Great hotel near everything we needed or wanted to see (or eat!) in Bologna. And easy walk to and from train station. We saw reviews warning about street noise, but we didn't experience any of that, even though our room was right on the main street. It was autumn though and our windows were closed. Air conditioning was also OK.

We ended up staying here unexpectedly after our flight was cancelled and we were rebooked for the following day, so this was a very last-minute booking. It turned out to be an excellent find. The hotel was incredibly easy to reach from the Marconi Express, making it ideal if you’re travelling to or from the airport. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly and welcoming, but the bar staff deserve a special mention. They were genuinely kind, attentive and made what had been a stressful day much more enjoyable. The outdoor garden and bar area are a real highlight - such a lovely place to relax with a drink in the evening. Our deluxe twin room was spotless. While the decor isn’t ultra-modern, it has a timeless charm and felt comfortable, elegant and well cared for. We also thought the hotel represented excellent value for money. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again the next time we’re in Bologna.
I stayed at Hotel Internazionale in Bologna for two nights on a business trip. The biggest advantage of this hotel is its excellent location. It is right in the city center, making it perfect for exploring Bologna on foot. The hotel also offers valet parking with a secure garage located behind the building, and the parking process itself was smooth and convenient. The only major disappointment was the parking price. My Agoda booking confirmed a rate of €23 per night, but the hotel charged €35 per night instead. The reception explained that this was an Agoda issue, but it was still an unpleasant surprise that should be clarified before arrival. Check-in was a little slow as only one receptionist was available, and the reception service was professional but not particularly welcoming. The elevators were also noticeably slow, and a different elevator had to be used to reach the parking garage. The single room was very clean but extremely small. There was hardly any space for luggage, and I had to use the small table to place my suitcase. The bed was softer than I prefer, and the room overlooked an inner courtyard without any real view. The bathroom was practical, clean, with reliable hot water, and the air conditioning worked well while remaining quiet. Overall, the hotel offers an excellent location and good cleanliness, but the room size and the overall value for money did not fully justify the price of around €360 for two nights without breakfast. I would stay here again mainly because of the location, but only if the price were more competitive.
We were very happy with our stay at Hotel Internazionale. The location is excellent and made it easy to get around and explore the area. One thing we particularly appreciated was the size of our room; it was surprisingly spacious and even had a bathroom with a bathtub, which was a nice bonus. While the hotel is a little dated in some areas, it still maintains a high standard and, most importantly, everything was very clean. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, a comfortable hotel with a great location.
Lovely hotel a little dated in some places. We had a twin room with a walk in shower which was perfect for my elderly mum. A comfortable chair in the room would have been nice. All staff really helpful especially the staff in the American bar and the Pizza and ceasar salad are really nice. We had a room overlooking the main road and we didn't hear to much noise. The beds where very comfortable and we slept well. We would happily stay there again.
