We are family of 5 and had an incredible morning with Jeff. We didn't just get to swim with sharks, stingrays, tropical fish, pool clear water, corals, and views - we did it on our time with an excellent guide (and photographer) who felt like part of our family. Thank you!

this was my husband’s favorite excursion, been able to have the boat for ourself was definitely a highlight as you can spend as much or as little time as you wish on any of the spots and do your picks based on their recommendations. they provided a light snack (I think we had fruits that were very fresh and tasteful). Just keep in mind that is a solar powered boat so it moves very slow but I guess there is no need to rush on island time. very enjoyable and will do it again when we come back.

As a family of 4 with two teenage boys - We had an absolutely amazing day with Parataito Solar Experiences and can honestly say it exceeded every expectation. Jeff was a fantastic guide - friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about Bora Bora. Rather than rushing from place to place, he tailored the day around what we wanted to do, taking us away from the crowds so we could experience the lagoon at its most peaceful and beautiful. He even provided antifog for our for our goggles and a GoPro for us to capture underwater moments too. The lagoon itself was breathtaking. We snorkelled in the bluest, crystal-clear water over coral gardens and swam alongside manta rays, stingrays and reef sharks - an unforgettable experience. We also spent time relaxing in shallow turquoise water while enjoying fresh tropical fruit and cool drinks, which made the day feel even more special. The solar boat was a real highlight. It was exceptionally comfortable, in immaculate condition and the large canopy provided welcome shade from the tropical sun while also keeping us dry during a passing tropical shower. Best of all was the silence. Without a noisy engine, we could actually hear the sounds of nature and easily chat while cruising. No engine fumes, no noise - just a peaceful, environmentally friendly way to explore one of the world’s most beautiful lagoons. This was hands down one of the highlights of our time in Bora Bora and without doubt the best way to experience the lagoon. It was an amazing experience! Jeff and Victoria were very friendly and made sure we felt comfortable throughout the entire tour. We thoroughly enjoyed the fresh fruit and the incredible underwater experience, including the beautiful coral reefs and colorful fishes. Jeff even used his GoPro to capture some stunning underwater photos and shared them with us. This is the best way to go in the ocean. Do you want to enjoy Bora Bora and not pollute? I love boating but the smell of fuel is sometimes nauseating, well with the solar boat, there is NO FUEL. This boat is absolutely perfect and the captain is a delight, we absolute loved his personality. It truly felt like a day with a friend exploring Bora Bora, super peaceful and enjoyable. LOVED every minute of it, I wish all boats were solar. Magnificent!!!

We did almost all the guided water activities in Bora Bora and this was the best of all the experiences. Captain Jeff had great information to share and many stories from his life and work on the island. The boat is luxurious and quiet, which can be appreciated after hearing gas motors for days. One of the best excursions we did on the island. Our host/guide Jeff was a delight. He showed us his house, gave tons of island backstory and provided delicious fresh fruit. I think this was our favorite tour of our week in Bora Bora! We were picked up right in front of our beachfront villa on Matira Beach. We booked this tour for our last full day on the island thinking it would be a relaxing send off - we were NOT disappointed! Our captain/guide (Jeff) was fantastic and asked us what we wanted to see. (The benefit of booking a private tour). Since we had already snorkeled a coral garden, spotted Mantas and even some Eagle rays at a distance, we asked if there was a spot to see some black tip reef sharks. Our first stop was probably the highlight of our water based activities! We were in chest deep water with snorkel gear with no fewer than 7 sharks, multiple large rays, and a variety of fish. I'm so glad we had our GoPro! Our second stop was in deeper water where we got MUCH better views of Eagle rays gliding around beneath us, and our last stop was at a sand bank for cold drinks and fresh fruit. The quiet, slow pace was just what we had hoped for and was an exceptional way to end our trip.

This was by far our favorite experience in Bora Bora. Jeff, our captain, was incredible. He offered to take us anywhere we wanted to go, and we told him it was our first time on the island he offered to take us to the best spots. He took time to make sure we were comfortable and even got in the water with us to show us the best spots. As we cruised around the lagoon he told us all about the history and culture of French Polynesian and Bora Bora. He brought fresh fruit from his home for us to snack on and made us feel like family. We swam with sting rays, eagle rays, sharks, and spent time at the beautiful coral gardens. If you go to Bora Bora, this is an absolute must do!

We had the most incredible experience sailing with Jeff—truly the highlight of our trip! From the moment we met him, he was so kind, welcoming, and professional. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying every moment. Jeff not only took us to some of the most beautiful spots around Bora Bora, but he also captured the entire experience with amazing photos and videos on his GoPro—memories we will cherish forever. That personal touch meant so much to us. I was a little nervous about snorkeling at first, but Jeff encouraged me and stayed by my side the entire time, making me feel completely safe and at ease. Thanks to him, it ended up being one of my favorite parts of the day! Everything about this excursion was perfect—from the views to the experience to Jeff himself. I cannot recommend booking with him enough. Truly a 10/10 experience! Thank you, Jeff, for such an unforgettable day!

Jeff is very knowledgeable & patient if you are not an expert snorkeler. He got into the water with us at our first stop & helped us spot a couple of manta rays. After that, we headed to the coral garden. Even as you approach the coral garden, the different shades of blue water are surreal. If I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes, I wouldn’t think it’s real! We got to swim with a few reef sharks & tons of fish. We were sad to see the abandoned Sofitel hotel as it is in such a beautiful spot right on the coral garden. We also passed by the Intercontinental Le Moana which is right by the coral garden so that may be worth noting. On our way back, Jeff spotted a group of 10 eagle rays & I was able to jump into the water & swim with them for a bit! I also want to add that the communication prior to the excursion was excellent. We experienced bad weather a few hours before the excursion & they were very generous in allowing us to post pone but fortunately the weather improved. He even generously allowed us to borrow his fins & use of his go pro if we wanted. This is one of those experiences that we will not forget. If we return, we would book again & I will be recommending this tour to the travel agents that I work with.

We had an amazing morning with Jeff and his solar boat. We met him on the lagoon in Viatape after tendering from cruise ship. Communication was really easy via wattsapp. The boat was pristine and motored quietly along the stunning lagoon. It seated the 5 of us comfortably. Jeff knew where to find everything! We swam with manta rays, eagle rays, black tipped reef sharks, sting rays and brightly coloured fish in coral gardens. Jeff provided towels (we also brought our own), a fruit platter and juices. He even allowed us to use his Go Pro which was above and beyond! Thank you! Don’t hesitate in booking this most memorable day!

This is the most wonderful trip you could possibly book. If I could give it 6/5 stars, I would. The boat is comfortable and calm and you couldn't ask for a better experience. We even had fresh fruit and drinks and learned tons about Bora Bora. Highly recommend this over any other group trip. This is a once in a lifetime excursion.

Jeff is very knowledgeable and knows lots of good spots for snorkeling. We have a small kid and Jeff was very responsible to support him during snorkeling. We had a fantastic snorkeling experience!

We spent four hours with Parataito Explorer, and it was unforgettable. The solar-powered boat is silent, clean, and free of fumes—such a peaceful way to experience the lagoon. With fresh fruit, drinks, and Jeff’s wife’s delicious banana bread, every detail felt thoughtful. Having it just for the two of us made it even more special. Parataito Explorer is Jeff and his wife’s business, built around this beautiful solar catamaran. Jeff, born and raised on Bora Bora, shared amazing stories about the island and lagoon. He was attentive and caring—I swim in the ocean just once a year and was nervous being close to the coral; he guided me calmly and kept an eye on both of us in the water. That kind of care is rare and made all the difference. This was our fourth trip to Bora Bora, and this excursion has become something we’ll do every time. Next visit, we’re booking the 6-hour trip. Truly exceptional.

Excellent private tour with my young family. We saw fish, rays, and black tipped reef sharks! The scenery is stunning and our favourite stop was the sharks. The guide was very nice and accommodating with our young kids. The boat is perfect for our group of 6 and would 100% recommend! Thanks also for the home-grown pineapple and tasty snacks. Māuruuru!

This was an amazing experience. Jeff, our driver, was extremely knowledgeable spoke great English and was a great host overall. The beauty of using the Solar boat to tour around the island or Lagoon is how quiet it is and how peaceful the whole experience is. Jeff knew all the most amazing spots to go, I had a very intimate snorkeling experience swimming with black tip sharks and stingrays, got to see one of the most beautiful reefs like something you’d see out of National Geographic documentaries… While snorkeling thanks to Jeff. Honoring Bora Bora‘s beautiful Lagoon on a quiet solar power boat is the way to go, versus loud engines and exhaust etc.… Hands-down the best experience I’ve had on a boat in Bora (and this is my fourth visit to Bora Bora)

This was ann amazing private boat tour for our family of five start to finish and we have done a few. The boat was solar powered and island speed cruising. Jeff was a terrific guide / super knowledgeable and attentive. We saw manta rays, stingrays, sharks and eagle rays along with beautiful fish in the coral garden. Tipped off by delicious home made banana bread and drinks. I cannot recommend this tour more. Relatively new, eco friendly sky and Tahitian owned. Will absolutely do it again and again!

This was a fantastic tour! I HIGHLY recommend doing this tour over a shared boat tour. Jeff was an amazing guide and took us to four different locations. He was awesome with my kids, helping my younger one snorkel and taking pictures for us. The boat is so great too because it’s quiet. 10/10 recommend!

This was the best private excursion! We were able to snorkel at the coral gardens, swim with rays and sharks, and have a peaceful and relaxing boat ride! We were visiting Bora Bora by cruise ship and this excursion fit perfectly into our day. We were picked up and dropped off at the cruise ship pier. Communication was excellent and so was our guide. The boat is slower and very quiet. So enjoyable!

We visited Bora Bora via a cruise ship and decided we wanted to do something as a family away from the crowds. The Electric Boat was exactly what we wanted and then some! Jeff was our guide and asked us what we would like to see (fish, sharks & rays) and do (snorkel). The boat slowly glides around the island and it is so quiet we snuck up on sea turtles & rays several times. The highlight of our snorkeling was seeing a moral eel emerge from its hiding place and swim right past us. Amazing! And he also took us to a spot where you can stand in waist deep water while surrounded by black tip reef sharks. Also Amazing! This is a must do if you would like to combine a quiet, stress free boat ride with amazing snorkeling.

We had an amazing time. Jeff was a great guide. He took us snorkeling to the coral garden, and with sting rays, manta rays and sharks. He even went snorkeling with us at the coral garden and pointed out different fishes, eels, etc. We loved the boat. It was quiet and very comfortable, and although slower than gas boats, it allowed us to really enjoy the water and see different fishes. We never felt rushed and Jeff allowed us to spend as much time as we need at every location. The banana bread baked by his wife was amazing. We had a great time and highly recommend the tour.

We thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. Jeff took us to snorkel with manta rays, sharks. Sting rays and to the coral gardens. Tasty bananna bread that his wife made added a personal touch. The electric boat was quieter than gas engines although slower, so range is less but still fine. Catamaran hull rode smooth. Well done and an ecological way to snorkel.

Our guide Jeff was amazing! He was knowledgeable, informative, funny and kind. He taught us a lot about the history of French Polynesia and Bora Bora. The snorkelling spot was amazing, very calm, lots of fish and corals, super cool. He had all the equipment we needed and guided us in the water. We also say some sharks and rays in the water while cruising, he prepared fresh fruit, juice and even beer for us as well. The boat was really cool, quiet, modern and comfortable. You can even drive it. Overall, super fun experience and very worth the price, highly recommended!

Our tour with Jeff was amazing. The boat was perfect and very relaxing. We enjoyed the full cover as it was a long day and we enjoyed the shade. Also loved the quietness of the electric motor. He knew exactly where to go for tropical fish, Rays and sharks. Exceeded all expectations.

Really good trip! The boat is amazing, silent and very cozy. Our guide was very polite and tried to show us as much as possible! Even my daughter was able to steer :) There is also a small snack and drinks. Just book it and enjoy your time in Bora Bora beautiful waters!

We booked this as a last minute, last day activity before we left Bora Bora. SO GLAD WE DID!!! There are many tours you can select that are great - spend the day with wonderful guides and become friends with a new groups of friends on the boat. But to have a quiet, relaxing, private tour as a couple is both unique and preferred. We checked out the Manta Ray cleaning area (none around - weren't yesterday either while I was scuba diving there), and were all alone in the South area of the lagoon swimming with schools of eagle rays, sting rays, and Black Tip Reef sharks. The boat isn't the fastest out there, but is plenty quick for touring the lagoon and really feels more like a sail (which we loved). If you value you exclusivity, privacy, and peace and quiet look no further - Jeff knows his stuff, is local, and provides a wonderfully personalized experience. Enjoy!

We booked a tour with Parataito Explorer and it was truly magical. The guide was really nice and gave a lot of insights about the island. We got to do some snorkeling and swam with sharks, rays, we even saw manta rays.. Beyond words ! The boat is gorgeous and the fact they're using solar panels makes it even better : good for the environment and no motor sound ! It was truly one of the best moment we spent. An exceptional experience with Parataito Paradise Explorer! Jeff is a passionate skipper, very attentive to our wishes and an excellent pilot, even with sustained wind. We experienced an exclusive day at a very reasonable price, ideal for couples as well as families (up to 5 people). We were lucky enough to observe manta rays, sharks, blue-spotted rays, and a magnificent leopard ray. Lunch on a peaceful motu was delicious and perfectly organized. Fantastic and unique experience! A private solar boat tour. Moreover, Jeff was born in Bora and lives there; he will take you to the best spots depending on the weather. His solar boat is very comfortable. We are alone at the spots and have time to enjoy them. GoPro provided to capture your day. Drinks, fruits, and towels available. We saw manta rays, stingrays, leopard rays, sharks, multiple fish, and the coral garden with all the explanations. We had an absolutely magical time on board! The guide was professional, passionate and very friendly, which made the excursion even more enjoyable.
