Reef Discovery Half Day Group Signature Tour

This was an amazing excursion! Our guide, Mana, was timely and selective. He put us on top of both manta rays and then eagle rays at the perfect moment (without tons of other boats/people around) before he led us snorkeling through a vibrant coral garden. Afterward he took the less wavy path around the bay, gave us great views of Bora Bora, stopped for photos, played the uke and sang...If only he could've tamed the wind. LOL. This is a must do excursion!

Our guide was fantastic. She was very plugged-in with other guides and they shared information, so we knew where the aquatic activity was. She was an expert at handling the boat safely and efficiently. We saw manta rays, sting rays, reef sharks and a wide array of fish. It was all amazing! The route we took brought us all the way around the island in the lagoon, providing a stunning perspective of the island that we were not even expecting. Highly recommended!

I wanted to love this more. The coral gardens were fantastic but our guide didn’t really teach us anything about the fish or coral. It may have been a language problem because he seemed to be chatting freely in French but not so much in English. It sadly just didn’t compare with our Moorea tour experience. It was fun to see the eagle rays and manta as well. But I might recommend another company for this one.

Aro is an amazing guide! He is funny and knowledgeable. He knew exactly where the manta and eagle rays were and also swam with us through the corals. He gave local knowledge and also showed respect to the environment. He has a great energy and would highly recommend booking this snorkelling tour, and especially with Aro.

This excursion was phenomenal. We were picked up at our resort and within 20 minutes were in the water snorkeling. This was by far one of the most amazing wildlife encounters I’ve ever had. We swam with a group of 7 manta rays cruising through the cleaning station. Then we swam at the coral gardens and saw beautiful healthy coral and reef fish. We finished the tour after finding a pod of 60 eagle rays soaring through the ocean. It was mind blowing and amazing. Drinks, towels and snorkel gear were provided. Thank you for a wonderful memory!

Niko, our guide, was very friendly and engaging. . The lagoon tour was amazing and we had the opportunity to see mantas and different kind of fishes. Beverages were included, and providing beach towels was a very thoughtful touch.

We took the private lagoon tour with Aro, and it was an amazing way to spend the last day of our honeymoon. Aro was able to find manta rays, sharks, eagle rays, and tons of other stuff we wanted to see before we left Bora Bora. He was super knowledgeable about the area and seemed to know everyone we passed on other boats! Then we had an incredible private lunch with our feet in the water on a Small Motu. It was just an amazing time!

Had the absolute best morning with Ume as captain and guide. First swam with two manta rays - one giant female and a smaller male. Then snorkeled over 28 eagle rays that were majestic. Finally, snorkeled through the coral garden at Motu Tane which was amazing- saw lots of unique sea life.

This was the last excursion as part of our honeymoon trip and it was AMAING! Fabien was so knowledgeable, he knew exactly when and where to take us for the best experience! He found a group of just over 60 stingray and where we came so close with a Manta ray, it was an incredible experience! Would absolutely recommend this tour!

This is our third time doing the snorkel tour with Reef Discovery. We enjoyed the amazing marine life - we got to see our favorite mantas, lots of eagle rays, an octopus, and beautiful corals. Mana was a great guide and hospitable. Thank you for the wonderful time and we’ll definitely be back!

Spent 3 weeks in the South Pacific and this was one of our favorite excursions. The knowledgeable guide stopped at three beautiful locations, and we were able to see all of the marine life we had hope to and more. Between the coral garden, large pods of dolphins, the manta ray feeding station, schools of eagle rays we were in heaven. The guide was fantastic with my children and was a wealth of knowledge.

This excursion was a highlight of our trip! Not only did we snorkel with manta rays, eel rays, and swim with beautiful fish in a coral garden, but we learned about the reef and the island of Bora Bora. Our guide was helpful, knowledgeable and overall made it a fun experience.

Fabian was fantastic! We saw ocean creatures at every stop. That may not always happen, but he did wonderful and brought a great sense of humor to our tour. Would definitely recommend.

One of the best snorkeling experiences I had while staying in French Polynesia for 3 weeks with my wife. Fabien did not waste time getting us to the best places to snorkel before the crowds got there. He even surprised us with a bonus site to see black-tip sharks at the end of our trip. Great day and great guide - she was very nice and supportive. The boat was great and only 6 people which was very nice! She tracked with her other teams where 16 Eagle Rays were swimming togethers. Also took us to amazing coral reef! Highly recommend.

We took our kids for a treasure hunt snorkel tour with Reef Discovery as our children were both into treasure boxes. It was arranged by our hotel so we weren’t 100% certain what to expect but it exceeded our expectations. Mana was a wonderful guide who was so patient with the kids, our 3 year old started off snorkeling then mid snorkel decided she wanted to go back to the boat. Mana was so flexible with our schedule and needs. We snorkeled the coral garden, swam with the manta rays then proceeded to an exclusive Island where a treasure box and keys were hidden for the kids to discover! They were soooooo excited when they finally discovered it, so much that they wanted the to keep the whole chest with the keys 🤣. My son and daughter both expressed interest in driving the boat, Mana was so kind and let them do it on a straight away. They also provided us with soft drinks, juice, water and snacks (fruit plate and coconut bread)! I would definitely recommend it and do it again, in fact my kids asked today if we could go on the treasure hunt again.

This was a wonderful experience. Everyone must see the coral gardens. Nothing is better than this. Fabien was excellent and took us to three different places. We saw so much on this day and it was so exciting. Fabien was so welcoming and made our experience a once in a lifetime.

I couldn’t have asked for a better tour and guide! Fabien was amazing and knew exactly where the best spots were. We started off swimming with manta ray, then sharks, eagle rays and the coral garden with the most amazing coral and fish. The trip was finished with a Motu beach picnic. Fish and sting rays swam around our feet while we had the best meal ever! My only concern is I won’t be able to wow my kids anymore after this! Thank you Fabien!!!

Excellent tour. Our guide Noe was so informative and helpful. We learned a lot from Noe. We saw plenty of colorful fish, coral, and the highlight: a huge manta ray which followed us for several minutes. You won’t be disappointed if you take this tour.

Our guide did a great job both handling the boat and assisting our small group in getting their gear on. They go to 3 dive sites and they delivered what we came to see. Manta rays, Spotted eagle rays and more coral than we have ever seen. It was a great trip and having a small group really made it the best. We will definitely use them again next time we come to Bora Bora

Our first excursion of trip. Picked up and resort by nice speed boat, with 6 other guests. Our guide Mana was fantastic.... We loved that we got to snorkel with Manta rays and the swimming through the coral gardens was beautiful....however this tour seemed more corporate, stopping at sights with a number of other boats already in area competing for the views...traveled around entire island...soft drinks were provided.

We had great success in spotting Manta and Eagle rays during our trip. Snorkel gear was in good condition and it was easy to get back into the boat from the water via ladder. Our guide stopped periodically to point out island landmarks, features and historical points switching easily between English and French to accommodate all 8 guests on board. We did have to walk about 0.75 miles for our pick up and drop off; this was no problem in the morning, but in the heat and sun of high noon we definitely could have benefitted from a drop off closer to our accommodations.

We spent the morning on Fabien's boat and it was the best ever boat excursion experience of our life. The boat itself was a 12 people -boat, with plenty of space for 8 people and Fabien. We had great time snorkeling with manta rays, sharks and drifting in the reef. At each stop Fabien accompanied us and gave us detailed and pro information. When it was time at noon to leave the boat, we were all super excited and 😁. Thank you Fabien for your professionalism and kindness. You managed a group in 3 languages with attention to every need and patience

We had an amazing experience! Noe, our guide, was extremely helpful - The other two groups spoke French, but he made sure to translate all the instructions clearly in English and point things out to us in English as well. The group size was five people, so it felt very personal and special. We got to see Mantas, which was a main reason for booking this tour, as well as eagle rays! We also swam through an incredible coral garden with hundreds of fish. Our guide pointed out fish we totally would have missed, including a puffer fish that became a highlight for me! This was a huge standout for us during our trip and I would highly recommend for those looking to see rays especially.

He shared fascinating insights throughout the tour and knew exactly where to go to maximize every moment. He went above and beyond to make sure everyone in our group had the best possible experience. From helping less experienced swimmers feel comfortable to keeping things light and entertaining, he struck the perfect balance. What really stood out to me personally was how he stepped in to help with my kiddos, which gave me the chance to fully enjoy the water and take in everything around me. And wow, the wildlife! We saw manta rays, blacktip sharks, eagle rays, and stingrays up close, along with tons of vibrant fish and coral. It felt like swimming in a real-life aquarium. Amazing day with Mana in Bora Bora, swam with the Manta rays and Eagle rays. Beautiful trip to the Coral Gardens and then snorkeling in an area with lots of fish. Mana made the trip really special as he was so helpful with my wife and the current and worked really hard for us to see and do everything. Got to see a huge Manta Ray right off the boat! What a beautiful place! This is a great tour and we highly recommend!

What a superb day spent with Fabian who was a wonderful host. Lucky to be just the 2 of us...perhaps the others were uncertain of the weather, but Fabian didn't seem bothered, so we were not either. He was knowledgeable and fun and clearly personally loves and cares for the coral gardens we visited. My husband and I visited the Manta Rays, and swam solo with a family of eagle rays...one came under us and we saw an entire universe on her back...and lastly we visited one of the beautiful coral gardens with Fabien...so many friendly fish and a few sharks. The sea life of Bora Bora is magic!

We booked the Reef Discovery 1/2 day Signature Lagoon Tour for my big birthday on March 16, 2026. We did it as a private tour for eight of us. Everything was fantastic from the boat to the stops to our wonderful Captain/Guide, Mana! We first snorkeled with Manta Rays, next stop was swimming with Eagle Rays, we then went to their “semi-private” reef snorkel spot and finished with a fabulous sand bar experience with views of Mt. Otemanu. Mana guided us on our reef snorkeling tour which was absolutely stunning. The clearest water I have ever experienced snorkeling all over the world. Beautiful coral, small blue clams and abundance of fish. The final stop was relaxing on a sand bar area in shallow baby blue water with views of Mt. Otemanu. We ate snacks, had beverages and danced in the ocean as Mana serenaded us on the Ukelele. Really one of the best tours we have very had! HIGHLY texcomwd this tour of the Bora Bora lagoon!

Incredible trip seeing manta rays, eagle rays, stingrays, coral and fish. Our fantastic guide Manu found 50+ rays for us to see. He led us individually through the narrow passages of the coral garden to ensure we all saw everything. He also gave us a great overview of the geology of Bora Bora.
