Randy and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Bologna with Sandra yesterday. She was relaxed and informative of so many things! Wish we could have toured with her all day! We didn't feel rushed, but also felt that we received a thorough overview of the key points to see and of the history of Bologna. She even directed us to a wonderful gelateria! She was delightful and the tour was well worth the cost.

Not the best experience I had. The places we went to were very touristy and the guide could speak better English. There is so much this city has to offer.
Our guide Christina not only showed us historic buildings but pictures of how the town would have looked historically, and she guided us through the roads and pointed out local foods. The pace was perfect for my 80 year old mother and the guide accommodated us by finding a few stops where she could sit.
Despite the crappy weather our tour guide did a great job of showing us the historic sites of Bologna and helped us with a few restaurant recommendations.
Christina was very warm and friendly. Very knowledgeable and a pleasure to spend the morning with. Started at the Neptune fountain which was beautiful. Finished with entrance to the 7 churches.
Excellent tour guide. Very knowledgeable and interesting introduction to Bologna. Many fascinating facts and beautiful things to see.
Our guide was fantastic!! Absolutely brilliant. So knowledgeable, fun and made the experience wonderful
The guide was wonderful person but her English was not very good so sometimes it was hard to understand her. For the money it really was not worth it. Felt the background of the places we saw was not very complete especially from an historical prospective. The guide was on the phone for long time during the tour and was socializing with other guides verses focused on the experience. She did not realize we had food tasting as part of the experience so gave me the food voucher at the end of the tour and I did not know where to go to redeem it. She was slow walking and I wish we had cover more places.
Our tour guide was lovely - very charming and informative. We learned so much about Bologna. I would highly recommend to all.
We chose a private walking tour of Bologna. It was the perfect tour to get to know this beautiful city. Our tour guide Sara was absolutely amazing! She was knowledgeable and passionate about the history, culture and culinary traditions that make Bologna so unique! We would highly recommend this tour but especially Sara! She was an absolute gem!
I was staying in Florence, but decided to take the train to Bologna in order to get a glimpse of the red city. I chose this tour because I thought it would be ideal for a first impression of the Bologna and wow, it was much more than that. We were lucky enough to have Ricardo as a guide, who turned out to be as knowledgeable about art and history as passionate about his hometown. Grazie Ricardo, sei stato bravissimo!
Many thanks to Elena for generously & enthusiastically sharing the history & folklore of the fantastic city of Bologna in a fun & fascinating 2-hour stroll around the city center… You’ll learn lots of stuff that’s not in the guide books… Highly recommended!…
The oldest University, centuries of history dating back to the 13th century. The energy and welcoming feel of the walls and it’s people. Loved food, the churches and the towers. A college town full of life and rich in history! Loved it!
Christina was a great tour guide. We had a private tour and she provided great information about her city. She told us what other things we could do in Bologna and gave us a great understanding of the city and the food unique to Bologna. You can tell she loves what she does and loves Bologna.
The biggest waste of 2 hours. We couldn’t wait for the tour to end! We got nothing out of the tour. The tour guide was lost!
They changed the time for morning to afternoon at last min and tour was 2 hrs vs what we thought was 3 hrs. Guide was knowledgeable just a little dry.
Gini was an excellent guide. Her study of the History and charismatic presentation was informative and entertaining.
Lori was lovely - so happy to share the history and culture of her home. We saw Bologna through her eyes and were the better for it!
The wonderful guide Virginia created a perfect tour with her balance of knowledge and humor. She was also very attentive to each person in our family - young and old.
For the price we paid, the food offered was terrible and a poor reflection on your team and Bologna.
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. After three hours of walking through Bologna learning about the history and the culture we felt like we were locals. I recommend you take this tour the first day you’re in bologna so that you’ll feel comfortable moving around the city center. I grade this tour A+.
Great tour! Was able to discover the historical background of the various city attractions. Very informative and highly recommended.
Simona offered an excellent introduction to Bologna, full of historical facts and peppered with fun anecdotes. We learned interesting things about the character of the Bolognese people--their sense of independence--and about the relationship between Jewish people and Christians in the history of the city. Simone is very knowledgeable, personable, and energetic, and she was concerned for our comfort throughout the walk.
Old University is amazing, and realy mystic. We are so happy after so much kilometer with our gide that we eat so much in restaurant della laterna😎
We loved our guide Sara. She showed us all the important things and seemed to know all the answers to every question we asked. The private tour was just my wife and I (not a possible answer to the question below where I picked "solo").
After a long flight and train ride, we arrived in Bologna, Italy mid afternoon. We booked our tour almost immediately after we checked in to our hotel and was so happy we did. Our guide was fantastic and shared the city streets and all of Bologna's interesting history and food markets. She even gave us suggestions on where to eat and what not to miss during our stay. I highly suggest taking a walking tour the very first day of your trip especially after traveling overseas. This walking tour was super. GRAZIE!
Great overview of historical center of Bologna. Guide also told several amusing historical anecdotes that provided insights into the character of the Bolognese. Food and wine tasting at the end of the tour in the market area was also fun.
Riccardo was awesome! Very knowledgeable and approachable. I asked him so many questions and he answered every single one of them. Learned so much about Bologna and about Italy in general.
We had a very interesting tour with a lovely tour guide, Ricardo. We saw all the major sights and were given so much information about them. Thanks so much.
Our guide, Francesco, was super. We learned so much about the history of Bologna. We could have spent all day listening to him.
I have done tours before and this tour was absolutely the best and it all was thanks to my fabulous guide, Ilaria. She was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable and in my opinion put her heart into the tour and showing me all the best of Bologna. You must request her as your guide.
Awesome walking tour. Our guide Margharita was absolutely fantastic!! Great presentation, answered all of our questions and really made it fun! If you do this tour ask for Margharita!
Riccardo Bacchi is a very knowledgeable guide. We sometimes had problem understanding him, but, he tried his best to reiterate whatever ways he could. It was supposed to be a three hours walking the history of Bologna, he went on over an hour for us, we saw and learned a lot of Bologna, thanks to his enthusiasm of his city and the culture.
Margarita was very nice but we did not get to see several “must-see” places, including the S. Stephanos complex of churches, the Jewish ghetto area, and the Anatomical Theater. It was basically just a walk around the center square with a brief stroll through the food market area. Better command of English may have allowed for more information to be imparted.
An excellent walking tour with a guide who had great knowledge, not only of the buildings but of the history of Bologna from its very beginnings to today. She had a very pleasant manner and managed the group of six very well giving ample attention to all of us. Highly recommended.
Margharita was so informative. It was a delightful 2 hours despite the heat. I would like to have these yours everywhere I visit.
We practically did not leave the center, focusing on uninteresting topics and failing to see many other things that we later had the opportunity to learn about independently.
Ricardo gave us a great overview of the city. I can really recommend this tour to anyone. Ricardo provided a great overview about the city. I highly recommend this tour.
We were pleased and lucky to meet Assumpta, a Sicilian by origin but with an excellent command of Spanish. It gave us an approach to the essentials of Bologna. Do not hesitate to hire her!
Nuestro guía Baltazar nos llevó a sitios emblemáticos y también a lugares secretos de Bolonia. Baltazar tiene muchos conocimientos sobre la ciudad. Lo disfrutamos mucho
Very interesting guided tour by a highly competent art historian. We have learned a lot! The aperitif/snack included in the (proud) price was more of a flop (eternal Waiting time).
Classic tour of Bologna under the professional and very prepared guidance of Sara. Many details and insights on the most significant and unmissable monuments of a beautiful, sparkling and young Bologna. We will return with less haste. Thank you.
The competence and desire to pass on his knowledge of the guide. In 2 hours you can not see all of Bologna, but we have seen and known a lot on this tour. Including the skeleton of the chapel of the Magi in S.Petronio.
We had our guided tour with Tiziana. And are overjoyed about it. She brought us wonderfully closer to the city. A lot of interesting information. The tour was ideal to get to know Bologna and we can only recommend it to anyone. Tiziana could speak German very well, was very friendly and humorous. We're just thrilled. Thanks for this great tour.
Guided tour of bologna made yesterday with a trained guide. Margherita explained the secrets of Bologna and we could also visit the famous archiginnasio. Nice experience. I recommend everyone to visit Bologna
I did this tour last week with my partner and I must say that it is a great way to visit the city Very nice and prepared guide. The final tasting was all in. Thank you.
