It was fun and the food turned out delicious. The instructor did a great job of teaching us how to roll out perfect lasagna sheets.

A very well organised, informative and tasty gelato making course!!
Our chef taught us very well and shared incredibly useful information. There were only three of us in the class, so it felt like a private lesson, which was especially enjoyable. The atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. The only thing is that the shared location didn’t show the exact spot, so you might need to correct that. Other than that, I’m so glad I took this class—I learned how to make Bolognese-style lasagna and gelato in great detail. Thank you very much.
Excellent, informative experience. Gives you the confidence to do it on your own. They leave you with great recipes as well.
Wonderful experience and great theory. Really felt like we learned a great deal and had a great experience too!!
Great experience! Delicious gelato! Was very interesting to try with a different toppings at the end
Creamy Gelato that you make!! Our instructor, Mattia, guided us thru the steps to make some of the most wonderful gelato that I ever tasted…amaretto, peach sorbet, and creamy dreamy chocolate! We had a great time and our bellies are satisfied!!! Grazie Mattia
Mattia was great. Very professional and fun to cook with. We had a lot of fun in the class. Would definitely recommend this others.
Very informative about the various types of gelato/ sorbet. Guide excellent
Absolutely brilliant cookery class. Highly recommend, we made lasagne, and had gelato, wine, and aperitif. Great value for money and friendly fun evening.
I absolutely loved this ice‑cream making class. Mania, our instructor, was fantastic, clear, patient, and genuinely passionate about what she teaches. She explained every step in a way that made even the tricky parts feel easy and fun. The kitchen itself is a highlight: spotless, bright, and inspiring, the kind of place where you instantly feel creative. I learned how to make gelato amaretto, chocolate gelato, frozen yoghurt, and sorbet, and left feeling confident I could recreate them at home. It was such an enjoyable experience, hands‑on, well organised, and full of little tips you won’t find online. Highly recommended for anyone who loves gelato or wants a memorable, delicious activity in the city.
We attended the course with our 15 year old, all of us really enjoyed the class. We all took part in weighing out ingredients which were then all combined into one mix for the whole class of 12. There were 4 recipes, all of which were very nice, but the chocolate one was the winner with most people in the class. Would recommend this class to anybody. Wish we had more time in Bologna to experience the pasta making class too
Very informative and lovely experience. We throughly enjoyed learning about how to make gelato and it all tasted INCREDIBLE! Fantastic experience and a lovely break from a hot day! Francesca and Monica were amazing! Thank you.
Valentina … So much fun! Delicious food and learned a ton!
We did the workshop to make gelato. It was interesting and the gelato was excellent. We got to make 4 different flavours and taste every one with different toppings. Also a good activity with children. There’s airconditioning so also good when its too hot outside.
A marvelous meal and cooking experience. Valentina was fabulous!
I would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Bologna. First of all, we were so grateful to be in the air-conditioned kitchen on a brutally hot day when air conditioning is not easy to come by in Italy. I read other reviews that said it was less of a hands-on class and more of a demonstration and I would agree. It was a lesson/demonstration during which, each participant got to do 2 tasks to help make the gelato. It was a group effort and at the end we were able to taste 4 different flavors with delectable toppings. The instructors were great teachers and the kitchen was bright and clean. Just a tip, the mall (which seemed empty at the time) is across from the parking garage in case you have trouble finding it like we did. Oh and you can have a meal at "Trattoria da me nella torre" before the class because it's only a few minutes walk away. Thank you ladies for a lovely afternoon!
Wonderful gelato making class, with 3 varieties of gelato plus a sorbet. My daughter and I were the only people in the class so they allowed my husband to join once the gelato was ready and we all got to taste. Yoghurt with the smoked salt, and chocolate with the cherries were my absolute favourites
It was fun to learn about gelato and make 4 different kinds to try. It was a small group just 4 of us so it was nice. The chef was very knowledgeable.
You should go. It was amazing and everything was explained so thoroughly so you understand why the process works and what is key to making gelato
Chef Morina was wonderful!! We learned so much about gelato and made multiple kinds. can’t recommend enough!
This was a fantastic experience and one of our favorite memories in Italy. Monia was so kind and funny, the workspace was pleasant, spotless, and professionally set up, and the gelato treats we made were delicious! We learned much more than we expected about the interaction of the ingredients and what was important to get the best results. Thank you to Monia for a wonderful time.
The instructor provided clear instructions and explanations. She was very helpful in giving advice on how to prepare ice cream for diabetics.
A terrific experience. Francesca was delightful. We made chocolate gelato, yogurt ice cream, pastry cream gelato and pear sorbet. Topped with an array of flavors.
It was a pleasant few hours, buy not really a participating one. Someone poured in a pre-measured cup of sugar, another stirred a cup. The instructor was nice but had some trouble with English. I did not know how to make gelato at the end of the course.there was not a physical Handout but just something to scan.
If you love gelato this is for you. We had a group of four people so it was easy to hear and understand the steps of the recipes. Each of us had the chance to make three different types of gelato. The recipes were easy to understand, used simple and easy to find ingredients, and the instructor was very knowledgeable. Plus you get to eat the lesson at the end. On the day we were there, we made pistachio, pear sorbetto (sorbet), and fiore di latte (Italian vanilla) with our choice of mix ins. I recommend the amarena cherries and balsamic vinegar. Though there is no wrong answer with the mix ins. The ingredients will change based on the season as the instructor picks up whatever is freshest. The location is a little difficult to find as it is inside a small mall. The door is hidden away in the corner. You can see the kitchen clearly through the windows from the corner of the mall from the outside. The outside is near a small piazza with some trees and benches. If you arrive too early (we did) you can people watch from the benches. All in all it was a truly delightful experience.
The gelato class in Bologna was such a treat. It was really was fun and engaging, thank you Monia!! 🙏
The gelato class was such a fun and unique experience! I loved learning how to make it from scratch and experimenting with different ingredients. What surprised me the most was how many unusual flavor combinations we tried. A memory I’ll definitely take home from Bologna! Thank you Monia! ⭐️
I absolutely loved the gelato class! 🍧 We had the chance to try so many different flavors and combinations, some of which I never would have thought of, and they turned out to be absolutely delicious. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Bologna! 😍
Gelato is my passion, and this class was fantastic — truly one of the highlights of my trip to Italy. Thank you to Monia for the warm welcome and all the tips she shared. I highly recommend it to all travelers visiting Italy and Bologna!
I absolutely loved the gelato-making class! Monia made the whole experience fun and welcoming, and I learned so much. The flavors we created were incredibly tasty — some of them were completely new to me. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone visiting!
The gelato-making class experience was really wonderful, I recommend it to everyone. Monia was fantastic and very welcoming, and the gelato flavors I tried here were delicious — I had never tasted them before. Highly recommended!
This was so much fun. 2 adults and 2 10 year olds and we all enjoyed ourselves. We made 3 gelatos and one sorbet, and they all came out great. We not only completed the process, but we also learned what really matters in order to get delicious results. I highly recommend this experience.
It was great to learn the tips and tricks about making ice cream. It was a pity that you can’t do much activity yourself.
