Slowest front desk ever .... After the glacial check-in. The rooms are functional and clean but the rooms suffer from road noise. Location is close to bus and train stations and a 15 minute walk to the main tourist centre. Don't hand the room key in as you may get stuck behind another check-in.... And your holiday will be over.
The location is good, there are a lot of gelaterias and bars within 20 minutes walks. The rooms are nice and clean, with Tvs with a good range of channels in different languages. The breakfast is decent but there isn't too much variety.
In my first room air conditioned was not working and I asked to change it, for the hotel was fine to leave me in a oven. Breakfast was ridiculous, waitress singing and wistling during the service, using mobile phone while standing at the desk. Every time I came back to the hotel in the night I had to wait a lot to have my key back. The electronic key was not working. A nightmare. I asked to talk with the director and it was not possible. I emailed the director twice after my staying there, just to notify what happened but I received no answer. They absolutely do not care about their clients.
Service is excellent, speak well English, the bed is big and clean , toilet and shower is modern, Breakfast is good, room is a little bit small but OK. compared with many hotels I've stay in bologna or other hotels in Italy before ( mercure, starhotel....) Hey, if you think I'm over rated this hotel, try other hotels in Italy and you will notice some 4.5 stars hotel don't even have the clean sheets or shower broken all the time because it's old and haven't been renovated for a long time.
Nice Hotel, stayed 4 to 5 times on business trip to Bologna. Rooms sizes are good, I love the shower, internet is fine, depends on your room location, sometimes very fast and some times reasonable. One thing which I don't like is they control the Air-condition from the reception desk.
