Self check-in Hotel! We knew it and it worked very well. But after we entered the room there were some problems, which we could not solve, we contacted the staff and there was a nice lady in the house, who tried to help but she couldn't. The room was not very clean, the mirror in the bathroom had many fingerprints and the bath tub was dirty (hair etc.). The TV was not working, it was important for us to entertain the kids and get ready in the time for a family ceremony. It was chaotic. They couldn't fix the tv at all. On the next day we had a nice breakfast and the restaurant was really good.

I am sorry to have to complain but there are basic problems with this hotel. Even in our digitalised age we need a minimum of human contact. There is nobody to talk to at the reception, check- in is automatic. One night I came back late (22.00) and forgot my key in the room. Of course all doors were closed . I didn’t have my handy with me and it was a miracle that I found a kind man on the street who helped me. He called the office and a security guard arrived half an hour later. There is no excuse for not having a night porter. Don’t tell me about saving the costs. I will never come here again. And why is there no fridge in the rooms? It’s much more important than a television.
We reserved an extra bed which was confirmed but then not visible in the booking. Tried to get into contact with the hotel via mail and phone numerous times, but no response. In the end the bed wasn’t there, and as we arrived late we needed to sleep 3 in a double bed. Big disadvantage of such staff-less hotels…
First of all I want to say that I don't write a bad review very often, so let's start with the positive things. The only positive things are the breakfast and the location. For the rest it's very bad. - No service at all!!! There is a selfservice check in, a selfservice bar. Even when we asked for toiletpaper when the employee was in our room she responded: "If you want, you can pick it up later downstairs at the reception" We find this rediculous. Send somebody to bring the toiletpaper. - There was dust everywhere. Not a little bit but we could write our names in the dust on the table. There was dust on every painting, every lamp, head board and so on. - Employee not friendly at all. - Parking very expansive. - We had to pay for our dog for 2 days. For what?? We brought our own pillow, our own food. So we paid € 30 for a towel and 2 bowls. In other hotels we pay only one time. We will never going there again and We wont recommend it to others to go there!
Nice quiet neighborhood. Parking garage of the hotel is very expensive, so we tried to park on the street, which had very complicated instructions. It is not a problem at night though. Better than paying 20 euros per night for the hotel parking. There is not much to see or do in town. We were staying for an expo in Cologne, so that was not a problem. The hotel itself is decent, with decent breakfast. Seemed like it was turned into a hotel from a hospital though, which sort of weirded us out, but not bad still. The receptionist, I think Vanessa, can surely use some smiles. We were anxious every time we dealt with her. I would stay here again, because except for parking it is a good price-performance deal.
