This may have been the best excursion I’ve ever been on. The crew was professional and fun and always giving information and answering questions. Highly recommend!!

We had the most amazing day on Rohivai's Full-day Lagoon Safari! Right from the start we were lucky enough to spot a manta ray, followed by an eagle ray, and later we snorkeled at a stunning shallow sandbank in the middle of the ocean, surrounded by baby sharks and stingrays. Truly magical. Our two local guides were the heart of the experience. Ali "King" and his partner were warm, funny, and full of energy — playing the ukulele and singing throughout the day. You can tell they genuinely love what they do, and their joy is contagious. Lunch on the motu was delicious, and the coconut show was such a fun touch. They made sure we experienced everything the lagoon has to offer. If you're visiting Bora Bora, this tour is an absolute must. Thank you, Ali and team, for a day we'll never forget!
It was a truly unique experience! Heiarii is an expert guide who showed us the beautiful coral garden. We were lucky enough to swim with a manta ray, eagle rays, other rays, and sharks, always keeping a safe distance to respect the animals and avoid invading their space or disturbing them. We also spotted a group of dolphins and a sea turtle before heading to the motu, where we enjoyed delicious local food accompanied by traditional Polynesian singing. Afterwards, we watched a fascinating demonstration of how to open a coconut and took part in a hands-on workshop learning how to weave and work with palm leaves. Everything was wonderful, from the marine wildlife encounters to the cultural experience on the motu. Heiarii made the whole experience special, and we highly recommend this excursion to anyone visiting Bora Bora!
Went with my husband. We had an amazing time! The Captain was personable, friendly and engaged with everyone on the trip. He taught us a lot about the various marine life. You will thoroughly enjoy your time!!
Spend the day on a boat. I loved every minute of it. We snorkeled in three different spots with stingrays, sharks, and fish.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an incredible time on this snorkeling tour! Our guide Manu was fantastic – knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure everyone felt safe and comfortable in the water. Marine Life: We were lucky enough to see Manta Rays, sharks, and a wide variety of colorful tropical fish. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience swimming alongside such amazing creatures! Food & Entertainment: The lunch provided was delicious and hit the spot after a morning in the water. They also put on a great performance/show that added a fun cultural touch to the whole trip.
One of the best snorkel tours we have ever experienced. Diverse locations, friendly and supportive staff and fun and safe . They even enabled marginal swimmers to experience the water and the beautiful fish effectively!
An awesome way to experience what Bora Bora has to offer. Coco was a terrific. Relaxed and knowledgeable guide and ensured we got to experience this beautiful place. Well done Coco.
A great day with memorable snorkeling where we saw manta, eagle and string rays, sharks, a great diversity of small fish and colourful corals and clams. Our captain was full of laughter and banter with the other captains. The boat was very comfortable. The water was warm and crystal clear. The lunch was delicious. Just note, unlike tours on other islands, there was no alcohol served with lunch.
The excursion was very nice, although the cloudy, slightly warm weather prevented us from fully enjoying the snorkeling (it was cold when we got off the boat, and we weren't prepared). Our guide was very kind and helpful, always making sure we were comfortable. We enjoyed lunch on the motu, with local food available on a spectacular islet. The tour operator was serious and reliable from the moment of booking.
If you’re trying to decide which lagoon tour to book, don’t hesitate—book this one! We spent a lot of time comparing 5 or 6 different tours before making our decision, and I can honestly say choosing this one was the best decision we made in Bora Bora. It was the highlight of our entire trip. Manu and Ari were absolutely incredible. From the moment we got on the boat, they made everyone feel welcome and like family. Their energy, humor, and passion for what they do made the day so much fun. I was nervous about snorkeling, and there were two other guests who weren’t comfortable in the water either. Manu and Ari stayed close to us, encouraged us, and made sure we felt completely safe the entire time. Because of them, I was able to enjoy an experience I never would have had on my own. Their kindness and patience meant so much. We were lucky enough to see manta rays, stingrays, sharks, and eagle rays. As an unexpected bonus, we even saw pods of dolphins swimming, which wasn’t part of the tour! We know wildlife sightings are never guaranteed, so we went into the day with realistic expectations. Honestly, even if we hadn’t seen everything we did, we still would have had an amazing day because Manu and Ari made the experience that special. Their personalities, positive vibes, and genuine love for what they do are a 100 out of 10. Lunch was delicious! Everything was fresh, plentiful, and much better quality than we expected. It was the perfect way to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. We were a party of six, and with a maximum of only 12 guests on the boat, the experience felt personal and uncrowded. It never felt rushed, and we had plenty of time to enjoy each stop. The entire day couldn’t have been more perfect. Between the stunning lagoon, incredible marine life, delicious lunch, and the outstanding hospitality from Manu and Ari, this was an unforgettable experience. Thank you both for giving us memories we’ll cherish forever. We would book this tour again in a heartbeat and recommend it to anyone visiting Bora Bora!
We booked last minute and we’re so glad we did! Capt. Coco picked us up in an outrigger. So cool! He took special care to find a manta ray for us to swim with (in addition to sharks and stingrays) and took us to a beautiful coral garden. At lunch, he taught us about different kinds of coconuts. We did a full circle around Bora Bora. Gorgeous! He took special care with my 80 year old parents who were novice snorkelers. The felt safe and cared for and got to see the giant clams. Awesome day.
One of the best tours we participated in while on a cruise in the South Pacific. The tour guide took us to places where we were sure to see the wildlife unique to the oceans around Bora Bora. We were on a cruise and even with having to tender to reach Bora Bora we had plenty of time to get off the ship. This is so much fun, just do it!!!!
Great tour znd guide. Would recommend, A+++
Best tour in Bora Bora. Do not heistate to book this if you want an incredible, memorable day with a great guide, a delicious all-you-can-eat lunch and up-close experiences with many black-tip sharks, sting rays, manta rays, eagle rays, amazing fish and beautiful coral. My wife and I booked this through GYG our first full day we arrived, and we loved it so much we booked it again directly through the provider on Rohivai's website for our final day in Bora Bora. Captain Malika (hopefully I'm spelling his name correctly) was amazing and gracious -- we were so lucky to get him twice!!! Will book again whenever we return from Arizona. Repeat -- best tour in BB.
Had a terrific. Day out on the Lagoon with our guide Malaka. Lunch was delicious. Would definitely recommend this experience. Highlights were the Manta Rays, Eagle rays and coral garden. Oh and Malala’s singing. 😁
My whole family enjoyed this excursion with Rohivai Tours. My parents are 78 and it was perfect for them. Also have 2 teenagers (16 year old twins) and they loved the excursion as well. It was full of excitement, adventure and beauty. Chad was an amazing and entertaining guide. Bora Bora we fell in love. The shark and manta encounter was exhilarating
A great tour! The guides Ramon and Ari were very fun and entertaining with their singing. the locations we went to were all great, and lunch on the motu was great. Worth it!
Excellent day! Gorgeous outrigger boat, fun & professional guides who entertained us with ukulele and singing, 3 beautiful snorkeling spots, and an unforgettable lunch experience. Book it!
We had an awesome tour with a great guide Moana. He cared about the customers, was very acknowledged and friendly. We had 4 absolutely wonderful stops and saw manta rays, eagle rays, sharks and stingrays. We felt very comfortable and save. On a motu a very tasty lunch was served with a wonderful view. Thank you !!! Highly recommended!
Pick up at cruise port was easy. Our guides, Moana and Araa, were fantastic and we had the best day on the beautiful clear blue water. The lunch was delicious and the coconut show was a lot of fun. Highly recommend this excursion!
This company has two boat one slightly better than the other one with proper shelter. We were already eating long sleeves and pants for water sports but since I forgot my hat and the boat sent to pick us is no shield for passengers, I still got bad sunburn on my forehead. They charge higher price than the other companies but have worse hardwares and speaks French most of the time. It was a wrong choice of us.
Manu, our guide, made the experience perfect! He shared his knowledge of the area, the history, geography, his sense of humor and his musical talents. Manu absolutely stopped in the most stunning spots. He mentioned at the start of our tour that morning that we had a 10% chance of seeing a Manta ray. The videos of the Manta ray are spectacular - as if the Manta ray was paid to pose for me. The stingrays and black tip reef sharks were quite comfortable passing by me so my video was impressive. Manu's instructions provided the just-in-time expertise I needed to fully enjoy the experience. Would I book another snorkeling tour with Manu - tomorrow, if I could! I've been back home now for two weeks and I'm still re-watching the videos and pictures I took.
Loved seeing the Manta Rays, by the way if you get lucky you may even see the Albino Manta Ray! Wow! Coral garden was like swimming thru caves of coral and fish. The tour guide cares about conservation and reminds not to touch the reefs. A Fun and Safe activity!
Best trip ever. Live music performance makes this trip so special. They really show you into their "home". Included fantastic lunch and all you ever wanted to know about coconuts and the us the cleaving and art made of its leafs Ali Gucci bags And we have ticked all the boxes: manta, sting, eagle rays and reef sharks Even i cannot swim was not a problem. I was pulled with a floaty around all the best places by the crew Unforgettable, just priceless.
Great time!!! Everything about the trip was fun and saw so many animals. Also learned so much about coconuts
Best tour everrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so glad that I had chance to participate in such a nice trip. Manu is a really good guide, he always bring out fun jokes and create a energetic vibe on the boat. We saw sting rays and mantas and even sharks! We also stopped to watch some dolphins playing with the waves!! The whole day is super busy and enjoyable. After lunch, we walked to the back of an island to see local salt-making - its amazing to see how people make salt from seawater! I would love to book this tour a second time.
Manu was the greatest guide one could ask for!🙏🏽 Right in the beginning of the tour it started raining, but he kept bringing the best energy, so that we laughed and had fun neverless the bad weather. At lunch time, the day cleared up and we made coconut-leaves bags, coconut water and coconut milk🤩 I have no words to express how thankful I am🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 Mauruuru!!! In case you want to do half day, right at lunch time you will be dropped off at your starting point, we enjoyed doing full day at the Motu!
It was wonderful! We are a family of four, with two kids aged 8 and 10. We can swim, but not very well. This is why we loved this tour—our guide Manu (not sure how to spell it) gave us floating vests, which were perfect for snorkeling, and then lead us and help us all the way. Constantly check if we were good, if we needed help. He is humerus too, and gave us lots of information about Bora Bora. Showed us how to crack a coconut and braid a plate or purse out of palm leaves after lunch. So many good words to say about him! Also, the three stops of the tour were perfect, despite the poor visibility at the first stop caused by weather. We swam with lots of sharks and stingrays, saw many colorful fish and corals. Even lunch was better than we expected. Overall, we love the tour, and felt sorry that we forgot to bring cash to give Manu a tip. I usually don’t leave feedback, but I have to about this one. They deserve it.
Such an amazing and unforgettable tour with such a funny captain! While snorkeling, we saw leopard rays, a manta ray, and even got to swim with sharks. I would definitely book this tour a second time. The food was so delicious! I can truly recommend it to everyone.
perfect combo for a full day of fun out. strongly recommend. Good point is that the group is not big ( there was like 7 of us not 30. ) great guide , perfect view. tasty lunch. everything cool. a must do.
Coco is simply the best tour guide ever—no exceptions. He’s a true all-rounder: incredibly enthusiastic, witty, highly professional, and extremely responsible, making every moment of the trip enjoyable. He took us swimming with small sharks, let us touch stingrays, and showed us breathtaking coral reefs—each experience was more amazing than the last. The lunch spot he chose had stunning views too. From start to finish, it was an absolutely fantastic experience, and none of it would have been the same without Coco. 10/10, would definitely recommend his tour again!
Best day ever! Malaki and Alex were the best captains in showing us around Bora Bora! We were mesmerized from the first stop with the black tip reef sharks! They had to keep insisting that the tour wasn’t over! We then were taken to a manta ray feeding station which was one of the highlights of our trip! We saw 3 stunning mantas! We went to about 4-5 stops in total, seeing sharks, rays and multiple kinds of coral, fish etc. This tour was the highlight of our 2 weeks in the South Pacific!
Aside from the beautiful location, the tour was very informative and relaxing. I would do it again and again.
It was a great value and a very fun day. 4 snorkel sights, delicious food, and a great guide. Would recommend.
We had the best time in Bora Bora on this tour and would highly recommend it! Manu was our guide and he was the best ever! He gave us a truly Polynesian experience and did everything to make our day fantastic. He made sure to interact with each guest and went out of his way to ensure each person had a good time. We swam with rays, sharks, and all kinds of fish. Enjoyed a Polynesian lunch on the beach, ate on picnic tables in the water, circled the entire lagoon, saw beautiful corals, awesome resorts on the water, even the infamous St Regis featured in the movie, Couples Retreat. So fun and such a great day! Can’t recommend Manu and this tour high enough….such a great day!!!
By far the best aquatic experience of one’s life. The scenery, the variety of water creatures: manta rays, sting rays, sharks and the most colorful fish around the corral reef.
We had an amazing day with Manu of Rohivai Tours. He has been very funny but also attentive, knowledgeable and clever as a boat captain. We did the full day tour of Bora Bora. Definitely we recommend this tour (doing the half day would let you miss a lunch in one of the most astonishing landscapes of your life) and ask especially for Manu if you want to be sure that everything will be perfect.
We chose this tour based on the excellent reviews, but the experience we had would barely deserve even one star. The guide didn’t speak or provide any explanation during the entire trip. We made four separate stops with zero communication about what we were seeing or supposed to experience. There was another English-speaking couple on the boat, and I ended up translating the very little information the captain occasionally mumbled. All the guests on board were clearly disappointed and confused. The boat itself was not the traditional pirogue shown on the website and on TripAdvisor, but a very basic boat that felt like a downgrade. At one point, the captain even made an unannounced stop at the airport to pick up a parcel — not exactly part of the tour! The only enjoyable moment was lunch, and that was mostly thanks to the lively atmosphere created by other boats arriving at the same time — not because of anything arranged by our own tour. We reached out to Rohiva Tour directly, but their response was short and unhelpful. They simply told us to contact the booking platform. All in all, this tour was not worth the money and certainly not what was promised in the description. We felt misled and disappointed. I cannot recommend it.
Coco was a fantastic guide! The coral gardens were spectacular. The lunch in the motu was delicious and fun sitting in the water!
Chris was a fantastic guide, the boat was extremely comfortable and we had a blast with the other guests on this full day on the water. The stop for the sharks and rays was busy with many other boats, which wasn’t Chris’ fault, but made that part of the trip unfortunately feel crowded and touristy. Once we were away from that stop though, he shared information about the islands and the places we were passing along the way. Chris guided us through the Coral Garden himself, making sure we stayed in clear pathways through the formations. That was a highlight of the trip. We saw schools of rays, and Chris kept us moving with them, so we got a good viewing opportunity. We didn’t get to see manta rays since the visibility at that stop was too limited to see deeper into the water. The lunch at the motu was delicious, the hosts wee fun and provided a very entertaining demonstration of opening a coconut, along with some music and dancing. We walked a short way to see the ocean side of the motu - unprotected by the reef - which was stunning. Our day finished with passing by many of the over water bungalow resorts, a spot where folks were riding horseback in the ocean and then a relaxing spot for a swim before heading back to the dock. Chris made each of us a banana crown as a memento of our adventures with him. The boat had room for 16 people (seating areas for 2) and the operator kept the party to exactly that size, making the trip very comfortable, as guests had set spots for the whole day and could also ride on the bow or the side nets to the outrigger. The main cabin was covered for those times we wanted less sun, as well. There was water, juice and sodas along the way and pool noodles - which we mostly used for the last swim spot (which was shallow enough to touch, but the noodles let us truly relax and reflect on the beautiful day we’d enjoyed. I would highly recommend Chris as a captain and guide. I would love to come back and visit less busy sites and spend more time snorkeling at each - but would request him as our guide 100% for a more immersive day.
The boat was fantastic. It had an outrigger look to it with natural colors and a net between the main boat and the outrigger (it was the coolest looking boat we saw all day). Our guide Chris was friendly and knowledgeable. We went to four snorkeling sites with preparation for each site in advance and a little Bora Bora local knowledge as well. The first stop was for viewing Sting Rays and Black-Tip Sharks in very shallow water with a sandy bottom. It felt a little bit like an aquarium, but it was still a lot of fun and my the entire family loved it. The second stop was for Eagle Rays in deeper water (circa 35 feet) and we saw ten swimming together along the bottom. The third stop was an attempt at seeing Manta Rays, but they were allusive on our day; however, Chris spent a lot of time trying to spot one from our boat (an A+ for effort). The fourth dive spot was a marine sanctuary with great coral heads teaming with colorful fish and clams that were opening and displaying myriad colors. Chris drove us by each hotel on the east side of the lagoon and told us a little bit about each one. Our final stop was for a lunch on the beach with a nice, but simple, buffet and a few demonstrations of island life (opening coconuts, pulling the husk off and grinding the coconut meat; slightly touristy, but we are tourists). I highly recommend this tour.
Our full day tour with Rohivai was fantastic and a great way to spend a day seeing Bora Bora from 360 degrees. Nico was hilarious, energetic, attentive and welcoming. Even when he was telling a joke, he always was always paying attention to everything going on. The boat was new and nice. One of the better ones we saw that day. The lunch on the beach was super relaxing and the food delicious. It was great seeing the island and surrounding atoll by small boat and experiencing the coral gardens, searching for manta's and snorkeling with sharks and stingrays. Overall, it was a great way to spend the day, ran professionally and we would highly recommend Rohivai to anyone looking do any sort of excursion they offer.
On-time pick up. “Coco” our guide has an easygoing and fun demeanor which puts everyone at ease. Enjoyed learning about Bora Bora. The day was perfect for snorkeling and swimming. Coco knows all the good spots for sharks, various rays, etc. Nice lunch at end of day.
I thought the trip was very close to as-advertised! The guide was very nice and the food was delicious!! At the first stop, we got to spend time with the sting rays and sharks, which was great--but there were LOTS of other people there. The second stop was for eagle rays, which was cool except they were about 15 meters (45 feet) below the surface. The third stop was for the coral garden--which was great! There weren't a lot of fish per se (there were some), but the coral was really cool!! The last stop was for manta rays and we didn't see any (that's not the tour operators fault though) One comment I would have is that the "guide" really didn't guide you when snorkeling. It would have been nice to know what you're looking at (e. G. What kind of fish, what kind of coral, etc.) The lunch was delicious and there was a fun presentation on how to crack and prepare coconuts! I would definitely recommend this trip to other travelers!!
Chris was a great tour guide. We saw manta rays, eagle rays, sharks, a coral garden and had a wonderful lunch at a little motu that is run by his son. We loved this day!
Manu our tour guide was gracious, warm and entertaining. He took us to good spots for snorkeling. We had an awesome time!
Thanks to Rohivai Tours we have spent an amazing day. First of all we’d like to thank Manu who has enertained us as well as guided the whole day. The crew of the boat also fulfilled all they promises - so we really could have seen manta ray, sharks and plenty of other fishes. The lunch was really nyam nyam as well as the colouring of sarongs. We can only recommend the tour with Rohivai Tours to other tourists if they want to learn about the island, to see plenty of fishes and enjoy a lot of fun:-) thank you:-)
Best tour in Southern Polynesia. Gorgeous boat, delightful captain and kind assistant. Full day activity exceeded our expectations. Thrilled by non-touristy route and multiple amazing experiences
MAUI was a fantastic guide story teller and ukulele player ❣️❣️❣️❣️ it was a grand adventure, snorkeling and the lunch was delicious.
