About Activity
Pick up at the hotel, private car, to head towards the farm located on the slopes of Volcán Barú, specifically in the Volcancito area (Boquete, Chiriquí); at an altitude of 1,500 to 2,000 meters above sea level. We have 70 hectares of land: 59 for coffee cultivation and 11 for natural reserve. Our tour begins around the coffee plantations, where we show the different grain varieties that this farm produces: Geishas, Caturra, Catuaí, Pacamara, Bourbon, Typica, Java.
You will learn about the life cycle of these plants and why it is considered an organic and environmentally sustainable plantation. You can visit the area with the equipment where the honey, natural and nafa washing processes are carried out. You can also observe the coffee drying area called "African beds", the drying machines and the warehouses of this farm, where the processes for export are carried out. You will enjoy a tasting of 8 to 9 coffee varieties, 3 of which are Panamanian Geishas.
