I love coffee, so I had to do the Coffee Tasting tour with Laura! I had been to a plantation near Medellin, but did not find this tour repetitive. I loved finding the flavour notes in the coffee, learning about the coffee regions of the world, and specifically where our coffee came from in Columbia. We did two cafés that were each run by the family of the plantation and were from different regions. The first was in a beautiful setting and the coffee was pleasant. A good every day coffee. The second coffee tasting was so detailed by the staff, from pouring, measuring and tasting. I even stayed after to have a latte and journal! Laura was a great guide and knew her coffee. I really learned about how to read labels on coffee bags, checking for the kind of bean, is it mixed, when it was picked, etc. The QR codes on the bag gave very detailed information. I was the only client and Laura took me around the communities and telling me about their history, and pointed out some Embassies. It was a bit of a distance, but worth it. Maybe doing one in the Candelaria region would be good. I found a coffee shop that only used beans from Huila the next day!

amazing experience. Learn a lot about coffee I would recommend it to anyone. Guide was very friendly.
We learned so much more about coffee than we expected, about coffee culture, history, growing regions and brewing methods and its effect on taste. The tasting itself is incredible, more like a wine tasting, with fragrance, aroma, body and flavors. We also enjoyed Camilas explanations tremendously
Wonderful walking tour of three Bogota coffee houses with Camila. She shared her knowledge of Colombian coffee with me, I managed to understand and define the complexities of Colombian coffee and finally understand why I like my coffee served in a cold cup. This is a wonderful, relaxed way to taste and see Bogota.
A friend of mine traveled to Bogotá before and recommended that I give this workshop a shot. The workshop price is good in my opinion. I was expecting more people to join us, as the workshop is open for reservation, but I was the only one this time. And I have to say that it was super interesting. My guide, Camila, was super helpful and did an awesome job telling the story of coffee, how important it is in Colombia, and guiding me through the different coffee types, how to navigate this sea of flavors that I wasn't aware existed before. The duration was excellent; we went a bit over the scheduled time, but I was so interested that it was such a joy! Camila did a great job introducing herself, ensuring that I was having a good time, enjoying the workshop, and learning! I would recommend doing this either alone or with friends or family. I suppose that having multiple people would make things even more fun!
Wow. So much to learn about coffee. Think of this as you might a wine tasting. Learn how to evaluate taste, flavor, aroma, body and finish. Camila shared plenty of knowledge about the coffee growing regions of Colombia … more than I can absorb. For coffee lovers, this is a fascinating education.
If you are looking for educational and informative tour on coffee this is the perfect tour.Camila was knowledgeable and engaging. The 3 coffee shops we went to were each unique and perfect spots.
I was looking forward to this coffee tasting tour. However there was miscommunication and lack of details provided regarding the exact time or a direct contact outside of the trip advisor app / website was missing. Had Karen checked in even a few days prior to the event I would have had to opportunity to request a refund earlier knowing that I would have missed the time could have been helpful. I’m writing this now sitting in the cafe waiting and no refund. I had to reach out directly to Karen directly through a WhatsApp number the coffee shop manager provided me.
An amazing trip through Colombia’s coffee regions with delicious coffee. Learned so much about the history, culture, and intricacies of the varieties.
What a wonderful tour! Karen and her team members were super knowledgeable. I learned so much about the history of coffee (globally and in Colombia), cultivation, different regions, how it’s harvested, various roasting techniques, and different brewing methods. They taught me how to truly appreciate what each different cup of coffee has to offer, from fragrance and aroma to body, flavor and beyond. Book it! It just might blow your mind like it did mine!
Daniela was an amazing hostess. This was the perfect cultural experience in Bogotá. We learned a ton about the growing and roasting process as well as how to properly taste and enjoy many specialty coffees. I’m now officially a coffee snob!
We had a great time! Our guide Laura was wonderful and super informed about all things Colombian coffee. We learned a ton about the coffee belt and how coffee is cultivated and produced. Highly recommend.
We enjoyed this tour. We learned about how coffee is made using different methods and we got to taste different types of coffee which is great. Highly recommend this tour.
We went to 3 different coffee Shops and tried 3 different coffees, each from a different area of Colombia. Daniela explained how the process from the picking until the consumption works. She's a very amable person and was answering all my questions. Can recommend it even on a rainy day
Great experience and interesting/enlightening knowledge share. We participated in a coffee workshop as a group of business travelers from Brazil, Colombia, and the United States. Karen was a great hostess/facilitator and took time to show us not only the best coffee shops, but also restaurants and activities around the neighborhood as well! The workshop was engaging and tailored to our wishes. Highly recommend!
This was the best tour! First of all, the cafes that they took us to were SO cute and cool. I ended up buying something from each of them. They were awesome choices and the coffees we tried were really really good, and notably unique. Most importantly, our tour guide Daniela was so so awesome. She was sweet, fun, a great facilitator, but then also incredibly knowledgeable about Colombian coffee/coffee in general. She was super intentional and made sure that we got to try coffee from the northern Colombian coffee region, the Bogota region, and the southern region. She explained the general differences between the coffees that each region produces and taught us so much about coffee and tasting. Our group was so into it and couldn't stop asking questions, all of which Daniela was well prepared to answer or comment on. The schedule was great, the flow of the tour was great, the walking wasn't too much. Very well organized and structured. Overall it was the best experience. I learned an insane amount about coffee, tasting, Colombia, and many other things. Our group of 5 was small, but big enough to get chatty and share questions and personal experiences with each other. Overall it was an awesome day and I'd absolutely recommend this tour to anyone. We loved it!

An invaluable experience. Absolutely wonderful. Daniela was an engaging, knowledgeable, and an overall great guide. We left with a new found love for coffee and Colombia. I usually am skeptical about tripadvisor activities, but this one is a gem. Thank you Daniela. Keep it up!
Informative and well presented. The choice of cafes complimented the choice of coffees. A pleasant talkative walk between each cafe helped highlight the vibrant cafe scene in Bogotá
I would highly recommend this workshop which takes you to three different specialty coffee shops to taste three different coffees and pouring methods. I happened to be the only person on my tour, and Daniela walked me through the entire coffee making process and answered all the questions I asked. You could tell she has been doing this awhile because her knowledge and ability to convey the information is fantastic. If you are staying in the Chapinero / Zona G neighborhood there is no reason not to experience this tour since it's just a few steps away. Even if you are farther away, a quick bus or Uber ride gets you to the area to enjoy a wonderful educational and fun coffee experience.
We had a great time! Our tour guide Daniella was super informative and also good fun! We learned a lot about the Colombian cafe culture.
I had a private class about coffee and my guide was so interesting and tought me a lot of knowledge about coffee and I can't have a better morning to start my last two days in Bogota. I will do this again to scratch the surface of this coffee knowledge.
This was an excellent tour of local coffee roasters and delicious specialty coffees. Daniela was a wonderful tour guide and coffee educator. I drink coffee often, but with her guidance I was able to explore the flavors in multiple ways I haven’t considered before now. She also gave great local restaurant recommendations and pointed me in the direction of some incredible chocolate.
This is an excellent tour. My guide Daniela knew so much about coffee and led us to three great spots to explore the specialty coffee scene in Bogota. I'd highly recommend this.
Very informative! I had a great time, and all the locations were close enough to walk. My guide was really friendly, and I bought some great coffee at one of the cafes.
The tour guide Daniela was very well versed in coffee and i learned a lot. She picked out some good coffees to try and was a delight. The tour was great.
Our Specialty Coffee Workshop experience was outstanding. Booking was easy and perfectly accomadated our needs. Our group ranged from serious coffee enthusiast to " I don't really like coffee, but I will come along". Everyone sincerely enjoyed the experience. We all learned alot about coffee. We enjoyed visiting the different locations, checking out the roaster, learning about proper preparation, trying our tasting skills and meandering about one of Bogota's coolest neighborhoods. Karen was a terrific teacher and guide, who kept everyone engaged to the point that we kept her about an hour longer than scheduled. She was patient and gracious, answering all of our questions. I would highly recommend this workshop to anyone at any level of coffee interest; just a great, enjoyable experience from start to finish.
This was a wonderful workshop, I learned so much from Laura! She was super knowledgeable and kind. I’m not normally a coffee drinker, but I was still able to enjoy the experience fully with all the history behind the coffee of Colombia.
Laura was very kind and informative! She gave us a brief tour of the neighborhood while en route to our various destinations. I came away feeling I learned a lot about Colombian culture, the coffee scene included of course. I also loved that the tour company made an effort to support cafes that supported pickers, indigenous peoples, and other social causes. This tour was very well done and the perfect kick-off to our Colombian adventure.
There were many great highlights with this experience. I really did enjoy learning about the different coffees; and how to properly taste for the balance, note, and sweetness of the different types of coffee. Awesome tour guide! She was quite knowledgeable about coffee
They canceled this tour the day before it was to happen. I could not access email at the time, so I wasted hours traveling and waiting for the tour guide. They still sent me many emails about the trip even though they had cancelled the tour. I booked months in advance too. Do not waste your time booking this tour.
As a big fan and coffee lover and especially espresso style, I enjoyed the specialty coffee workshop conducted by the lovely Daniella who did a great job introducing the coffee shops (cafe 18, CAFE Cultor), explaining various coffees, and processes. We were a bit unlucky with power outage at the third coffee company so we ended up going back to #2. but it was still great and Cafe Cultor was great fun place and had a delicious coffee to end the event. Would have been nice to actually see/smell the roasting of the beans.
I had a great experience with Laura from Flavours of Bogota. She took me to some really nice cafes and taught me a lot about Colombian coffee and coffee culture!
Laura was fantastic!! She was such a sweet, patient, and knowledgeable guide. She showed us excellent cafes and her passion for coffee was unmistakable. Thank you for a memorable tour
We had a fantastic tour with Karen. She is so knowledgeable and passionate about specialty coffee. Karen was engaging, answered all our questions and gave us suggestions. An educational and very interesting tour.
This was a lovely experience and I would recommend it to any friend visiting Bogotá. During the tour, Daniela explained a lot about coffee, its industry, and its importance to Colombia. Also, she put us in the position of coffee experts who had to taste different types of coffee and rate/categorize them. Highly recommended!
We had a wonderful time on our speciality coffee workshop with Karen! She was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and we learned so much about the Colombian coffee industry. Would definitely recommend!
Daniela was amazing, her knowledge of coffee and the region's is unparalleled, if you are reading this then please do this tour, not to be missed and a lovely way to spend your morning, we got loads of coffee also haha thanks Daniela
We had a great time at the specialty coffee workshop in Bogota. The coffee shops we visited were excellent and in a cute neighbourhood that we may not have otherwise visited. Our guide Daniela was friendly, spoke English very well, and taught us a lot about coffee in general, in addition to the tasting. We would definitely recommend the workshop to others visiting Bogota.
Highly recommended for all coffee lovers! Daniella was an amazing host, extremely knowledgeable and very pleasant which made the tour extra fun and informative. I learned a lot about coffee from plant to cup, as well as how important it is to Columbians.
Daniela was awesome!! She is super friendly and did a great job explaining to us rookies about the different regions, processes, and flavors that go into a cup of coffee. She answered all of our questions and provided some great local recommendations!
I LOVE the coffee tours done by Flavors of Bogota. This was my third time doing a workshop with them and I continue to learn new things each time. Daniela was wonderful and knowledgeable, her love of coffee and coffee culture is infectious. I will continue to do these workshops when I have other coffee loving visitors come through!
Daniela Moya, our guide, was so nice and welcoming. She took us through the whole experience, step by step and it was lovely! Karen was really reactive when I reached out the evening before the tour, and made it possible for me to attend before I left Colombia, and supplied me with lots of cool information. I did a coffee plantation visit (in Minca, la Victoria, really good as well) but you don't try coffees from different regions and THAT is what is great with this tour. With the added bonus of learning the best way to brew it. Plus there is so much more coffees from different regions to discover after the tour. I have at least 6 to try at home ! It was great to share this experience with other people as well, throwing around ideas and tastes, sharing travelling experiences. Definitely a must as far as I am concerned, thank you SO MUCH Karen and Daniela ❤️
Flavors of Bogota is such an awesome and unique experience. We had a lot of fun on our tour with Karen (owner of the company). Karen is one of the most knowledgeable persons we had ever met regarding coffee. We learned so much about the whole process of coffee's journey from bean to cup. You'll will come away from this tour with a deep appreciation not only for coffee in Colombia but coffee in general. We toured three unique, delicious specialty coffee shops in Bogota. Each location offered a delicious different brew. Karen took great care to explain exactly what kind of coffee we were drinking but to also ask us our thoughts and opinions on the coffee we tasted. All coffee was delicious and memorable. We bought beans from the second location. Our tour group was very small, only 5 people! If you are looking for a personal and unique experience in Bogota, this is the tour for you. The shops you visit are extremely dedicated to maintaining high standards for coffee culture in Colombia. If you have time and love coffee or want to know more about coffee, check this tour out. You will not be disappointed.
This was one of the top highlights of my trip to Bogotá! Daniela is super knowledgeable about coffee, everything ranging from history, growing, brewing, to culture. She guided us through all of that information as we sipped on coffee from three different specialty coffee shops. As a regular coffee drinker, I am so glad to have done this workshop to have a more nuanced understanding of how to evaluate coffee beans from different regions, varieties, method, etc, and to discover the flavors that I enjoy most. I definitely recommend to anyone who likes coffee or who wants to develop a deeper understanding of coffee culture and how it intertwines with the culture, economy, and people of Colombia! This was also a great way to begin my trip in Bogotá as Daniela gave me great recommendations on food to try, places to visit, and how to navigate the bus system!
Interesting tour but we didn’t taste a variety of coffees. It was all the same, everyone tasted the same flavors from the flavor wheel over and over.
What an amazing and educational experience! Karen and Laura were great hosts with great personalities and immense knowledge on coffee and the cultivation of the bean. We got to experience some of the best flavors from three shops in the area. Met some wonderful people from around the world and lasting friendships to come. Highly recommend!!!!
We had a wonderful tasting and educational experience with this workshop. This tour provided a great opportunity to taste and purchase speciality coffee from interesting producers who are making an impact in their communities and country. This is absolutely worth the time and provides a great way to start the day.
Tour guide, Daniella (I think that’s her name), was very knowledgeable and answered everyone’s questions. The experience was great, as we toured the coffee shops and learned the different coffee making techniques! Worth the 3 hours, and be prepared to drink a ton of coffee!
We did the coffee tour on Saturday morning and it was absolutely incredible. Ale was a lovely, knowledgeable guide who had a lot of interesting information about coffee and Colombia, but she also made everyone in the group feel involved and comfortable sharing. We had a great time, and of course, the coffee was delicious!
