What an exceptional day! We did a lot of tours during our three-week trip, but our day with Lagoon Service was easily our favourite. The weather was perfect and the whole experience was magical. We relaxed in the boom netting as we cruised around Bora Bora and stopped at several fantastic snorkelling locations, where we swam with stingrays, blacktip reef sharks and an incredible variety of colourful fish. Lunch on the private motu was a real highlight. A table had been beautifully decorated and set up in the water for us, and we ate with fish and stingrays swimming around our feet. It was such a unique experience, and the food was absolutely delicious too. Everything about the day was wonderful. If we return to Bora Bora, we would book with Lagoon Service again without hesitation. An unforgettable experience and one of the absolute highlights of our holiday

We reserved private boat and tour guide Vatea was wonderful, happy, friendly, knowledgeable. It was the best day ever. We snorkeled at three different spots seeing sharks, rays ,fish and octopus . We had private lunch on private island, it was delicious. We left our mask on the boat and he returned it to the port so we could retrieve it, the staff was very helpful in helping us coordinate retrieving our mask. 5 star all the way. Vatea was the best driver and guide, he made the trip most memorable.
Stellar experience with our guide Henry!
This was by far the best excursion we experienced during our 9 day trip in French Polynesia. The locations they took us to were incredible and our guides were so much fun. The lunch was excellent too! Highly recommend!
We enjoyed this tour very much. The boat Captain picked us up on time in a nice boat.he played music and sang. Took us to three nice spots and seen many different types of marine life. We finished with a lunch on a Motu. The food was great and tables in the water watching the fish and rays as we ate. All the woman walked away with a flower crown.
Incredible day thanks to Aro. It exceeded expectations and felt like a once in a lifetime day. We swam with sharks, rays, and even a huge manta ray. If you’re traveling with a partner and can swing the private boat, highly recommend it — it was so special. Thank you Aro!!!
Our private lagoon adventure with lunch was spectacular! Our guide Toto is a funny guy and great to talk to. He was patient with getting us to do as much as we could with the weather changes. We enjoyed the snorkeling and the delicious lunch that Toto's friends prepared on our private island. Toto sang us some songs while we ate including "Bora Bora" a song his brother Rainui Atiu wrote! This is a must see tour with Toto!
We had such a great adventure with Mana and his boat! We stopped at the coral garden, swam with sharks and hugged sting rays. Along the way Mana serenaded us with his guitar. We were surrounded by beautiful blue waters. Lunch on the private island was fantastic - we loved the woven palm lunch plates! I would definitely recommend Lagoon Services.
Our guide Vatea was great. We booked the private tour and it was so worth it. He took us to some fun snorkeling places and played beautiful ukelele music and sang along. Although the weather wasn’t ideal (cloudy and choppy water), Vatea made sure we have a great time. The romantic lunch for two on the motu was so fun! Thank you Vatea.
Absolutely incredible tour with our guide, RAY! He was an amazing captain and guide. Food was also really delicious. Unforgettable experience to swim with rays and sharks! If you are thinking about doing this, just do it. You won’t be disappointed!
We had the most amazing time with Aro on our Cultural Lagoon Tour. He was so passionate about sharing his culture and made everyone feel at ease when snorkeling. Nothing was an issue. A trip to remember!!!
We booked a full day private charter. Traveling with our 6 and 8 year old children and didn't want to be with a bunch of honeymooners. Very happy we stayed with a private charter when we saw some of the other tours out there. Plus you really end up going at your own speed. Tau was our captain/guide and he was truly an amazing person. Really great with us and helped the kids with each of the snorkel spots. Rain knew all of the best spots, including a surprise visit to see a manta ray. Motu was also really cool, lots of hermit crabs on the island. Thank you Tau and team for making this an amazing excursion!
Truly an incredible experience with our local guide Koko! We were able to swim with 4 manta rays! Sting rays & reef sharks, plus the most beautiful coral garden. I’m a bit of a nervous swimmer but Koko brought a buoy that i could hold on to & made us feel at ease. He was the most wonderful guide as he explained us to about Polynesian culture & the sights around the island. Lunch was delicious too & on an island which felt so romantic & perfect for our honeymoon. Koko was also a fantastic singer & i’ll always remember our time in Bora Bora from the Bora Bora song he sang, my husband & I keep singing it now! Definitely book this tour!!
This was our favorite honeymoon excursion for our Bora Bora trip. I was attracted to this because of the details listed by the operator. We are snorkeling fans and have done some of the other tours around Bora Bora already. My wife has food allergies and I could tell by the posted details we wouldn't have any issues. When I booked we were assured those allergies could be accommodated. The tour itself was wonderful. Ronnie and Roberto were very engaging as hosts. We visited 3 different snorkel locations. We had a wonderful lunch. There was a lot of history and cultural information shared at many different places along the days tour. And with this being our 3rd different tour we still learned new things. I won't reveal the surprises of the tour, but they are what made this the best one for us. Thank you Ronnie and Roberto! (I bought a ukulele as soon as I got home😆)
The full day lagoon tour was simply amazing. We were lucky enough to have Ray as our captain/guide. He was so friendly, knowledgeable and overall a great person. On this tour you will get to see the island of Bora Bora from all angles and it is really interesting to see how much the topography changes as you circle the island. There were three different stops for snorkeling, two within the lagoon and one on the ocean side of the reef. The wildlife interactions were fantastics at all three stops. We happened to have a very calm day on the water which made swimming in the water quite easy. The lunch stop was beyond all expectations. Everything served was of exceptional quality, there was more than enough for my wife and myself and the setting was gorgeous. The demonstrations on the island after the lunch were also very interesting, and it helps to understand how the original habitants of the island were able to survive and build a life. In reality it explains how all tropical islands sustained habitants in the past. I don't want to ruin any surprises so I am intentionally being a big vague. Overall, I can not recommend this excursion enough, and it should be a #1 priority to do on your trip to Bora Bora.
Our captain and guide, Vatea, was the best! He made the experience so special, private, and unique. This was the perfect way to spend our 10th anniversary. We felt like we were on a one on one date on the Bachelor lol!
Absolutely our favorite excursion we did in Bora Bora, this was definitely worth the cost, our guide, Vatea was phenomenal, he taught us so much about the island history, the fish, coral, sharks etc. He taught us all about the coconut trees and showed us how to make crowns, shuck a coconut and many more things. He was so great with showing us the snorkeling hot spots and swimming with the reef sharks and stingrays. I was a little hesitant about getting in the water with sharks but Vatea was great at making me feel so comfortable that I got in and even kissed a stingray that he names Gigi! Highly recommend this to anyone wanting the experience of a lifetime seeing the beautiful bora bora!
This adventure was one of the highlights of our honeymoon in Bora Bora! Our boat trip took us all around the main island with stops along the way. We swam alongside black-tip sharks and stingrays, and we were able to snorkel through an incredible coral garden. To top it off, our delicious lunch was served beachside on a beautiful private island. Our captain, Mike, was amazing and deserves way more than five stars! He is knowledgeable and fun, and he truly made the day memorable. Thanks so much to Mike and Lagoon Service for a great experience!
The whole tour was amazing! We saw variety of tropical fishes, sharks & sting rays. Tour guide Manu was very friendly and helpful. After snorkeling in 4 sites, We had a fabulous private lunch in a private area on a motu. The food and wine were so delicious! After lunch, Manu provided us a local coconut show which was fantastic. We spent a unforgettable day with Manu and we will definitely go for this tour again if we have the chance to visit Bora Bora again!
Can’t believe I forgot to write them a review until now!! We visited Bora Bora last spring and had an amazing time with the private snorkeling tour. The guide was excellent and we had a full day or water adventures. The snorkeling was divine and we saw numerous animals. We also swam with the black tip sharks and sting rays in the wild. The private lunch was beyond delicious. All around a terrific experience. Thank you!!
We spent the day with Niko and had a once in a lifetime experience. Best part of our stay here. We swam with stingrays, spotted eagle rays and black tipped sharks! He serenaded us with ukulele and singing. He was very gentle with us as we were not super experienced snorkelers. He served us an amazing lunch and beverages. He made us things out of palm leaves. He gave us so much history about Bora-Bora and the area. He also told us everything you would ever want to know about coconuts and demonstrated how to choose, peel and eat them. You will be so glad you took this trip!
Mike and Manu were top-notch captains, guides, and musicians as we toured Bora Bora by boat. The sharks, rays, and reef are not to be missed, but the tour company matters. The hospitality and overall experience with Lagoon Service can't be beat!
Best experience I have ever had. Wonderful! I have traveled all overthe world and this was the best place I have ever been at. Maui (name of the guide; not the Hawaiian island) and his sister made the experience even better: genuine, kind individuals! Will have that memory for the rest of my life! Extremely grateful and worth every penny!
We booked the private lagoon boat tour with shark and stingray snorkeling and lunch on motu. We were picked up by our guide Rainui (the best and we’ll get to that) at our Four Seasons dock. He cheerfully greeted us and placed our belongings carefully on the boat. Once we began, he explained what we should expect as we journey around the island. He’s very proud of his culture so he’s knowledgeable and shared very good information with us. He also said if he’s talking too much, just let him know and he won’t be offended at all. We were totally fine with him explaining. I also asked him if we could stop at Matira beach for a couple of minutes to get a drone shot since our resorts had drone restrictions. He gladly anchored the boat and gave me plenty of time to shoot. Our first spot was stingray snorkeling. One specific female stingray loves him. I forgot her name though. She always waits for him. As soon as we arrived, she started swimming around and when he jumped in the water, she was just swimming all over him. It was like seeing a puppy finally meeting its owner after a long day. He taught us about the stingrays and explained to us how they take care of them. Since it was a private tour, we got to swim with the stingrays so closely for the whole time. After that we went out of the lagoon into the ocean side. We told Rainui my wife has extreme motion sickness so he took that into consideration and was very careful with his maneuvering into the ocean and she had no problem! Once we got out of the lagoon, we got to the shark snorkeling area. It was filled with black tip reef shark (about 4 ft long average). There I was able to fly the drone again and had time to snorkel. There were tons of shark! No need to be afraid because these sharks are more afraid of us than we are afraid of them. I admit I was a little scared when I first experienced shark snorkeling. We headed back to lagoon and towards the coral garden. Once we got there, there were so many colorful corals. Rainui led us around the garden slowly so we can see the fish, corals, clams, and everything else that were living there. He explained to us how easy it is for us to damage/kill corals but how difficult it is to grow/revive them. He showed us a coral he and his uncle planted 15 years ago and how much (or little) it grew. That really put into perspective how corals have been damaged throughout the ocean and haven’t been revived enough since then. Sad, but gave us more motivation to be mindful about the ocean and the nature. We were headed towards the motu (small island) where we would have our private lunch. But not so fast! During the boat ride, Rainui told us about his uncle who is the owner of Lagoon Services. He lives on his own island with 12 dogs! We talked about how my wife loves dogs. It wasn’t part of the itinerary but Rainui took us to his uncle’s island! We actually met the uncle there and saw his twelve dogs running around and swimming in the ocean. Not done yet! The uncle said to wait as we were leaving. He was just baking fresh coconut bread and he gave us some to eat. OMG this was the best coconut bread we ever had. Every coconut bread we had after that, didn’t compare. OK now it’s time for lunch, for real. We got to the motu with a table set in the shallow water with all the food prepared for us. Rainui explained every single dish and how to eat using the plate made out of coconut leaves. The food was the bomb! There were grilled chicken, beef, and fish, along with various kinds of Tahitian bread, rice salad, vegetable salad, and various fruits. Juice, water, oh and yes, beer and wine. The quantity was more than enough for the two of us. And the quality? Idk why they don’t have any Michelin stars. Nothing beats eating delicious food with our feet in cool lagoon water, tiny fish swimming all around, stingrays and sharks come and go, the view of Mt. Otemanu right behind turquoise blue water, all the while Rainui singing and playing his ukulele. Rainui, if you're reading this, parahata YOU ARE AWESOME! If you're reading this to figure out your Bora Bora activity, you should've booked it 5 minutes ago!
captain was amazing and caring fun, energic, singing, laughing ,talking to fish lunch was amazing one of the best experiences on our life score 11 out of 10 in this tour we had private photographer to take nice shot under water. very highly recommend
Everything was wonderful thanks to the colors of the lagoon, the lunch, and the guide who showed us many things, but the requested experience was in Italian; I had found an excursion that cost even less but didn't have an Italian guide, so I preferred to do it with Lagoon service because they were the only ones to specifically ask me on the site which language I preferred and I reported Italian, having paid more I don't expect to find an English or French guide, at this point I believe that the language request is just a bait-and-switch…… and I fell for it!
An unforgettable moment with TEMO and his team. Mauruuru to everyone! really go for it with your eyes closed!
One of the most beautiful days of our Polynesian adventure with Mana as our guide, whom we thank 15527 times, which is the distance we traveled to come…. Thank you! I recommend this activity 6 stars out of 5! Thank you 🙏
Beautiful tour, just a pity about the not-so-good weather (mostly overcast and there was even a brief drizzle), otherwise it would have been fantastic. Since the weather is unpredictable and it often rains even during the "dry" season, consider whether it is really worth spending a large amount with the risk of encountering bad weather. The tour operator is blameless; they were very good and everything was well organized.
We had a wonderful day! The spots were perfect and our guide Vatea made this day magical with his songs, Polynesian anecdotes, and his kindness to the whole family. The meal was great quality! We highly recommend.
Fantastic day in music, bravo guys you are top!!!
Super guide Manna 👌, very nice, explains everything and takes his time, magnificent visit of sharks offshore , rays and sharks with. Little depth , coral garden letting itself be worn top . Then meal on the motu to finish very good, feet in the water with fish👍,colors of blue to comic more in fi🌟🏆Mauruuru
Unforgettable day, everything perfect, from snorkeling to food, great and plentiful. Staff attentive to customer needs. Thank you all wonderful day
We had an absolutely magical day thanks to Lagoon Service and especially our guide Roberto, exceptional attention and kindness. The departure was made directly from the pontoon of our hotel, a real luxury! First step: the coral garden, where we enjoyed a privileged moment among multicolored fish. Then, head to the area of the pastenague rays for an incredible encounter, then the Pacific to swim with sharks — a breathtaking experience, always safely thanks to Roberto. Lunch on a private motu was simply idyllic: meals with feet in the water, accompanied by a curious skate and some fish. We were even treated to a coconut opening demonstration and an introduction to palm leaf weaving. Roberto then took us back to the hotel, stars full of eyes. A perfect excursion from start to finish, which we recommend without hesitation! Thank you again Roberto for an unforgettable day.
Unforgettable excursion. Beautiful coral garden but especially the stops to rays and swimming with sharks. Lunch is also spectacular on the tables in the water, with fish and rays swimming between your legs and sharks a few meters away. Great food. Taamu and Rudo, our guides, were very nice and accompanied us in snorkeling. Also, after lunch we had a very funny demonstration with Aro on how to open a coconut. That day we were lucky and we also saw whales a few dozen meters away. Also interesting to tour the island with explanation of the various points and Resort on the motu. Probably the best hike we did in the 2 weeks spent in Polynesia!
We had the chance to be accompanied by a boat captain named Mana Clément who knew how to liven up our beautiful day with humor and intelligence, making us discover all the best places of the Bora-Bora lagoon! The good weather was there , the dolphins , the rays , the blacktip sharks were also present ... we were very lucky on each spot discovered, but also a companion who perfectly mastered the environment of which he is a native , as well as interesting historical anecdotes. Perfect welcome by Mana , her kindness and humor delighted our beautiful day in this wonderful lagoon. He showed us what we expected from such a day.
Great day with Crazy Maui. We left with images in our eyes and had the pleasure of chatting with Crazy Maui
Exceptional excursion thanks to our guide Maui known as “Tarzan”, his good humor, his funny and inimitable character and his mastery of the Tahitian ukulele. We swam with black tip sharks, rays (one of which you could kiss) and clouds of colorful fish, an unforgettable memory.
A top team! A real little moment of musical happiness seasoned with humor and music. Roberto was a real ray of sunshine who told his island like no other. In addition, lunch was very good. THANKS
What can I say... we went to Bora Bora as a family of 6 and we chose Lagoon Service to discover the lagoon... Certainly the best day of our lives... Manu did everything to make this day the most beautiful . Between song in the canoe, snorkeling stop, excellent meal on the private motu, dancing with the ray Juliette and so on... What more can I say... We were in paradise.. So thank you MANU!! A big kiss from “Mom”, Anaïs (the little one), Nicolas & Romain (the coconut breakers), Julien (the reporter for social networks) and Lionel!!
Thanks to Mike for sharing his island, music and passion! Thanks to his lover Juliette, the pastenague ray, for the unique experience. Great team, dynamic and joyful, it was a great day and we ate well!! Diane and Thomas
Our Polynesian guide, with a kindness and patience accompanied us all day by making us discover his island....an unforgettable memory....L EXCURSION N°1 to do on Bora Bora
