Malaki was a wonderful guide! He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and competent, and clearly loves what he does. We snorkeled in 3 spots, with sharks and rays, and through the most beautiful reef I've seen in decades. I'd rate this 10 stars!
We were able to snorkel in 3 different locations in Bora Bora. I was worried because my husband isn't so sure of being in the water. Well, our tour guide put him in a ring and personally pulled him over the sites so he wouldn't feel left out. It was very much appreciated!

This snorkeling tour was absolutely incredible! We were lucky enough to spot sharks, manta rays and countless colorful little fish underwater. Our captain was such a wonderful person — super friendly, hilarious, and he sang beautifully on the boat ride. It was an unforgettable experience, and I would highly recommend this tour to everyone. 5 stars without hesitation!
This tour was a bit too adventurous for me. I am a senior and not a great swimmer and it was difficult getting up the ladder (I slipped and got hurt) and it was extremely bumpy. Nevertheless, Taf made sure that I was able to enjoy the experience and lifted me up, attended to the cut on my hand expertly, and made sure I was comfortable in the water. As a result, I enjoyed the entire experience despite getting a little banged up.
Very awesome snorkel trip in Bora Bora. The coral gardens were so colorful and full of so many fish. Stingrays and reef sharks so fun to swim with. I have never seen this much in one morning.
We booked this on line as all tours off the ship were full - and we were glad we did. Only 2 other couples on the boat (the ship tours were crowded and much more expensive). Ramone was our captain /guide and he took us to several locations where we were able to snorkel seeing Rays, black tipped sharks and colourful fish among the coral. He also serenaded with a wide repertoire of ukulele and song which was fun. We had a great day and wouldn’t hesitate to book via this company again.
Coco was the best tour guide, super relaxed local who knew all the best spots to go, we had a great tour of the island, snorkelling with Sharks, Eagle Rays, Manta Rays and tropical fish. Was a brilliant half day out on the water - Thanks Coco!
We started with a briefing from the crew how was a marine biologist and very knowledgeable, then we travelled to snorkelling with manta rays and a cleaning station, which was mind blowing, then we travelled to a site and snorkelled with a group of eagle rays. Then we travelled outside the reef and watched black tip reef sharks, finally back inside the lagoon to a coral garden for a guided tour through stunning fish, coral and coloured clams. The crew were brilliant and supported by 10 year old son to participate then they gave us a brief tour of the lagoon on the way back to our hotel. Truly magical
It was an amazing experience. Ari our guide was an excellent guide and more importantly he kept everyone safe especially our youngest son. He made sure we all had a great time. We saw lots of sharks, rays and even a lot of dolphins and the most beautiful coral gardens.
It was half day tour in the afternoon, 1 hour short, boat was running too fast. Supposed to be 3 spots to see, but it was only two sights to see. Many fishes to see , but we got better experience in Moorea. Dozens of sting rays and sharks around us. String rays were around our hips and waist, can pat them so nicely. Coral garden is not bad, but I see better corals and variant fishes in Moorea. The tour guide sung many songs, he was a good singer. The boat is too bumpy and we had too rough ride. The attendant showed me how to snorkeling in the sea and it is extremely helpful. Iti s not bad but it could be better.itbis supposed to be from 1:00pm to 5:00pm, but the tour was cut one hour short, finished at 4:00pm. We wouldn't book it again in the future. This was a tour we booked for our cruise ship stop in Bora Bora in early June 2026. Malakai was our guide and boat captain and did a great job with both. He was very energetic, friendly, knowledgeable, and entertaining. He was a real life Maui from Moana, and took good care of us. On the tour, we stopped to snorkel and see sting rays and blacktip sharks. At another snorkeling stop, we saw beautiful coral. He also provided us with a boat tour around the island of Bora Bora showing us the airport and the various overwater bungalow locations. Throughout the tour he regaled us with several singing and ukulele performances. This was a great tour.
We had a wonderful time on our tour of the lagoon and lunch on the motu. Coco helped us when we were not such strong swimmers. We saw beautiful manta rays and reef sharks. The lunch on the motu was awesome. There was a demonstration on the motu on coconuts and tying paréos. Manu put on a show! It was a lot of fun. Bora Bora lagoon is such a place of beauty.
It was an absolutely mind-blowing snorkeling tour! The weather was a mix of beautiful sunshine, a light drizzle with a stunning rainbow, and a quick tropical downpour, but it didn't ruin the fun at all.We were incredibly lucky to see almost all the "superstars" of Bora Bora’s lagoon: majestic Manta Rays at the very first spot, followed by an breathtakingly awesome flock of Eagle Rays gliding under us like a "bomber formation"—the scale and sense of awe were just beyond what a phone camera could ever capture. We also swam with Blacktip Reef Sharks, Stingrays, and explored a dreamlike coral garden.The raw beauty we saw with our own eyes vastly exceeded any photos. It was an amazing, well-managed experience. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bora Bora!
We had an amazing half-day snorkeling tour! Our guide Manu was super fun, chill, knowledgeable, and attentive to everyone in the group. We visited four different spots and saw stunning coral gardens, groups of eagle rays, and even sharks. Such an unforgettable experience we highly recommend this tour to anyone who visits bora bora

He did go all the places he promised but there wasn’t any fruits provided as web description indicates. When I asked captain, where is fruit? He said in the market. The captain is loud, energetic but not enough patience for people with less swim ability. The boat is average, didn’t provide anything except bottle of drink. If you compare it with other similar tour, its price is much higher than the value I received.
The ukulele and singing made this a special trip. They also went above and beyond to make sure we saw all the special sea creatures. Loved the tour !
Ramone & Ari were the tour operators at the time and they gave us an unbeatable experience! They provided fresh fruits (mangos, coconuts, bananas), showed us awesome snorkeling spots, took us near private islands, got up close and personal with the overwater bungalows around the island and sung for us! The boat tour was smooth and we had a very fun time with them - I'd highly recommend this tour.

We booked a last-minute half-day tour with Rohivai and had a very nice experience. The lagoon was beautiful and mostly calm, the fish plentiful, and the price fair for what was included. Our guide, Ramon, was kind and funny. That said, this outing leans toward the more casual side of Bora Bora snorkel experiences. Our guide fed some of the fish leftover banana peels and had us gently hold a manta, which didn’t really align with how we like to experience wildlife. It’s a style some travelers appreciate, but if you prefer a less interactive, more conservation-minded approach, that’s worth knowing. Safety-wise, the water was relatively calm, though there were basic life jackets and a rescue ring onboard. Still, the overall setup felt pretty laid-back, so I’d recommend it for confident swimmers looking for a light, local experience rather than something structured or polished.
Our local boat captain and guide was very proud of the seas/lagoons around his island. He proudly shared the undersea secrets with us as we snorkeled. We snaked our way through the coral reef seeing colorful fish and varieties of coral, at our next stop saw 2 types of rays and at our final stop, we were surrounded by reef sharks. The waters are so clear and shallow, that even the people in the boat could see the rays and sharks (without getting wet!) Our captain changed the order of locations to avoid crowds and give us the best experienc.
We had a wonderful time with Ramon taking us completely around Bora Bora, stopping at several snorkeling locations. We snorkeled with black tip sharks and snorkeled at the Coral Garden. Ramon serenaded the entire time. What a treat. Our last stop was in shallow beautiful sandy bottom water where we could just relax. Ramon provided drinks and fresh fruit as well. I would highly recommend taking this excursion. You will have forever memories
It was very convenient to have the boat pick us up & drop us off at our hotel. Our boat captain, Vahi knew all the best spots to see giant mantra Ray, black tip sharks, huge group of eagle rays and the beautiful Coral Gardens.

Bora Bora is just amazing. Ramon was so much fun, very safety conscious, and ver informative. The only complaint is the snorkeling equipment was not up to par, and the ladder to get in and out of the boat was not secure.

Ramon is a great tour guide he is fun, knowable, and entertaining!!! Diving or more accurately shallow sand bar walking with the rays and sharks was a highlight of the round the island 1/2 day guide tour. Up close and personal experience…Rays are like puppy dogs wanting food and attention from the guides who visit twice a day.
Guide spoke English and French. The boat was very comfortable we saw so many fish and rays and sharks

We did the half-day lagoon safari in Bora Bora during our honeymoon and it was absolutely magical. From start to finish, it felt like something out of a dream. Swimming alongside blacktip reef sharks and spotting giant manta rays gliding gracefully beneath us was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. But what made the tour even more special was Ramon, our guide. He was an absolute legend – knowledgeable, warm, funny, and incredibly talented (his singing is worth the trip alone!). There’s nothing quite like floating in the turquoise lagoon while singing and laughing with everyone on board. Ramon made us feel so welcome and celebrated our honeymoon in the most joyful, authentic way. This tour was a major highlight of our trip – exciting, moving, and full of heart. Ramone was our captain on July 11, 2025. We were staying at the Intercontinental Bora Bora. We snorkel all over the world and Ramone provided us with our best experience yet. He was very knowledgeable, told great stories, very funny, helpful and his singing and ukulele playing was so much fun. We enjoyed swimming with the sharks and his sting ray girlfriend, Celine Dion. He took us to an amazing area to see beautiful and colorful coral and fish. We highly recommend this tour company and ask for Ramone. Ramone is a treasure for sure!

Bora Bora did not disappoint!! TripAdvisor tour with Rohivai Tours with Chris and then Ian as guides. It was a snorkel safari! 1st stop: Manta Ray with about 6-8 ft wingspan. Most majestic creature I’ve ever seen. 2nd stop: Spotted Eagle Rays —counted 52 right below us!! 3rd Stop: Black Tip Sharks and large Stingrays— standing in 3-4ft of water as they swam all around us!! It was incredible! 4th spot: Coral Gardens— huge area of magnificent coral filled with the most beautiful clams and teaming with fish. It is a marine preserve so the fish are used to people and were very curious and not afraid. Saw 3 sea horses as well! The tour we booked said it would be 4-5 hours. They picked us up at 8:45 in a boat from the port and dropped us off at a private dock at 12:00. When I said something to the Chris, he said it was a half day tour. And he had to leave to take the other 5 people back to their hotel. So the new guide, Ian, that was going to drive us back into town asked how our tour was. I said fantastic but then expressed my disappointment about the timing and he asked if we’d like to go back out on a boat to another Coral Garden close by. I was pleasantly shocked and said sure, we’d love to!! So he took us to snorkel for another 40 minutes and then delivered us to the cruise ship pier by boat. It was the utmost in customer service and we really expressed our appreciation! I would HIGHLY recommend this tour and ROHIVAI TOURS! Extreme professionalism and phenomenal place to snorkel!! And perfect for cruise ship passengers like us who have limited time and want to see everything the island has to offer! Thank you to Chris and Ian!!

Coco’s tour was exceptional - the highlight of our time in Bora Bora. The snorkeling was wonderful (sharks, manta rays, sting rays, and the amazing coral garden). He didn’t rush any of the spots - I especially appreciated the time to explore on our own in the coral garden. He was informative and generous and fun. Definitely recommend!

We loved this half day tour packed with snorkeling. There were just six of us on the boat plus the captain. We snorkeled through a great coral garden, swam with sharks and rays, and finished with another coral garden stop. Captain was funny and kept us entertained with lots of stories and local information. Cool water, some fruit and gear were all provided. Pickup was easy and in-time from our resort. Would definitely recommend this excursion.
We were on board with Coco. He explained and showed us a lot about the island at the beginning, which was really interesting. Afterwards, we went to see the sharks and stingrays in the lagoon. Then we encountered several schools of rays, which were fantastic! We even spotted a manta ray, and finally, we went to the coral garden with drinks and fruit at the end. We would recommend the tour; there were eight of us; there couldn't have been any more.
Really enjoyed our boat trip with these guys. Friendly & knowledgeable. Took us to some great snorkel spots, and fantastic scenery. Lovely fresh fruit & soft drinks provided. We saw Sting rays, a manta ray, 50-60 eagle rays, sharks & a beautiful coral garden! Gutted our GoPro broke so we go no photos, only memories!
Great day out for me my wife and 2.5 year old boy. We went on the half day tour, stopped four times to snorkel to see mantarays, eaglerays, sharks, and loads of other fish. The coral snorkel was also very impressive. Great guides who provided refreshments on board and views of the lagoon and mt otemanu were awesome, just do it!
Guide and wife very knowledgeable of the island. Stops were great and they always were asking about the comfort of their guest and willing to help.
Incredible captain, tour and experience - not only getting the history but a personal experience too, with some incredible snorkeling sites, great music, lovely refreshing drinks, I didn’t want it to end
