Luxury Private Full Day Tour & Motu Lunch In Bora-bora

This was our best experience in Bora Bora! We did a full day private tour with lunch at the motu, and it was absolutely incredible. We swam with a giant manta ray, reef sharks, and through a coral garden. The motu is gorgeous and lunch was delicious. Our guide Ray made the day so special - the best energy and sense of humor.

We had an absolutely unforgettable experience on the Lagoon Service Bora Bora Private Full Day Tour. Every stop was incredible and felt like something out of a dream. We started by swimming with majestic manta rays, followed by a stop where we got up close with sting rays and black tip reef sharks. Next, we visited beautiful coral gardens filled with colorful tropical fish and even spotted a moray eel. Our final snorkeling stop in the open ocean was amazing, with dozens of black tip reef sharks swimming all around us. Lunch on the private motu was outstanding. The food was delicious, and it was surreal eating while fish, sting rays, and black tip reef sharks swam in the crystal clear water just steps away. We also enjoyed a fun and informative coconut demonstration that added a great cultural touch to the day. A huge thank you to our guide, Bobby, who made the entire experience exceptional. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure every part of the day was enjoyable and memorable. If you're visiting Bora Bora, this tour is an absolute must do. It was one of the highlights of our honeymoon and an experience we'll never forget.

Strong warning: I would not recommend Lagoon Service Bora Bora. Do not book this tour unless you are a very strong swimmer and comfortable swimming against current. If you struggle, you may be yelled at, talked down to, and accused of standing on the reef instead of being helped respectfully. The snorkel gear they provided was terrible. Do not use their gear unless you want to swallow a massive amount of seawater. Bad equipment made the snorkeling much harder and more stressful than it should have been. The captain’s attitude was the worst part of the day. His tone was condescending, and he kept accusing people of standing on the reef when they were clearly struggling with the current and the bad snorkel gear. Instead of feeling safe and supported, the experience became mentally exhausting. To be fair, the sharks were amazing, the group size was good, and the motu lunch with the coconut show was enjoyable. I also tipped because he helped pull non-swimmers through the coral garden. But the coral garden itself was one of the least impressive parts of the tour, and you can see similar or better coral in other places, especially Fiji. Overall, the good parts did not make up for the bad equipment and the captain’s attitude. This was not a relaxing or enjoyable lagoon tour. It was stressful, uncomfortable, and disappointing. Would I do Lagoon Service again? Absolutely not. Would I recommend it to anyone? Hell no. There are much better Bora Bora lagoon tours where you can feel safe, respected, and actually enjoy the day.

What an incredible day in Bora Bora with Captain Vatea. We swam with sharks, stingrays, spotted eagle rays, octopus, and so much more. The highlight was stopping at a private motu for lunch while sharks and rays cruised around our feet in crystal-clear water. An experience we’ll never forget. One of the best organized service. pick at 4 seasons resort. Very attentive and caring staff took care of group from 6 yo to 76 yo. Saw tons of sea life with little effort.

Our day with Lagoon Services and our guide Vatea was hands down the most magical snorkel experience I’ve ever had. From start to finish, it felt like something out of a dream. We explored the coral gardens, swam alongside sharks (bucket list moment!), and ended with the most peaceful, surreal time with stingrays. Every stop was more incredible than the last—but what truly made the day unforgettable was Vatea. He wasn’t just a guide—he became part of the experience. So warm, so friendly, and genuinely joyful to be around. At one point he played and sang beautiful songs on his ukulele, which honestly felt like the perfect soundtrack to paradise. And then… lunch. I don’t even know how to describe it other than WOW. Fresh, delicious, and made with so much care—it was the kind of meal you remember long after the trip is over. If you’re even thinking about booking a lagoon tour, do it—and ask for Vatea. This wasn’t just a tour, it was a memory we’ll carry forever. 🌊💙

Our full-day private lagoon tour started out in rough winds and driving rain, but conditions improved as the day went on and our guide made the most of it and bypassed dangerous conditions at the peak of the passing squall. He was a local Polynesian guide who was kind, funny, and genuinely warm. We went to a few of the normal snorkel spots, got up close with stingrays several times, and saw plenty of the big bucket-list wildlife we’d hoped for. It does appear that this company feeds some of the animals (debarbed rays, reef fish, and a few other regulars at the motu) which makes for easy viewing, though it’s worth knowing if you prefer completely natural encounters. Lunch on the motu was outstanding. We were served what felt like our body weight in tuna along with other delicious dishes, and the vegetarian and even vegan options were surprisingly good. That said, the motu isn’t exactly a secluded private island setup. It’s more of a shared company island with a tiny central kitchen and multiple boats docking throughout the day. When we arrived at what was meant to be our dedicated area, a family with a small child was already sitting there, and a few other groups came and went from the same dock to enjoy the reef sharks and food-conditioned rays. If I had to nitpick, I’d call it a semi-private area, to be accurate. Not a black mark, just a clarification. Overall, the day turned out better than expected once the weather cleared, and our guide’s easygoing energy and humor made for a lovely day.

We had a wonderful day with Aro. He took us all around the lagoon to experience the best snorkeling my wife and I had ever seen. Was so accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable that I would recommend him to anyone. The full day tour was also well worth it - there’s so many great things to see. The lunch was fantastic and both the food and scenery were second to none.

When asked which activity was our favorite, we both agreed that it was the private lagoon tour with our awesome guide Aro. He got us to swim with sharks and 2 graceful manta rays, have an unforgettable motu lunch, and go home with a wonderful handmade bag. So worth it!

We had the BEST day with Ray on a private tour with lunch! He took us to fabulous snorkel sites and told us lots of Tahitian history. We had so many places to ourselves without crowds. What a great experience and the lunch was delicious with a ukulele serenade by Ray, who is also a great singer! If you can, book this tour!

This was a trip of our dreams. The snorkeling was amazing as was the traditional lunch on the motu, but even better was Captain Mike. He's not only a skilled and personable guide, but a true ambassador for your company and French Polynesia! Mauru'uru

Anniversary trip to Bora Bora looking for a day activity that included snorkeling and food. Looked at a lot of different options and finally decided to do this full day private tour. At the time of booking I thought the price was pretty high for a couple but it is a bucket list vacation so we went for it. The boat was on time and easy to find at the dock. Vatea our guide very friendly with a great sense of humor. In less than 20 minutes from leaving the dock we were snorkeling with sting rays and sharks. Conditions were windy but the boat cut through the water and was stable. The next spot put us into shark infested waters. I did not expect The Wife to get in at this location but Vatea jumped in with us and we had the most amazing experience snorkeling with the friendly black tipped reef sharks. Vatea also was able to take us around the lagoon put us on some beautiful corals which are amazing in person. The colors here are not captured well on camera. Lunch was plenty of food and high quality and tasty. The private hut on the Motu and the live ukulele music by Vatea was a nice touch. Vatea also took time to explain the palm tree and coconut and made a beautiful purse for The Wife. Looking back so happy that we decided to do this tour and now feel this was the best value for the experience.

Aro was amazing, he's nice and funny, he make us Gucci and LV bag lol. We are a group of 5 from China. We get to see.sharks and stringray during snorkeling.The best part of the trip is the food. It's the best food we have in Tahiti in this week.Love you Aro!

We booked the private full day lagoon tour. It included a full day’s boat tour including snorkeling with sharks and sting rays and viewing the coral reef in another location. It also included a romantic lunch on a private island. Our tour guide, Aro, made the tour absolutely amazing. Funny, entertaining, knowledgeable and hospitable. This was the absolute best “excursion” ever. Such amazing experiences and memories. Highly, highly recommend.

We had a tour with Vatea! It was our last day of our honeymoon and we had done multiple great excursions prior. But this one was the most memorable, revisiting some of our favorite spots and finding the manta ray we wanted to see so much before we left. He was great to talk to and a most excellent captain. We felt like part of his large extended family by the time we left. Thanks for the perfect ending to a great trip!

Arrow gave our tour; simply brilliant. He’s very hardworking, and goes the extra mile to make you feel welcome on his boat. If we ever get back to Bora Bora, we will be asking for Arrow to run our private lagoon snorkeling experience (and maybe we’d probably end up going with an even more exclusive option). This was the BEST private boat excursion I have ever done. Swam with sharks, snorkeled at amazing reefs with beautiful fish and eels, and ended up swimming with stingrays. Had a beautiful meal of fresh meats, rice, fruits and veggies on a small motu with our feet in the water. Our captain, Taaroa, was phenomenal. He sang and played his ukulele throughout the day and was engaging and entertaining. Taught us how to weave with palm fronds and taught us about Tahiti. Highly recommend him and this tour!!!

What an amazing experience we had!!!! Aro was the best tour guide. He was so much fun and shared a lot of information with us. I am not a swimmer and he was so helpful in taking care of me and always checked in to see how I was doing. The sights of the underwater adventure were nothing short of amazing and our lunch……oh my!!!!!! So delicious! Even the fish joined us for lunch. This is a must do when you visit Bora Bora and ask for Aro. You won’t be disappointed.

Best day of our lives. Our guide (Coco) was so professional and entertaining. We have seen lots of animals and made a whole circle around the insland, also went outside to see the sharks. The lunch was amazing, with an exeptional view. We chose to stay in a more affordable hotel on the main land and do activities instead of spending incredible amount of money only for accomodation. We experienced the exact view of bora bora like from the luxury hotels, and still it was way more cheaper.

Simply fabulous! Our guide, Aro, made sure our trip was fun, entertaining and informative, We had a blast swimming with sharks and the rays. The coral reef snorkeling was our favorite! Aro helped us get great action shots of eel, octopus, and more! The reef is stunning! Our lunch was excellent and the demonstration for making leaf plates, “Gucci and Louie” purses and shaving coconut was a plus! I highly recommend this excursion - and Aro!

Our private tour with Lagoon Services was excellent. We had a terrific time snorkeling in the different areas. The tour was personal and relaxing. Our guide was knowledgeable and helpful. The pick up at the resort was on time and the boat ride was smooth. They provided drinks, towels and all the snorkeling gears. Our 12 year old son had a blast! The motu lunch was amazing and sumptuous!!! They put out a whole spread for just our family and every item was delicious. Highly recommend their tours. Will definitely take other tours with them in the future.

We had an exceptional day from start to finish. The crossing to the beautiful little motu was superb and the setting was simply heavenly. The meal was delicious and the whole team was very kind, always smiling and helpful. Thank you all for this wonderful experience. We will keep a wonderful memory of this day!

Incredible day with Mick, our guide of the day with incredible kindness and sympathy. We were lulled throughout the day by the traditional songs he played us on the ukulele. Immersion at sea outside the lagoon with lots of black tip sharks, snorkeling lagoon with rays and black tips Diving in the giant aquarium, and finally, confidential meal alone in the world on a private motu... paradise day!!! We highly recommend this day private tour... not forgetting the incomparable landscapes

We were able to swim with blacktip sharks and rays. We also went to a beautiful coral garden where we had time to admire very beautiful fish and corals. We ended up with a very good meal on a motu and nice explanations about coconut especially in a very good atmosphere thanks to our super captain Taaroa and his sidekick Roberto. Taaora told us about her island and shared her values. A memorable day, thank you very much.

Unforgettable family day on a very comfortable boat, with incredible guide Rainui who told us the history of Polynesia and Bora Bora. The encounter with rays and sharks is fantastic. Lunch takes place in an idyllic setting, the buffet is quality.
