My husband and I are visiting Bora Bora for our honeymoon, and while everything has been incredible, our private 6 hour tour with SAM (the most incredible captain AND chef) tops the list. Not only did we swim with Manta Rays in multiple locations (three at one time at our first stop!!), but we also swam through the coral gardens, glided alongside Eagle Rays, and walked amongst black tipped reef sharks and stingrays. Sam even introduced us to the most friendly Moray Eel (a new favorite animal, even though they look spooky). After the water adventures and beautiful tour, Sam made us the most DELICIOUS meal on a private island. My husband and I keep saying it's been the best meal of our trip, and we've been to quite a few authentic and fine dining restaurants while here. THANK YOU, SAM! You made our day out so special. We will never forget this experience, and it's all thanks to you. If I could write 10 more paragraphs about how amazing you are, I would! To anyone wondering if they should book this excursion, the resounding answer is YES (and see if Sam is available - you won't regret it)!

We had an amazing private boat tour with Captain Marama! The snorkeling spots were stunning, and the whole day felt relaxed and perfectly planned. The highlight was stopping at a private island for a fresh, delicious lunch such a special experience. Marama was incredibly friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He made us feel completely at ease, shared great insights about the area, and clearly takes pride in creating a memorable experience. Everything ran smoothly thanks to his attention to detail. If you come to bora bora, this is a must! Especially with Marama as your captain! Highly recommend!

My wife and I went a private excursion and our captain’s name was Sam. Sam was incredible as he went the extra mile. We saw five manta rays, in three locations, we saw about 10-12 black-tip reef sharks, a string ray that would circle us and allow us to pet the animal as it swam by us. Lastly, we swam near four eagle rays. Sam was great to explain some of the history of Bora Bora. He also went the extra mile and ensured our safety at each location. We would highly recommend someone looking for their own experience and Sam is the captain to select for a great day in the lagoon at Bora Bora.

We took a private 3-hour snorkel tour with Moana Adventure Tours and had the best experience! Our guide Tane was friendly, accommodating, and made sure my wife and I felt safe the entire time. He guided us through the coral garden, helped us maximize our time, and even stopped a bit so we can watch our surprise dolphin visitors. We loved his energy and are truly grateful for him. highly recommend this tour!

What an incredible experience! This was one of the top highlights of our honeymoon. Our guide, Captain T, picked us up directly from our hotel and kindly provided us with snorkeling equipment, cold beverages, and hilarious jokes. In a 3 hour tour, we swam with sharks, stingrays, and manta rays, and explored the beautiful coral gardens. Can't recommend this tour enough.

We booked 4h private boat and had a chance to do a tour of the island, stopping 4 times for amazing snorkeling. Highly recommend it , our captain was the best.

We had the most amazing time with Jean!! He showed us all the places, took us to the nicest spots and we got to see manta rays, sharks, sting rays eagle rays coral garden and beautiful clear water spots as well as some time for fishing. We had an absolutely amazing time! Nicholson was fantastic. We swam with sharks and stingrays, snorkeled through a beautiful reef teeming with fish, and even got to swim alongside eagle rays. Overall, it was an unforgettable day!

Super chill, relaxing, peaceful, enjoyable, and memorable experience with Niko. He picked us up from our resort's main dock a few minutes early. Then, he took us around the island, on a super nice boat, looking for sharks, rays, turtles, and dolphins. We encountered some sharks and rays and were able to get out of the boat in shallow water to swim with them. Then, Niko found another area with a huge group of stingrays. We were able to get out, use the snorkel gear, provided by Niko at no additional cost, swim/snorkel around, and take some great photos and videos. After that, Niko took us to the coral gardens where we were able to snorkel and take some awesome photos/videos of beautiful underwater plant and animal wildlife. Whenever we came out of the water, we could hear Niko strumming on his ukulele and singing. What an awesome vibe in & out of the water. Niko is very chill, cool, friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He took us to super cool spots and made excellent use of our time together. Would definitely do this activity again.

We rented a Private Cap Camarat 17ft for 5 hours, and the experience was great! Our Captain, Tarepa, was a knowledgeable and friendly guide. We had plenty of time at each spot, and he guided the tour based on our interests. We snorkeled with Sharks + Rays, went to two coral gardens, saw a large school of eagle rays, went close to a Motu to feel the interesting algae/sand mix, and even attempted to see a manta ray. Tarepa was upbeat and kind the whole way through. The boat was well stocked with a cooler with drinks (soft drinks, water, juices). He made my mom and I feel very welcomed! We would definitely book this tour again. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful trip. Sam arrived before the time, made sure we felt safe in the boat. Took us to beautiful places, swam with sharks and stingrays. I am not a strong swimmer Sam took care of me, made sure I was comfortable. Went to the most beautiful coral reef. Again Sam made sure I felt safe and swam with me. Would do it again.

If you come to Bora Bora and dont do this i think your really missing out. We had an incredible experience with our driver who unfortunately i cannot remember the name of :( he took to snorkel with sharks and sting rays, we even saw a massive manta ray that was very rare, he took us on a tour of the coral reef, took to a beautiful swim spot, provided us with beverages, and just overall gave us an experience we will never forget. Thank you so much!!!

The whole time on the lagoon was awesome with Rumi (sp.?) She was so fun, engaging, and informative. She got us to the shark and stingray site before other boats. We snorkeled on the coral gardens. She was my guide. Explained how destructive Crown of Thorns were. We looked for Mantas in 2 areas, She finally found one in the 3rd. Great eyesight!! We chatted and laughed about many things and aspects of Bora Bora and its culture. Loved it All!

Great snorkeling despite the pouring rain. Saw lots of sharks and rays at first spot and the coral garden had a wonderful assortment of fish. Our guide Terry was knowledgeable and fun. Our boat broke down but a replacement quickly arrived while we snorkeled. Would love to go again.

Will was awesome. Swam with us in the coral gardens and showed us different types of fish (sea horse, sea-cucumbers, sharks, rays, and colorful tropical fish).. My wife and I had a fantastic experience with Captain Tarepa ( Capt “Jack Sparrow”). He was very informative and gave us a great time. The original snorkel site we visited was pretty rough with high wave swells from the wind, so he took us immediately to another site which was very beautiful with reefs and aquatic life. He then took us to another place with shallow water and extremely soft sand which was so beautiful. We never felt rushed and Captain Tarepa did a marvelous job for our entire trip. Awesome experience.

This private boat ride was our favorite part of visiting Bora Bora, and 100% worth the cost! Our guide, Will, took us to some of the most breathtaking spots, where we got to snorkel with manta rays, eagle rays, sharks, sting rays, and more. Plus, he was a wealth of information and answered all of our questions about the history of the islands and details about the lifestyle, which we were fascinated by. I'd highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a customized tour of Bora Bora - don't forget to ask for Will - he's the best!

We booked a 3h private boat tour with Sam H. We got us snorkeling with ray and sharks, it was amazing. Sam H showed us all the best spots to see in 3 hours and we got to see the animals from so close. We enjoyed every moment of it !

I can’t say enough good things about Moana Tours and our Captain Rumahei! She was just fabulous! She changed up our agenda to accommodate us. We are not big snorkelers so she took all the shallow areas where could just enjoy the views. We swam with the sting rays and sharks and we went to a beautiful sandbar where it was just us and no one else around. It was just beautiful. My wife uses walking sticks to get around and she helped when ever she can. Can’t say enough good things about Rumahei! Book this excursion!

Sam at Moana Adventure Tours gave us a Perfect last day in Bora Bora. We started the morning by swimming with 60 eagle rays, then got to see several manta rays, went to a Coral garden in the North that was beautiful with crystal clear water, then took us to a natural swimming pool which was incredible and we had it all to ourselves, and then we ended by swimming with about 20 sharks and stingrays. Sam was awesome. So knowledgeable of the water and Bora Bora. He was always making sure we were okay and went above and beyond the whole day to give us the best excursion we could ask for. The boat was comfortable for two people. You could tell Sam really loves what he does and takes pride in his work. If you were only doing one tour in Bora Bora, I would definitely do this. The amount we got to see, with the individualized attention, and price could not be beat. If we ever go back to Bora Bora we will definitely call Sam and Moana adventure tours!

Sam was a great guide. We had previously been out on another boat and he took us to other places so we could experience other areas of Bora Bora. Sam loves his island home and his laugh is contagious when he finds that one unique find for you to experience with him....Moray eels, Eagle rays (50+), Manta Ray and.....a nurse shark sleeping under coral. Very generous and thoughtful tourist guide.

Ruma was fantastic! She took us to 3 unique spots to swim and enjoy amazing views. This excursion was so special-the highlight of our trip.

We booked this to minimize contact in Covid times bit Better than expected. We thought we just boat around the island and snorkel a few spots. Will was our guide and assured is sharks ok. Our first stop we only used our reef shoes and snorkel gear to see the sharks and sting rays. We could stand in the water. 2nd trip was to the “aquarium” where Will actualy pulled us on life saver with our snorkeling gear and pointed sea life to us. Last trip was woth sharks ans more of them on a site that clearer than the first. Will had mask and fins but we brought our own. Excellent tour and will recommend. We out of shape. Mauruuru Roa to Will formthe tour and help.

Our expert and super friendly guide, Maui, took us to three gorgeous spots during our 2-hour private tour of the island, reefs and lagoon. As novice boaters and snorklers, we got to experience everything the group tours do but on our schedule and to our comfort level. We saw the most amazing ocean life, swam with sharks, petted sting rays and had a swim/waded in babysoft sand-bottomed turqoise waters while being serenaded by Maui and his ukelele.

The group tour was fully booked so we took a chance to pay a little more for a private tour and I can say unreservedly it was worth every penny. We snorkeled with sharks, stingrays, eagle rays and a multitude of colorful fish but the highlight was swimming with a manta ray. Amazing. Our guide (Sam) knew the area well, took us to great spots, provided juice, water, and fresh fruit and a lot of great commentary and information. We’ve been on a lot of dives and snorkel trips over the years and have seen lots of great marine wildlife, but this was the best. Groups have to wait for the whole group to move along, with the private tour we could see so much more in the same amount of time. The boat and equipment was clean and well maintained, too.

We had the most incredible afternoon with Glenn Tama on the Cap Camarat that we rented for a private cruise. He was so knowledgeable and took us to the best spots in the lagoon, while telling us all about the history of Bora Bora and let us glimpse into the real Polynesian culture. It was an amazing day and the highlight of our trip to Bora Bora. Thank you Glenn for an unforgettable experience!! We will be back!

We spent the morning on a boat on a private tour with Nicholson and it was just incredible! We took a tour of the island's must-see spots! Nicho was super welcoming even though my husband wasn't super comfortable in the water! He accompanied us, helped us, and provided great equipment for snorkeling! He was also completely attentive to each of our different desires! He had plenty of great anecdotes and was fascinating to listen to! I 100% recommend this tour with Moana Adventures! We enjoyed it! Tane was a great captain listening to our desires! We saw leopard ray pastenague shark and were able to snorkel in 3 different coral gardens. We ate on a private motu , it’s more expensive than a shared excursion but worth it if you can put the price!

We left the day with Tarepa for a visit to the Bora Bora lagoon and we had a great time. Tarepa gave us explanations and took us to the points of interest of the lagoon. A very nice day when we took full eyes.

We sailed with TANE who found us the leopard rays a magnificent spectacle of several dozen rays Visit coral gardens with a multitude of fish and a meal on a motu; delicious prepared and served with great kindness. The meal feet in the water on a nice decorated table accompanied by a bottle of champagne we were delighted thank you for a beautiful day

It is absolutely to do, 4 hours in private, you choose what you prefer and your Guide takes you, the setting is breathtaking, the coral garden, the rays and sharks at the rendezvous, everything was beautiful. Private “honeymoon” boat with Tarepa as captain, a real delight. Stops in coral gardens, with rays and black-tipped sharks, manta rays. Lunch on a private motu, champagne for dessert and a tour of the superb lagoon with all its shades of blue. I recommend 100% for the seriousness of the team and the kindness of Tarepa who was "very attentive" to us during the 6 hours that we did not see pass.

A superb stroll in the waters of the Bora Bora lagoon. Tarepa was amazing. He even took care of our 3 year old son who fell asleep in the boat. Fish of all kinds, corals of all colors, translucent water, rays, sharks. Everything was perfect ! Thank you Tarepa!
