I had never seen Mantas and Dolphins this close before. Christ made some great hats. Lunch was delicious.

The Coral Garden in Bora Bora is a stunning underwater paradise, located just off the main island in the lagoon. Known for its vibrant marine life and crystal-clear waters, it's a top snorkeling and diving destination where visitors can swim among colorful coral reefs, tropical fish, and sometimes even stingrays. The Coral Garden offers a serene and immersive experience, showcasing Bora Bora's natural beauty and biodiversity in a setting that feels both untouched and magical.
Bora Bora is famous for its encounters with graceful manta rays, especially around the Anau area in the lagoon. These gentle giants, with wingspans that can reach up to 20 feet, glide through the water in mesmerizing loops, feeding on plankton. Many tours offer snorkeling and diving trips to see the manta rays up close, especially early in the morning when they're most active. Known for their calm nature, manta rays in Bora Bora offer a breathtaking and peaceful underwater experience for divers and snorkelers alike, making them one of the highlights of Bora Bora's marine life.
Lunch on Motu Fanfan in Bora Bora is a unique, private island experience offering traditional Polynesian cuisine against the backdrop of stunning lagoon views. A motu is a small islet, and Fanfan provides an intimate setting where guests can enjoy grilled fish and chicken, raw fish with coconut milk, rice, taro, manioc, banana poe, coconut bread, plate of local fruits, juice and water. There are drinks on sale ( coca cola, hinano beer, coffee, mango juice...). Many tours and resorts offer trips to Motu Fanfan for a leisurely lunch, often paired with snorkeling or other activities, allowing visitors to soak in the natural beauty and culture of Bora Bora in an unforgettable setting.
The Shark and Ray Snorkel Safari in Bora Bora is an experience where you can safely swim with blacktip reef sharks, sharks, and friendly stingrays in the lagoon’s warm. The guide will usually takes you to various snorkeling spots known for these species. The blacktip reef sharks are small and generally harmless, making them ideal for close-up viewing. Stingrays are often the highlight, as they swim right up to snorkelers and allow for gentle interaction. These rays are accustomed to humans and glide gracefully in groups, brushing past with their silky, wing-like fins. The tour is safe and conducted in controlled environments with trained guides who prioritize both the safety of the participants and the well-being of the marine animals. This activity is a fantastic way to see the incredible diversity of Bora Bora’s marine life up close, and it provides a thrilling, memorable adventure in the island’s crystal-clear waters.

Absolutely incredible trip! The guides were amazing and even though this wasn’t a trip to see dolphins we ended up seeing them as a bonus! Everything about this trip was beautiful from the coral colours, clear water and the lunch was brilliant for my allergies too they made something separate especially for me. The sands is so soft it feel like your walking on clay. I can’t explain how incredible this trip was but if you’re thinking about it just book it’s so worth it!
Incredible experience, staff was super funny and caring. Incredible food on top of stunning views and experiences. Recommended also to those staying at a resort that will charge you double to see the same things
Thank you , for the wonderful time … And for Ray a billion thanks for helping my wife in the water and dragging her around to see everything , what you did is priceless .
An excellent trip in a magical place. Very clear and precise communication about pick up and drop off. Wonderful guide who spoke excellent English. We saw Manta rays, large numbers of black fin sharks, sting rays, fish and coral. A good Polynesian lunch and time on a beautiful beach. It was paradise. Would highly recommend this trip. One not to be missed!
A great tour to experience beautiful Bora Bora waters: deep water search for mantas, shallow to swim with sharks and then deep for the coral garden. Amazing to be in touching distance of sharks and rays. Not recommended for those with mobility issues or unsure swimmers. Choppy water made climbing the boat ladder difficult at one site. Strong current was tricky at another. Unsure swimmers can hang on life ring pulled by driver. Excursion includes lunch at a private motu and interesting cultural demonstration, although stop could be shortened. Boat ride across bay was super fast and wave-pounding. But driver and his brother entertained with ukulele snd songs.
Best guides! We saw manta rays, sharks, rays, and the most colorful coral we’ve ever seen! Also got luckily and spotted a baby dolphins practicing its jumps.
This is an all day tour, including a Tahitian lunch. We saw dolphins, sting rays, manta rays, eagle rays, sharks and lots of tropical fish. But the best thing, in my opinion was an absolutely amazing coral garden. Our guide Tuhiti was excellent!
Amazing way to see the Bora Bora lagoon and also experience some Polynesia culture. Christ was an awesome guide and we got to swim with many fish, sting ray, mantas, sharks and also leopard rays. It was magical. We then had the chance to eat on a spectacular Motu and learn more about the culture.
We had an incredible experience on this lagoon tour, with four amazing snorkeling stops. We saw beautiful manta rays, an impressive coral garden, swam with sharks and stingrays, and finished with an unforgettable encounter with eagle rays. Every stop was special and offered something different. After exploring the lagoon, we went to a beautiful motu for a delicious buffet lunch. The food was amazing, and we had time to relax and enjoy the beach in this incredible setting. One of the highlights was also the traditional coconut demonstration, where we learned how to open a coconut, grate it, and make fresh coconut milk. It was a lovely way to discover more about Polynesian culture. A special mention to our guide and captain, Tuhiti, who was incredibly helpful, funny, and always smiling. He created a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the entire day. This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip in French Polynesia. A perfect combination of adventure, nature, culture, and relaxation. We would absolutely recommend this tour! 🌺
The tour was really nice We saw manta ray eagle ray sharks We got to Hangout on an island which was nice
Worth it. Might be the only thing worth it in Bora Bora because the main island sure doesn't come close to the expectations one comes here with, but the views on this trip were worth it. Tuhiti was a great guide, great English speaking skills and great attitude.
We had a great time thanks to our boat captain Chris.
What an amazing experience! I’ve been on many, many excursions and this is one of the best! Snorkeling with manta rays and sharks and the coral garden to a traditional Polynesian lunch and private beach! Christ and Tuhiti are just wonderful guides and took great care of everyone! Made us feel like family! I highly recommend this tour, you won’t be disappointed.
Great day, Chris was an awesome guide. We speak English and were in a group of majority French speaking tourists. Chris made sure we were always included, provided English translations all day. He got into the water with the group at the snorkel stops, taking care that we stayed together and pointing out interesting points like sharks, mantas and beautiful coral. He has a great sense of humour as evidenced in the coconut lessons at the end of the day. A really enjoyable day, great company, food and sight seeing. Thanks!
We are very happy taking this excursion in Bora Bora. All the stops were excellent. Saw so many fishes including stingrays during our snorkeling stop at coral garden. We were thrill to see so many blacktip sharks at one of our stop. Lunch was excellent at their own motu.
Great crew entertaining. They could eliminate first stop. The rest of the stops are fantastic great lunch stop with a nice beach to relax
I had such a wonderful experience! From the pick up in the morning to the drop off in the evening, everything was above and beyond. The boat was gorgeous and we were a group of seven people which was very comfortable on this beautiful brand new powerful boat. The snorkelling spots were absolutely amazing, sometimes they were crowded from other snorkel and discovery groups however, jeff did a wonderful job, taking us to best spots first and then setting us on our way to the next amazing spot. He took us around the entire island and taught usso much different wonderful amazing parts of history and facts that I wasn’t even expecting to happen. Above being able to see so many amazing sites and fishin the ocean. He even took the time to sing to us between destinations and traditional Tahitian song. He took the time to explain to safety measures, what to expect, and how much time in each place that we would be at. He had different forms of equipment for us thatwere available example goggles, and tubes and fins if you needed. The lunch was very tasty and the hosts on the island that presented it us were beautiful amazing people. The coconut show was very interesting and a must if you’re coming to Tahiti to learn. All in all it was 100 100 great day for this amazing team all the efforts put behind it and I couldn’t highly suggest it more! Maruuru!!!
We went on this snorkleling trip with 11 people. Jeff, Hiti and Mari? The team was so great,we had an unforgetable trip. The boat was brand new and all the guys made such a good job. We had so much fun and saw mantas, eagle rays, sharks, stingrays, etc. Definitive would book again.
If you come to Bora Bora, Manu Lagoon Tour is the way to do it! The entire crew was amazing and provided an experience that makes this entire island so so special! Snorkeling with sharks, stingrays, and even seeing an eel up close was truly a highlight! Maui and the team went to the best spots, provided an awesome lunch, and were just overall a ton of fun. 5 Stars all the way! Thank you all for an amazing time!
You can see rays, sharks and colourfull fishes. The captain / guide did a wonderful tour. The lunch was.delicious.
The trip was everything it promised to be. Our tour guide Chris was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and made the trip an unforgettable experience. My husband needed a little extra help and Chris was so wonderful in how he assisted him.
A wonderful day experiencing the sea life in Bora Bora complete with a delicious lunch. Ramon was an exceptional guide, funny and talented as a musician but also ensuing we got to maximise the opportunities to spot a manta ray, reef sharks, eagle rays and an abundance of beautiful tropical fish. Lunch was a delightful Polynesian meal of fish and local dishes. We ended the day serenaded by Ramon after a demonstration of local crafts.
We had a good time - saw dolphins, sharks, sting rays, eagle rays, etc. The reason I took off a star is because of the lunch experience. Two issues - 1) let people serve their own food. I felt like they didn't give good portions to us but then loaded up the locals plates. 2) the guide left us to go take people back to their resorts. So we just sat around and waited for him to come back and do a coconut demonstration. It was an hour too long on the motu.
very good tour! guide tries to avoid the crowds and knows where to go. Would do it again and can highly recommend.
We had a great time exploring the 4 different stops, especially the manta rays! The boat was really nice and Chris was a great guide!! If you’re not a strong swimmer they provide life jackets and noodles, however they don’t have fins so if you feel you need them then bring them with you 😊😊 Loved this trip, would 100% book again if we came back to Bora Bora
A must thing to do while in bora bora. Chris our captain us great!!! Food is good too. Thank you for the folks that prepared it.
We had an incredible day diving with our snorkeling guide, Chris. Chris took us to four different locations and found all of the things that we had read about for this excursion; black tip sharks, sting rays, eagle rays, manta rays and the coral garden. Chris patiently assisted some of the less experienced divers through the dives and made sure that all of our questions and concerns were answered. We finished the day with a delicious local style barbecue consisting of bbq’d chicken, teriyaki marlin steaks and fresh fish salad. It was a great day and a great way to finish our trip. I would highly recommend Chris and this tour if this is what you are looking for in Bora Bora!
Chris did a great job spotting wildlife while avoiding most all of the crowds. The boat is brand new. He was pointing out fish and creatures for us on a drift snorkel and had a life ring for those without fins. He found the mantas and eagle rays very readily. Chris was great with the three young kids onboard, as well. The lunch on the motu was really good! I could have used a smaller portion, I needed help to finish it all!! Bbq tuna, chicken, cassava, coconut tuna ceviche, coconut bread, nice juice, fruit and more! I should have asked for just fish, maybe. If during busy season, a half day might do the job. Beautiful lagoon!!
We did a full day tour and was picked up at our hotel. Maui made it very fun and even sung songs and played music for us. We swam with the sharks, saw a mantra ray and coral gardens. Lunch was fabulous and lots of swimming time. Definitely recommend this for a great day out.
I don’t swim and was real worried getting into the water. Christ made it a real memorable experience. I don’t swim and was so afraid when first got into the water. He held my hands to pull me forward until I feel comfortable in the water. I couldn’t believe I was able to do this trip without missing any part. We got to see different kinds of stingray, sharp, different fishes and Corel.
So much fun. They provide everything but your towels. Patient with all experience levels. Also got a tutorial over lunch on how to open and eat a coconut! We swam with sharks, sting rays, manta rays, eagle rays. Swam through the coral reef. Highly recommend!
Its realy worth to do it: Chris is a professional friendly Guide! nice Snorkeling Spots with black tip Sharks, Mantas and Stingrays, Coral Garden and a delicious Lunch at the beach
We went there for two days.Fortunately, we saw manta every day. We couldn't swim. The captain pulled us with a lifebuoy to see it. It was highly recommended. It was suitable for anyone, whether they could swim or not.
If you are still deciding, stop and book it. We did the half day for $160 and it was more than worth it. The views were like something out of a postcard, the guides Ramon, Tahahiti and Jef absolutely made the experience, they made us feel comfortable and shared the history of Bora oceans in an informal setting, we saw manta-rays and black tip reef sharks. The entire operation is worth every minute, I loved how they take you to a private beach for lunch made by the locals and sang alongside playing the ukulele. Beautiful. Thank you for your kindness and the incredible experience. Michelle, Naomi & Alissa
These guys exceeded our expectations. They showed us many beautiful motu’s around Bora Bora, we snorkeled and swam with some stingrays and reef sharks. Good food and a stop at the beach. What we loved about this was the crew seemed to really love showing off their beautiful island with pride. Highly highly recommend this tour.
Booked a full day in bora bora but would recommend half day since the afternoon is a 2 hours wait at the motu.
Expect to get wet and to have a lifetime opportunity swimming with Manta Rays, Eagle Rays, Stung Rays, and Sharks. You are lucky if you get Geff as a guide because he sings as well as answers all questions and points out interesting info about the island
Absolutely unforgettable day — Bora Bora Full Day Manu Lagoon Excursion was perfection from start to finish. We left right on time with a fantastic guide who clearly knew the lagoon inside and out. Our first stop was swimming with manta rays, and I honestly saw the largest manta ray I’ve ever seen. An absolutely breathtaking animal and an incredible experience. Next, we swam with reef sharks at another location—thrilling but calm, and very well managed. Then came the coral garden, which was by far the most beautiful coral reef I’ve ever seen. What really stood out was how thoughtful our guide was: he led us through a natural passageway so we could see the very best parts of the reef without damaging the coral. You could tell they truly care about protecting the lagoon. Our final water stop was in front of a gorgeous beach where we saw eagle rays and a few more reef sharks cruising by—just magical. Lunch was prepared right there on the beach and was a traditional Polynesian meal. They took the time to explain each item, which made it even more special. Afterward, we had plenty of time to relax with chairs and chaise lounges. There were restrooms and a rinse-off shower, which was much appreciated after a full morning in the water. Later, they demonstrated traditional basket weaving and let us try it ourselves, along with peeling coconuts—such a fun and authentic cultural touch. After a full, perfectly paced day on the water, we returned to the port tired, happy, and smiling. This excursion truly had it all: incredible marine life, stunning scenery, cultural experiences, great organization, and a wonderful guide. One of the best days I’ve ever had on the water. Highly recommend.
The mantas, black tip sharks & sting rays came so close while we snorkeled, I could have petted them (but didn't). It was awesome. Our guide, Jeff, was excellent. Saw many different colored clams. And, if the great snorkeling wasn't enough, a pod if spinner dolphins came by & put on a show for us!
Chris is absolutely awesome. He is a very experienced captain and guide who immediately made our family feel comfortable. He is extremely professional and truly great with kids, which made the entire experience relaxing and enjoyable for us. The food was outstanding. Honestly, it was the best food I had on the island and better than all the other tours and even hotel dining. The chef absolutely deserves five stars for the quality, flavor, and presentation. Chris is also super easy to communicate with, responsive, and accommodating. You can tell he genuinely loves kids and cares about making sure families have an amazing experience. Highly recommended. An incredible day with great service, great food, and great people.
Full Day Lagoon Tour Our guide was Christ. It was a nice experience-snorkeling with blacktip reef sharks, manta rays, swimming in a coral garden. It is also in included a full lunch on Motu Fanfan incl. relaxing time on the Motu. The lunch was made by themselves-grilled fish and chicken, ceviche, fruits, etc. A very nice trip with a very nice guy. We deeply recommend this tour. Payment was easy doing it by link.
Jazzy the guide was funny and all the workers are very helpful to those who need jeep in water, like child and elderly. The lunch is very good and we get to see 3 different types of rays, sharks, corals and fishes. The scenery is great,
Jeff our guide was informative and humurous, was able to provide his information in english as we are not french speakers unlike the rest of the party. We stopped at 4 different locations to enter the water, the manta ray only gave us a brief sighting, but good to see eagle rays, stingray, black tip reef sharks and of course many other beautiful reef fish. I would definitely recommend taking your own fins as there was more swimming involved than was the case on a previous snorkelling trip in moorea. Communication with the provider was good via WhatsApp, they requested we change our original date by a day, which we were fortunately able to do, they the kept us informed of the change to our pick up time and point and ultimately were able to pick us up directly from our hotel dock.
The most amazing experience of our visit to the beautiful island of Bora Bora. Thank you so much for the super friendly, and professional service of the captain and his mate. We could not express with words. You must experience it to fully understand it. An amazing chance in a life time to swim with the sharks, and stingrays in the beautiful lagoon of Bora Bora. We will never forget. Thank you for the amazing experience of a life time. We wish to return soon to swim with you and the friendly sharks and stingrays.🤩🤩
What a special day. You won’t regret it. Our captain, Chris, was fantastic! We were fortunate to come across and play with a pod of about 12 dolphins. Saw many many fish and sharks while snorkeling. Best of all were the rays: stingrays, mantarays and eagle rays. Lunch was the best food we’d had and after lunch was a good cultural education and learned how amazing coconuts really are. This was such a special opportunity and Chris really delivered a great experience.
Very good guide Chris. Knowledgeable and pleasant person. Excellent swimmer also. Knows all important facts about sea creatures and took us exactly where they are. We've had amazing snorkeling experience!
We had a great time exploring the waters of Bora Bora, swimming with the sharks and rays and viewing the many colourful fish in the crystal clean water. Our only disappointment was that we thought this would be a more private excursion however when we went for the motu lunch a large boat loaded with cruise ship passengers joined us. We were at the motu first but had to wait for the cruise passengers to arrive, and then they were sent to eat first "because they had to get back to their ship sooner". Some even went for seconds before our group hit to eat leaving slim pickings for our group. We didn't starve by any means, but it did slightly tarnish our experience.
Really nice trip from beginning to end. Beautiful views and good snorkling spots, got to see manta rays, sharks, stingrays, a nice lunch on a motu and much more.
Our tour guide was great. We were worried about tge day being too long but it tge activities were diverse enough and it was not rushed. Highly recommend
