We did the Bologna Gastronomic tour in Bologna with Valentina with 2 other couples/friends in our group. We had a great time of visiting the open air markets, butcher shops, bakeries and cheese shops. Along the way Valentina purchased items from each of the shops. We then went to the 561 year old (1465AD) "Osteria del Sole" for wine and to eat what she had purchased. We ended the tour at a gelato shop. Valentina was very knowledgeable about food production and Italy's strict food certifications and how to identify the various stamps. Valentina does have a tendency to speak a little quickly, because there is so much information that she wants to cover. Thus, you must pay attention. However, we all very much enjoyed the tour and would recommend it.

While my wife and I couldn’t wait for our tour with Tours and the City, we unfortunately had a medical issue arise that prevented us from attending. Sadly, Tours and the City was unwilling to offer any flexibility or refund any of the amount we had paid in full, adding further stress to the difficulty of dealing with medical issues abroad.
If you’re interested in food, drink, walking and a bit of history do this tour. Great fun, friendly and happy to spend time explaining the sites and food. Thoroughly enjoyed this tour - one of the best we’ve had
We had a great time with Frederica. All locations aware great and the food and drink were amazing. We were visiting our daughter on Rome and decided to go up to Bologna for the day.
Roberta was a wonderful guide! She was informative and fun! We had good food and conversation. Great for singles or couples.
Roberta was wonderful! Great food and a lot of fun! Delightful restaurants with rich history and heritage.
Roberta was awesome! We showed up late, which was completely my fault, and she still accommodated us and made it a great tour. Get the samurai gelato at the end.
Frederica was great. Very friendly and knowledgable. Great stops with delicious food. And a great way to get to know the city.
Roberta was super nice and very friendly. We had a lot of fun with our group and she was very informative on the foods that we ate at. Got to try the local bolognian food and the tour also had time for us to relax and get to know the people who were on the tour with us. Would recommend our guide and the tour itself to our friends.
Federicka was amazing! Great tour with a whole lot of eating. We had delicious food throughout the tour at wonderful places. Definitely a tour worth doing. Great way to sample some of Bologna’s finest and to also learn a bit of the city’s history. Truly enjoyable!
Great local food tour presented in fun and informative fashion. Wonderful to do early in your stay so you can get an appreciation for much of what Bologna has to offer, especially the mortadella. The tour guide was great!
Great insights into the food and culture of Bologna. Would recommend to go in the tour at the beginning of your visit. A good way to get a bearing of the central area
A lovely tour of Balogna courtesy of Alice, a local guide booked through Vivator. 12 people in the group . Alice had a very charming manner and dispensed her knowledge with humour. Breakfast pastries at the Cafe Imperico, a fascinating Balsamic Vinegar tasting at Guiseppe Giusti, cold cuts, cheese and sparkling wine in an osteria, a pasta sampling lunch with Lambrussco in a restaurant and an ice cream of your choice from 31 flavours in a family establishment. Amm excellent.
Great tour around the streets of Bologna but a local guide. The guide was raised in Bologna and gave us a very nice insight into the city. The tour included sights, secrets and delicious food.
