeling. Mana and Nui were incredibly professional and attentive, ensuring every detail was taken care of, making us feel like true VIP's. The boat itself was immaculate and comfortable. Mana & Nui took us to 4 spots that were stunning, while also snorkeling with us to point out underwater fish we wouldn't have seen on our own. We saw a variety of stunning fish, eels, mana rays, eagle rays, and more. Thank you Mana and Nui for helping us capture the highlight of our trip. Definitely a great last day on Bora Bora.

We did the private snorkeling lagoon tour with Mana as our guide and could not have been happier. Given all the great reviews on TripAdvisor, the bar was set very high and Reef Discovery delivered. When there weren’t any manta rays at the first stop, Mana took us to a backup location, and we were able to get a close up snorkel with one. We then went snorkeling in some shallow coral that we had all to ourselves and followed that up with finding what had to be a group of 50 to 60 eagle rays all swimming together. We were doing the snorkel as part of my wife’s birthday and she had mentioned she was hoping to see some sharks. Well, after not seeing any and thinking our trip was up, Mana starts driving the boat to a location just inside the outer reef. He stops the boat and within a minute there are 6-7 blacktip reef sharks circling the boat. Not another boat to be seen! My wife and I jump in with our snorkel gear and have the experience of a lifetime. Cannot thank the reef discovery team enough or Mana enough for the great experience! Would 100% recommend them and a must do in Bora Bora!

INCREDIBLE!!!!!!! SO INCREDIBLY AMAZING that we went out on Sunday and we booked to go out AGAIN Friday. I’ve been to Bora Bora a couple times before and have always had a wonderful experience on the tours - BUT this tour was over the top PERFECT!!! The luxury boat was SO nice, our captain impressed us with all of the places he took us snorkeling and we stopped at 4 different spots!!! Highly recommend booking a private tour for 3 hours with this company. It is a little pricy but how many times will you visit Bora Bora!!!!

This was the best snorkeling we have ever done! Our guide, Fabien, was AWESOME! He showed us all around the lagoon, and he was great with our 8 year old son. Highly recommend this for anyone!

This was the best tour ever and worth its money! Fabien is is so funny and super experienced had showed us not only the best spots in the lagoon including the aquarium, an additional spot to see many sharks (we had 4 different spots in total) he also snorkeled with us to see all fishes which we would not have seen without him. The boat was a real luxury not with all amenities! I can only recommend booking with reef discovery! Very well organized. Good snorkel equipment. Pick up from our hotels included.

Aro was the best guide ever! We had the best snorkeling experience ever and he gave us the tour of our dreams. Huge manta rays, sharks, eels, seahorse, and so much more. He even went in with us to show us the wildlife first hand. We also got to hear about local history and the lagoon. Ended the day with some local snacks and drinks which was very nice after snorkeling. He even made me this purse (pictured) out of leaves from the trees at his home.Highly recommend using this company and booking your tour with ARO!

By far the best excursion and snorkeling we did while traveling through Bora Bora and nearby islands. Our guide, Fabian, was phenomenal! He was an expert at finding sea life and super kind and thoughtful. We got to snorkel with manta rays, eagle rays, and sharks galore! He also took us to amazing places which were away from the crowds and we got to spend loads of time with beautiful coral and fish. Could not recommend more highly!

We recently visited Bora Bora to celebrate my dad's 80th birthday and we booked a private snorkel cruise with Reef Discovery. Our guide, William, was really knowledgeable, friendly and very fun. He took us to all of the best snorkeling spots around the lagoon where saw Manta Rays, Spotted Eagle Rays, Black Tipped Reef Sharks, Sting Rays, so much coral and tropical fish. We had a wonderful day with William and can't wait to visit Bora Bora again.

We had TWO great days with Reef Discovery exploring the beautiful water. The six of us loved the manta rays, the beautiful coral and the fish! The boat is clean and well equipped with quality snorkel equipment, towels and drinks/snacks. One person in our party had not snorkeled before and they went out of their way to ensure that she was comfortable in the water. We enjoyed our day so much, that we booked a second private tour! Highly recommended!
