Staff was very helpful and professional. Breakfast was simple, but a great selection of food, in a comfortable dining room. The hotel was very willing to hold luggage prior to check-in, allowing for time spent exploring nearby. There's good places to eat, local sellers in street booths, the train station, and the Metropolitan Cathedral of St Peter within walking distance. The streets were crowded. I didn't find a place to sit down unless buying food or visiting Giardino della Montagnola.

This place is about 100 meters from the train station so super convenient. It’s clean and comfortable. My only complaint was the wifi was terrible. My room was maybe 10 meters from the elevator lobby and I barely had any signal and that signal dropped repeatedly. In this day and age if you are a hotel catering to travelers you have to have decent wifi.
Good quality hotel. I might come again. Pros: close to the train station, friendly service, modern room, good breakfast. Cons: the air conditioning in the superior room did not work well, there was only one armchair in the living room, no power socket in the bathroom.
We had a pleasant stay at this hotel, which is conveniently located very close to Bologna Centrale Station and within easy walking distance of the historic old town. The staff were welcoming and helpful during both check-in and check-out, which made the experience even better. We stayed in a suite, and the room was spacious and well-appointed, with a very comfortable bed—perfect after a day of exploring the city. The only drawback was the air conditioning. Unfortunately, it did not function effectively; it took several hours just to lower the room temperature by one or two degrees. As a result, the room remained quite warm overnight, which made sleeping uncomfortable.
We planned a three-day stay in Bologna and booked a room at the NH Bologna De La Gare. It was an excellent choice! The hotel is located on a quiet street and a nice open square that are five minutes (on foot) away from the train station. Across the square, a long avenue with Bologna’s typical “portici” brings us directly to the center of the city in about 10-15 min on foot. Our room was well lighted by a window and had modern furniture. It was nicely decorated, quiet, and very clean. Breakfast is served in a large sunny room. There is plenty of high-quality food, ranging from hot and cold dishes, fruit and pastries and including typical local products such as “salumi” and cheese. We also had the opportunity to wander around the area of the hotel dedicated to meetings and congresses. The facilities are quite impressive and seem to be well-organised. The personnel, from employees at the reception desk to event management, deserves a special mention: competent, professional and, at the same time, friendly enough to make you feel at home even in a large hotel. Overall, we highly recommend staying here and, of course, will be back at this NH hotel every time we pass by the great city of Bologna.
