Private Bora Bora Lagoon Experience

We had the best day EVER!!! Our guide, Teiva, was absolutely incredible, kind and very knowledgeable about the island. We wanted to swim with the Manta Rays and snorkel the coral garden and he made sure we had the best experience in both places. He also took us to see hundreds of spinner dolphins - we watched them play and swim along side our boat. I was nervous to get close to the rays and he stayed by my side, guiding and even offering a float for assistance until the fear factor subsided. I can’t say enough good things about him and our experience. This was a top ten day ever for us. Thank you, Teiva!!!!! We will remember you always.

A various satisfying activity. We’ve seen many fishes, but swimming with shark and rays is an exceptional experience.

We had such an amazing half day with Captain Ken! We snorkelled with manta rays, sharks, and rays, and Ken even spotted a turtle. We also visited the colourful coral gardens and did a complete circumnavigation of the island. We did the private tour and felt it was great value for money - especially when we saw the crowds on the other boats. 10/10 would recommend

The best money I have ever spent on an excursion! If snorkeling with sharks and rays is on your bucket list, this is the tour to take in Bora Bora. Our captain Ken, was accommodating of all our needs ensuring that we had a fabulous time!

We loved Captain Glen! He took very good care of us in the water and told us great stories.

We had an amazing snorkeling experience with "Tupuna" (Alphonso). We asked to see Manta Rays and within 5 minutes at the location he knew, we saw them and they swam around us. He gave us a lot of history about the island, took us to places with very few other people and was extremely animated and entertaining. Definitely worth the cost!

The captain is very good, but the company didn't treat us fairly. A day before the trip they told us that there was an issue and provided us two other alternate dates and times. We came with a cruise ship and stayed in Bora Bora for a day only. I told them neither option could fit our schedule and so I asked for a refund. Other tours provided by the cruise were filling up rapidly. Any normal human would look for a substitute. After I signed up for anther tour with the cruise, the company sent a message around 4:00 PM on the same day, saying that it was OK to start the tour at the same time. I told them I had already signed up for another tour, but they said there would not be any refund, because I didn't "cancel" (In the previous message I did ask for a refund, which implies cancellation). At the end I asked the company to cut the tour short so that we had enough time to join the tour provided by the cruise ship. If the original tour could not be provided and you need to figure out what to do the next day, would you wait until 4 or 5 PM? What if all other options are no longer available? Does the word "refund" entail "cancellation"? If you look for a reliable and fair company, DO NOT go for this one.

Stephanie Saves the Day! I had booked a pontoon rental a year in advance and nagged my husband to remember to bring his boat license. It was to be our most amazing excursion. When we arrived, Stephanie, one of the office managers, told me very gently that our reservations were for the following day and all the pontoon rentals were booked. Tears ensued and Stephanie made some calls and arranged for us to take the "Champagne boat" guided tour, which did not cost much more than a private rental. It worked out great. Our fabulous Captain Alphonse and shared his love and knowledge of his island, took us to multiple snorkeling spots, and even played the ukulele for us. We saw so much more than if we had taken a boat out ourselves. Shout out to Marina tender Ari, nice to char under the trees while waiting for boat. We are so grateful for the save!

It was great! We got picked up from the hotel and hit all the main spots. We managed to swim with tiger rays, sting rays, manta rays, sharks and many fishes. The snorkeling in the corals was the easiest in my life. You just float and enjoy the beautiful fishes. My wife was pregnant and our guide was extremely careful while driving and he drove her very close to all the animals so she didn’t have to swim that much. He was very kind and thoughtful towards her.

We chartered the Champagne boat for a private excursion. Ken, the captain and 1 man crew, was excellent! He was in the water swimming with us, making sure we were safe and showing us things we might have missed like I love Bora Bora heart on the sea floor. He had fish swarming us and photo bombing every picture. He was playing with sharks and redirecting them if they got too close. He went to find a Manta Ray after just missing seeing a pair of them. He would always position the boat properly. He was about safety and then fun. He offered us soft drinks, cleared cans; offered towels, cleared towels. Everything was clean, comfortable and fun. We loved his music and he shared so much about his island. He provided a true VIP service. Thank you!!

We had an amazing private snorkeling trip. The captain was incredibly kind and attentive, especially to our 4-year-old. He was always helping, watching out for our child, and making sure we felt safe and comfortable the entire time. It really allowed us to relax and enjoy the experience. Highly recommend!

We were visiting on the cruise ship and had previously booked an excursion for this day through the ship. While looking on trip advisor I saw it would cost the same amount of money to hire a private boat. So cancelled and rebooked this tour. What an absolutely amazing tour we had. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable. He took us straight to the best snorkelling spot with no one else there yet. One of the best snorkelling spots I had ever been to. He took us around the whole island stopping off 3 times to o snorkelling with the sharks and rays. Also advising us on which parts are best to stay on island etc. He was very funny and sang a song for my niece We were picked up from the vaitape dock, promptly on time and dropped back at same spot. The boat was clean, spacious with shade and in excellent working order. I'm sorry I have forgotten our tour guides name but I would highly recommend this company.

It is an amazing tour. We snorkled and saw beautiful coral, many fish, black eagle rays and swam with sharks! Our captain knew where to go to see everything! Amazing day!

We had a fantastic excursion swimming with manta rays, eagle rays, storm g rays, sharks, and the most beautiful coral we have ever seen. Tina, our guide asked what we wanted to see and knew just where to take us. We had a truly magical day!

Had a great trip going all around Bora Bora by boat. Our guide took us to some great snorkel stops. The corral garden he took us to was fantastic. Highly recommend this tour.

OMG! What an amazing experience. My husband and I did a private boat charter and got to visit several snorkel spots with our captain Tupuna. We saw vibrant young, live coral, TONS of fish, eagle rays, sting rays, swam with sharks. One of the best experiences of our lives!! Highly recommend La Plage.

Our guide Tipuna was fantastic! I would ask for him again if we ever go again. He took care of us the whole time and made sure we got to see all the things that were important to us. I highly recommend this tour!

Fantastic experience all the way around! My husband had injured himself the day before so he was unable to swim. Our guide was so helpful! He made sure that we were still able to experience the beauty of Bora Bora! I swam with sharks and rays and our guide dove in when we passed a large turtle and brought him to the side of the boat for us to meet! The turtle wasn’t happy, but we were thrilled and enjoyed watching him scurry off into that beautiful sea green water. We hovered above some incredible coral beds and found a large school of black manta rays. But as beautiful as this island is, it was our guide who made it so special! How many captains would serenade you on his ukulele one minute and share stories of his decades on Bora Bora the next? Thank you for a fantastic experience that we’ll never forget!

What a beautiful afternoon with sunshine, sharks, stingrays, fish galore, and colourful coral. Our boat captain was Arii. He was super easy-going and informative - very nice! Swimming and snorkeling all over the lagoon was amazing. We had the best time of our lives! The lagoon is so beautiful it could possibly bring tears to your eyes.

Great experience! Everybody in the family loved it! The captain took us to a few great places to snorkel and helped us find fishes. The view is amazing! We had a great time with our kids!

Great tour! Went to the must see spots and some lesser known spots. The captains know how the animals move with the current and position you to snorkel with them. Saw mantra ray, eagle ray, black tip shark, sting ray, and many fish.

Ken our Captain was awesome. Probably the best snorkeling I have ever done. Very special day for my wife on her birthday! The Sharks and Stingrays were awesome!

What a treat! Malaki was our guide. Prompt pick up and then off to the coral garden. He was friendly, a great communicator and patient as we navigated gear and boat. Then it was off to see the rays - eagle and then manta. Next it was black tipped reef sharks and more rays. Then another coral garden to round the trip. The time flew by. It was great fun. Highly recommend!

It is very relaxing enjoyable experience. Very friendly and experienced tour guide. HE took us around the whole island which was a long time maybe 2 hours, but great way to see all of bora bora. Fast boat lots of wind, be sure to be prepared with sunscreen and bring drinks.

Tito was a great guide. He shared his knowledge of the island and the animals. He was professional and also very fun. He let us spend plenty of time in the water. The boat was clean and comfortable. We highly recommend this 3 hour tour/snorkel trip.

This was an amazing tour! Our guide brought us to several remote areas free from the public tours so it was just us snorkeling in the water! And we definitely saw things that we did not see during our public tours!! Highly recommend a private tour with La Plaga!!

Thank you Ken!! You helped make this day unforgettable! Ken asked exactly what we wanted to do and took us to the places we wanted to go. I'm not a very strong swimmer, and Ken made sure to always help me back to the boat when I got tired.

I booked this because my husband and I were not super comfortable with snorkeling but Ken made us feel so comfortable that we ended up swimming with stingrays, sharks and eagle rays. He even led us through a huge coral reef with colorful fish everywhere. Absolutely perfect.

This was a great tour!! Ken was the best!! He took us to feed sharks and rays. Also took us to a coral garden and it was fabulous!! Then we were able to tour the entire island!! Ken was so nice and a great guide!!

The tour and captain were both excellent. Captain was funny, engaged and is a local so knew all the spots. Never made us feel like time mattered. Sang and played ukulele. Swam with sharks, sting ray, snorkeled with corals. Truly one of the best tours ever.

Best day ever. Glen was the BEST guide, had the best snorkeling and boating experience we could ask for, must do it again!!

We arrived a bit late due to our tender delay, but , Captain Glen was there to meet us in his orange boat. There was a tad bit of confusion as our directions said to "meet " the captain at the dock. We didn't know if he was arriving by vehicle or boat. We asked the lady who worked in the tourist office and she said to wait for a truck. One of our party members roamed around the dock and finally found Glen at the far end in his boat. After boarding, we had a most fantastic morning on the boat just the 4 of us! The coral gardens were our favorite!!! We also enjoyed swimming with the sharks and rays. We stopped to see a huge group of eagle rays lastly. Fun and enjoyable trip in the lagoon. Book this, you won't be disappointed.

What a great adventure today with Captain Glenn and La Plage Tours! We have 2 kids on the younger side. Captain Glenn made them feel safe and showed us the magic of the lagoon. Snorkled in the coral garden, swam with sharks and sting rays, and had a brief visit with the manta rays. We learned about Polynesian culture and history and even enjoyed Captain Glenns ukulele and singing! (He knows all the hits) The boat was new and in great shape. The tour picked us up and dropped us off on time. 5 stars are hardly enough.

He was an AMAZING tour guide!!! We wanted to see things and move quickly. He took us to swim with the sharks, stingrays, manta rays, AND eagle rays. We snorkeled and saw the most beautiful fish and coral reefs. Is five stars the highest I can go?!?

This private tour was excellent. We needed a transfer from the st Regis to the Conrad and decided to go with a private tour along with it. Ken was great he first took us to see the eagle rays and we snorkeled with a school of them. Then he took us to what they call the aquarium where the I love bora bora sign is in the ocean which was great see a lot of different fish. Then went to the bora bora beach club for a quick cocktail and beer and finished with some snorkeling with the black tip sharks. I would highly recommend. This was the highlight of our trip

Outstanding morning of snorkeling with Ken! We especially liked that he guided the way through the coral garden by swimming with us. Loved the variety of fish there and the chance to see black tip sharks, manta rays, and eagle rays at various stops.

Captain Alex provided the most amazing tour! We went to world class snorkel spots, saw manta ray, eagle rays, sting rays and swam with tons of reef sharks! Loved the local knowledge of the island from Captain Alex. Having our own guide and boat was a wonderful experience. We didn’t do the water lunch but wish we had…the spot near the coral gardens was so beautiful! Highly recommend to all!

What an experience!!! Ken was our guide and our first stop did not disappoint. We were surrounded by black tip sharks and loved every minute of it. We also saw sting rays, and a few other fish. It was a rough day water wise, so he took us on a boat tour around the island. Bora Bora is so beautiful. Ken was knowledgable and kind. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

We had an absolute blast!Ken was an amazing captain! He was so fun to br with! Wr all shared some laughs, he answered all our questions, & best of all showed us all the amazing highlughts of this jewel of an island! He even helped me succumb my fear of the deeper areas and literally became my 1 on 1 guide. It was just an all around once in a lifetime experience! We can't wait to come back next time! We saw so maby sharks, stingrays, & colorful fish and he fed them also! Loved every second!

Teiva, our captain, provided us with an unforgettable experience. We were able to snorkel with giant manta rays, a family of eagle rays, stingrays, blacktip sharks, and fish in a beautiful coral garden. The manta rays were the highlight of the trip and easily the size of our entire boat. We were lucky that at all locations we were near only one other small group, despite traveling during peak season. Teiva was incredibly skilled and able to find the rays easily from the boat. Very thankful to see Bora Bora's marine life and the extra cost of the excursion was well worth it.
