Kevin was an excellent tour guide and was funny, engaging, and knowledgeable. We were treated to some amazing local colour and cuisine. Along with the views of the island, Kevin knew the best places for our Polynesian expedition.
Bora Bora was just ok. There are so many walls up you couldn’t see the beach. There is only 1 public beach. It was gorgeous! So many broken down hotels. But it was nice to see the roads were being worked on and the people were friendly. We took a rental car from Avis and it only had 1/2 day charge and got charged for the full day, even though we brought it back in 3 hours. 1 1/2 times around the island. Oh well, so blessed to have visited.
What can I say Kevin "from Heaven" was fantastic! This tour was a 5 star tour. From the moment he picked us up til the end. He took us to some great food stops, the food was delicious! The tour around the island was excellent! I highly recommend to take his tour, made our visit to Bora Bora more exciting. Thank you Kevin!
Kevin gave us a great island tour with lots of information, but this tour was sold as a food Odyssey tour and it was extremely light on the food. We started the tour with a beautiful stop at the St James where they made some delicious raw fish and coconut milk tableside. The sourdough bread was some of the best I’ve ever had. When we asked Kevin, how many stops we were going to make he was coy saying it was a surprise - so we all definitely paced ourselves on how much we ate having been on several food tours before where there’s typically 4 to 5 stops. We were given a slice of grapefruit at his family affiliated shop, where we saw an interesting demo on how they make the pareas. It is not atypical for a tour guide to make a stop at a family owned shop, so no one objected. There were several stops along the way for picture taking but no additional food until the last stop where his lovely wife had set up a table by the beach and prepared a small skewer of fish with yam, and a small cup of dessert with coconut milk on it. All of the food was very tasty, there just was very little of it. To call this a food “odyssey” tour is way over billed. And for the price we expected a lot more. The van was clean and comfortable, and Kevin was very pleasant, as was his wife.

The first stop was at a lovely restaurant where the Tahitian dish of fresh raw tuna with onions and cucumbers and fresh coconut milk was served. It was delicious. The second stop was at a food truck where we had four small plates of Tahitian delicacies served. All were very enjoyable. We then proceeded on a circular tour of Bora Bora with excellent commentary on the highlights from Kevin and several stops and photo opportunities along the way. The van was air conditioned and very comfortable. All in all we were very happy we took this tour and thank-you Kevin for a lovely day.

Kevin from Heaven provided an excellent day tour. He was very informative, funny, and fun to drive around with. He stopped at some beautiful stops, provided nice little bites, and the Poisson Cru at the end was fantastic. We were very happy that we booked this day out with Kevin.

The Bora Bora Gourmet Food Odyssey Food Tour was amazing! The tour is a wonderful way to learn about French Polynesian history. It is a perfect way to see the island’s beauty, through a narrated tour given by a knowledgeable guide. Interacting with locals, who also provide history on various aspects of French Polynesian culture is delightful. Making and learning how to wear (tie) a Polynesian tie-dye wrap is one of the activities that immerses you in traditional French Polynesian culture throughout the tour. The culinary experience of this tour was personal and exemplary! Learning how to prepare a raw fish delicacy using coconut milk from a real coconut, that you cracked and squeezed is as authentic as it comes. Did I mention the fresh seafood skewers that we learned to make?! Simply put, it was a culinary experience in paradise! This is a joyful tour that has something for everyone.
